Hey it's 3:30 a.m. I should write a Quiznos review. I bumped it up from 1 to 2 stars because the staff works hard and they are pleasant and accurate. And they keep it clean. I appreciate good people. Everything else is poor or unremarkable. I visit Quiznos only at the request of other people. Their "lobster & seafood" sandwich was bland and had a mushy texture. The titular protein is delivered in the form of processed fishballs where the rice-sized seafood particles are indistinguishable from each other. There are no chunks of lobster to be seen here. Subway has the worst bread and Quiznos is right down near that level. Au Bon Pain has the best fyi, imho, ok? Jimmy John's isn't 100% crappy bread. Potbelly bread is ok but I think they chose that name to mock me. Hmph! Damn it, I nodded off and backspaced away some high-quality review. No more night owl writin'. The competition in the sandwich market is cray. Delis beat the chains. Even supermarket delis beat them. So they need to be obsessive about the important stuff. Bread, freshness, condiments, texture, moisture-- and flavor is the big one. Screw these chains and go get Vietnamese bahn mi sandwiches. Those are the best in every way. Quiznos is way too expensive for this quality. Back in 1994 they were great, but they grew into a chain and adopted corporate food practices (cheap). Their bread used to be memorable, and they'd give a couple cherry peppers with every sandwich. This location was packed with young ladies on a Saturday night, so there's that. They're half my age so I was invisible to them -- as it should be! wah

I recommend the Black Angus Steak and the Lobster Scampi Bake. Hubby and I order both to share. Soooo good.

This review is just for this Quiznos location, because for whatever reason this is the only Quiznos I've tried that actually makes good sandwiches. The mesquite chicken I get here is so much better than subway, tastes fresher, and keeps me coming back. Quiznos is a strange chain, they are all so different, but this one is actually worth coming in if you're in the area and in the mood for a quick lunch.

It didn't occur to me that this was probably the only location left. I was going to drop off my friend for a check up and we stumbled in front of this. He pointed it out and it made me think really think about how I haven't seen any Quiznos. The service was quick and extremely cordial. My friend and I conversed with I'm assuming is the owner of this current location. Apparently it's been here for 17 years. I would definitely come back here to support and sustain this establishment. If you have a craving that's not exactly Jimmy John's or Subway, this is my go to spot to fill that void.

We bopped in and little to our surprise, it was the best decision we made all day. I got the shawarma bowl with gryo and the garlic sauce fries and wow, everything was to die for. I wish I wasn't just visiting Chicago so this place was more accessible to me everyday. But I fear i'd go broke if this was in my city. This is a great quick lunch option especially if visiting the zoo/park/beach area. Everything felt light, fresh, and healthy. It felt a little pricey for me but it's Chicago so it may be normal so take that as you will but for how delicious and the amazing ingredients it's worth it. Especially that dang pink sauce on the fries....you've got to get the garlic sauce fries if you check this place out. Some of the most beautiful and tasty fries i've ever had! The atmosphere is cute and bright too. A happy place to eat lunch and hang out in! I'm not from Chicago so i'm already missing this place! Add to your "must try" list for sure!

Dresscode: Smart Casual / Casual Noise Level: Medium (it gets buzzy after 5:30pm) Thursday night Happy Hour was lively, so it took about 10-15 minutes for someone to come around, but service was attentive once we got going. The food is where Ēma really shines. From the Happy Hour menu, the Charred Eggplant Hummus and Crispy Potatoes were generously portioned and great for sharing. On the main menu, the Indian-Mediterranean fusion Bhel Hummus was a party for my taste buds, while the Hot Honey Halloumi and Chicken Kefta rounded out the table nicely. The halloumi is more of a side than a main, but that sweet-and-salty hot honey combo was chef's kiss. For our finisher, the Chocolate Torte knocked us out. Decadent, delicious and chocolate with lots of depth. Overall, Ēma is an excellent spot to order a bunch of dishes for the table and get an elevated meal without feeling stuffy, and delicious without taking itself too seriously. DO's: - Make a reservation ahead, especially for happy hour 4-6pm - Treat apps like small plates, order 2-3 to sample - Entertain their wine list, they have a lot! - Bring vegetarians here, there are plenty of options DON'Ts: - Dismiss the desert menu. It's fantastic and shareable! - Forget to ask for extra pita with the hummus! - Miss out on the LettuceEats loyalty points (check-in with your server before paying your check)

Sat at the bar and the bartender wasn't in the best mood. Minus one star for the combination of the large pieces of cabbage core and sat at the bar for about 15 minutes - no one was there to serve us.

They played good music and wasn't too loud. You could easily carry on a conversation or , like me, continue listening to a podcast. By the time I finished, the place was completely full and a bit noisy, but not bad. I started out with a 10oz Birds of Prey Pilsner. It was very nice. Light and crisp and very easy to drink. I followed that up with Melodious Maibock and ordered the CBG burger with fries. I didn't have lunch so I dove right in and forgot to snap a photo. It was a very good smash burger. It was cooked well and I really liked the combination of pickled onion and caramelized onion. I didn't see it until later but you can add bacon. As much as I loved this burger, bacon would totally take it up a notch! I started chatting with the bartender about their different beers and decided to have the Super Melodious Jalapeño Maibock with the burger. It's soooo different, but in a good way. It paired so well with the burger. You get green bell pepper on the nose and a hint of it on the palate. When you swallow you get a little heat at the back of the throat. It was so good! Great bar. Great food. Great beer. Go check them out!
