We had lunch here for Mother's Day and overall enjoyed the food. However, menu was very limited so there were not many options to choose from. We were also charged $9 for water; our server stated that the water pipes were not working which we thought was unusual. The restaurant could benefit from some upgrades and general maintenance as well. All the tables and chairs were peeling paint and the floors appear very worn out.

strawberry margarita - missing or not enough lime and tasted like cough syrup

Visited for the Colombia vs Switzerland game on 7/7 there was some confusion about the table situation and I was left alone at the table while our group was still getting situated Every single worker only spoke spanish so I was having issues trying to figure out what happened about the table situation anyway As a solely English speaker, I asked the waitress to wait a moment for a spanish speaker from my group to handle whatever was going on as I was just told to sit at the table. The waitress was extremely rude and abrasive (both to me in English and when speaking spanish with somebody from my group) and when we went to speak with a manager to make them aware of the issue that was mostly due to a language barrier anyway that waitress came out and said along the lines of "I don't speak English, and you don't speak Spanish but yet you come to a Colombian restaurant" to me in a very snide manner to me when I was just trying to make them aware that due to the language barrier and the issue that everything felt like it was handled improperly. Didn't realize that entering The Simón Parilla by the Florida Mall teleported me to South America and that standard respect to the paying customer went out the door. Also, somebody we knew who entered later (and speaks 0 Spanish) said they spoke with her at the door and she spoke english just fine with him. I suppose she thought I was rooting for the Swiss Management wrote us off and didn't do anything to make me feel satisfied despite the fact that I was shaking after her comment and I definitely won't be returning whatsoever to this location to eat, or to watch any games in the future. They do have many TV's to watch the game, and that extended to the outside as well with a lot of chairs if you aren't seated in the restaurant however that would be uncovered with a large screen. Ordered a (double) strawberry margarita after all of that, and it wasn't made well, it tasted like straight syrup and absolutely no lime When I asked for it to be remade I was told it was because it was a double and that I'd have to order something else so I asked for a plain one instead (As somebody with bartending experience I know when something is a margarita or not, & maybe it was but it was definitely not prepared / shaken properly) Plain margarita wasn't awful and I ordered a water as well, and my water finally arrived an hour into the match, after asking the worker at the door for assistance. Somebody at the table ordered the Picada ($41) and it was not good 4 empanadas for $11 also was mid, have had better at kiosks so very surprising for a restaurant $10 entry pp (free drink given at entry beer/water/soda) Table had a minimum spend of $40 per person(!) Our actual waitress did well and wasn't rude, however she definitely had too many guests to take care of and that hurt the quality of service she was able to give.

What a great find! Located across the street from The Florida Mall, I ended up there because I wanted to eat at a local restaurant and not Mall food. There was some kind of event going on inside the restaurant so I was able to get a table outside on their patio. Luckily the weather was perfect, so sitting outside was a nice treat. The patio and all tables were clean and my server came over to me within a minute or so and helped me a bit with the menu and my decision. I ended up ordering the Bandeja Paisa, which was an AWESOME serving of a platter of deliciousness, An authentic plate from the central colombian area. A generous portion of the dish included: grilled steak, colombian sausage, fried pork rinds, fried eggs, sweet plantains, corn breed. red beans, white rice and avocado. Along with an ice cold Modelo, happiness was upon me!! This place is now on my "list" and I will be back!!!

Simon Parilla has some of the BEST arepas I have tasted aside from my Mother-in-law. They truly bring the Colombian flavor to its patrons. Every bite was delcious and never lacked flavor. The decor outside and inside was gorgeous. The service was outstanding, always attentive and catered to every need. This restaurant doesnt disappoint. Towards the end of the night, this place switches to a nightclub for all the dancers out there. Who doesnt love good food then dancing?

The food wasn't warm. I received it about 30 mins later than I expected. Other than that The steak was good and the chimichurri sauce.

Came to have lunch on Mothers Day right when it opened. It looks like outside they were setting up to have a bounce house and they had balloons outside and they were still setting up inside. The inside is a bit run down and old looking, tables and chairs chipped and paint peeling. Looks like it needs a little maintenance. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. Menu was very limited and that's understandable as it tends to be a busy day. Ordered water and was not advised there is a charge for the waters ($3 per bottle). I had the pandeja paisa and it was a good portion but feel it was lacking a little flavor. Also ordered a Simon's picada which is a shareable platter for 4 people. That one was very disappointing. It was mostly potatoes, yucca fries and plantains. Not to mention the meat was burnt, hard, and flavorless, the chicken was dry with no flavor. Not sure if it was old meat and chicken or maybe it had been sitting there (which it shouldn't be since we arrived right when they opened). But it was not enjoyable.

The atmosphere of this place at night is entertaining and lively. They play good music and sometimes they have karaoke. We randomly stopped in on our way home from a trip. My husband was craving a good Parrilla with The picanha, which is just top sirloin cap cut of steak. But its our favorite to order. We ordered the Picada de la casa for two and it came with a lot of food. It had Pork, chicken, chorizo, and Picanha. All the meats were flavorful, but some pieces tasted a little too dry for our liking but over all was a great pick for the price and probably could have served three people. They also have a bigger option for 4 people to share. It also came with a couple different sides. We got little roasted potatoes, arepas, fried yucca, and tostones. Also a great tip make sure to order the Chimichurri sauce for the steak or anything because its so delicious. The sauce is made of fresh herbs, garlic, olive oil, and vinegar. I ordered the house margarita because they were having a certain happy hour. But it was way too citrusy and watered down. So I recommend trying something else because they have many other options on the menu. Overall, cool place to hang out for a chill night out with good music!

The food was a great deal. The bandeja is plenty for 4 adults and we had leftovers. The cocktails weren't the best as they were packed full of sugar. There is plenty of seating and the atmosphere was lively.

The ambience at this restaurant is really nice--good music and an overall pleasant vibe. The food was also good. I ordered the paisa platter, which came with four items: steak, eggs, white rice, beans, and sausage. Everything was perfectly cooked and the portion could definitely be shared. I also had two drinks: a coconut limeade and a natural mango juice--both were refreshing and flavorful. What stood out (in both good and not-so-great ways) was the service. Our waitress shot out to Sergio!! was clearly doing the job of multiple people, bouncing between waitressing and bartending, while the rest of the staff seemed disengaged. We weren't greeted when we came in, and we didn't even get a "thank you" or "have a good day" on our way out. Overall, great food and atmosphere--but the service and friendliness of the staff could use some improvement.

The food was honestly really good, and the music gave the place a nice vibe. But the service just didn't sit right with me. We weren't even greeted when we walked in, and no one said "have a nice day" when we left. It felt like only two people were actually working while the rest just stood around talking to each other, leaning on the walls. I get that it wasn't super busy, but a little acknowledgment goes a long way. It kind of took away from an otherwise good experience. Sergio was great, he was carrying most of the load-- working the bar, and serving us. Shoutout to him!

Food was good, Service needs improvement. - This is one of my favorite restaurants when I visit Colombia. Food was just as good but either the restaurant is too big, too wide to handle ( which i ll be surprise bc the ones in Colombia as as that big) or they were under staff. My server and other servers walked by my table and always avoided eye contact with us unless they were coming to deliver a plate. Once that was done, no follow up or checking on us. Even to close us out i had to chase a manager to get the bill delivered and still waited 10 mins and chased a server to close out my tab. They need to work on customer service and train people specially if must of their staff are very young employees. -Other than that, food was super tasty, generous portions and drinks were really good. -Ambiance was super nice, with good background music and beautiful decoration.

We went here to celebrate a friend's birthday. They were able to accommodate our large group of 14 adults within an hour's notice. When we arrived, we were promptly seated outdoors. The inside is spacious with lots of seating and they had live music playing inside that day. The outside patio had a dj playing reggaeton music. The drinks were strong and promptly served. As for the food, it was delicious. My Colombian friend approved and she is very selective about Colombian food in the area. The service for food was a bit slow but somewhat expected with the size of our group. 2 of my friends ordered the fried fish. The presentation of the Mojarra Frita was impressive as it was skewered on a stand as if it was swimming above your plate. It was served with rice, plantains and a side salad. Cue the song lyrics, "But First Let Me Take a Selfie!". After the photo worthy pics were done, kissing their fish, they proceeded to devour it, face and all. Another friend ordered the grilled chicken breast. The same sides were served with this dish as well. She ate the chicken and seemed to enjoy it. Personally, I would have ordered it with some sort of creamy garlic sauce, which they do offer. It was served very plain with no sauce. The empanadas only came with beef. They were large and had a generous amount of a beef and potato filling. Perfectly fried and served with 2 sauces. They were delicious. Since I couldn't decide on what I wanted, I went with the Bandeja Paisa. This provides a variety of a few meats, along with the usual sides. It was served with a nicely seasoned tender steak, cooked to your desired temperature. It also came with a Colombian Chorizo sausage and fried pork rinds for the meat. All excellent. For the sides, it came with plantains, rice, beans and an arepita. The rice was some of the best tasting rice I have had in a while. It was perfectly cooked, seasoned with salt and I believe butter. A fried egg was placed on top. I only wish the egg was runny, although some may have preferred it cooked this way. The beans were also very good. I would definitely come back to this place to enjoy the music and great food.

Wow, SOOOOOOOOOOO glad we stumbled on to this restaurant, and what a discovery experience this was!! Atmosphere? Uh, eclectic, fun, colorful, and homey feel. Service? Sweet, friendly, and attentive! Food? Whoa...!! There were just absolutely nothing that we didn't like. Our Fav had to be the Empanadas. We ate the 4 that came with the appetizers, AND, had to order another 4 for the road. Yes, it was THAT good!! Main entrees, we had 1 lunch house special combo of sautéed steak bits & onions, chicken soup, salad, rice & beans! Cleaned it!! Wife had the grilled chicken breast combo plate. Large portion, took half to go for later

The food has always been GREAT. The service and staff have always been great. They are not overly priced and they offer a good amount of food for what it is you are paying for. Flavor profiles are great. I am creature of habit, so I get my usuals when I order here. Among those usuals include the yuca fries, beef empanadas, guava and cheese empanada (when I want something sweet), the plantains, the tostadas, and I also enjoy their bowls. I've never had their burgers or some of their other platters, but I know those that have and they have yet to be disappointed. Being that Super Rico is located on the ground level of the parking garage my job uses, it is a restaurant I frequent. They are pretty quaint inside with limited seating, but they do have a good amount of outdoor seating with covered umbrellas. So, as long as the summer rain isn't too heavy, it is usually quite nice sitting outside to eat. They will also set up screens outdoors when there are major games, like they did for the World Cup. So, if you're ever looking for a spot to watch sports, they definitely do accommodate.

Being part of the parking structure doesn't mean that they validate your parking. If you can find street parking, definitely do that instead. I had the churassco med-well. It came with two sides, I had the tostones and salad. It was alright, but I definitely had better. I ordered it to eat it there and they put all the sauces in to-go containers, which was weird. The sauces were in such tiny containers, you definitely would need more. My friend got the mushroom arepa and a side of the sweet plantains that she really enjoyed. Service was good. The girl taking our order was super nice and polite. It was more like one step up from fast/food and self-served. You order at the counter and they give you a number for your table and they bring out the food to the table and you clean up after yourself.
