Today, they ran out of strawberries and watermelon. So, we ordered the Passion Fruit Sparkling Water with Aloe. Yummy!

Proof of my transaction to buy one drink and I was charged $57.78.

I am writing this review with a lot of dismay because this is absolutely a ridiculous situation. Over Memorial Day weekend, my wife and I were doing some shopping at the Otay mall, we went into R&B, and only myself got a drink for about $8. This was on Saturday May 24th. By the end of the week I had noticed on my account that they had charged me $57.78. I tried to call several times, they do not answer their phone at all. When I found time in my schedule to go back into the store, I talked to somebody who said they were an assistant manager, and when I told them the situation they said that they had had other problems with the tip amounts being increased, without the customer knowing. She called someone named Miss Ann . She texted a screenshot of the transaction on my statement to her, and I was told that she would reach out by the end of the night. She did not. I went back into the store on Friday, June 6. I was as nice as I could be as the people working there, are obviously not responsible for this, yet they protect "Miss Ann." The guy working there, his name was Noah, called her up again and she answered the phone. He apologized for bothering her and shared that I was back in the store. She knew who I was, and as the call was on Noah's speaker, I heard her say "oh, I know, I know," acting very panicked and she said "don't give him my number don't give him my number." He walked around to the edge of going into the back, and came back and said that she would call me by tonight. Again, she did not. I expect to get this resolved, but this is an incredible waste of time, and obvious error, and the manager here has no desire at the moment to communicated all, and somehow thinks I'm going to go away. I will update here to share what ends up happening. In the meantime, be aware, that they knowingly have a tip button that alters the amount of the tip, and to date have not done anything about it, so check your statements. I hope everyone reading this has a wonderful day , thank you.

    Boba run.

Pretty good boba here. I came with my son and he ordered the strawberry stormy and I had ordered the taro stormy. I wanted less sugar since I try not to consume too much sugar and carbs. I thought it wouldn't be good but 30% less sugar was perfect to me. We both got added boba in our drinks. We used the touch screen to place the order and it came within 5 minutes. Prices are a little more expensive than other places that serve boba around here bit maybe it's because it's at the mall. Straws weren't stocked up when we came so I had to ask a worker for one. I will definitely come back to try other drinks.

I got the Brown Sugar Boba Milk and it was great! It was so creamy and the sweetness was perfect for me. R&B Tea is one of my favorite boba places in San Diego and it's always consistently amazing. The price range is $5-$7 per boba drink depending on what you order and additional toppings. When I walked in the store I was trying not to laugh because there was this weird Halloween music playing. I'm sure it was an inside joke between the employees but it sounded like Casper was coughing up a gospel song super loudly through the speakers, I had no idea what that was. Not a negative comment! Just thought it was so funny.

Worker was nice and answered questions. Self order kiosk available. Clean, little shop with one bench for waiting for your order. Drinks were good, we got the Taro Stormy, Wintermelon Green Tea, and Vietnamese Coffee. Vietnamese coffee was not as strong as normally expected from other places.

Super refreshing! Nice mall location with some standing space but no seating. Great menu though some items - like Green thai tea - were out of stock. Pricing on the higher side (up to $6 drinks with an additional $1 for boba) but high quality and came out promptly. Service was friendly. Overall good!

Everyone's complaining about them not having avocados but I didn't have an issue today. Anywhere that uses fresh anything is eventually going to run out. Either because of supply issues or just popularity. The place is small but organized and simple. The staff was super friendly (Jason and Lia) and made my drinks fast even though there was a lot of people. I would definitely come back here as the drinks were reasonably priced and definitely flavorful.

The boba community in Chula Vista is growing, which definitely satisfies my sweet tooth. I have tried their taro stormy, matcha stormy, and lychee yakult and all drinks did not disappoint. The stormy drinks are the perfect slush -- not too icy, but did not melt quickly. Paired with their boba, which is sweet and not too chewy, makes for a great drink. If you're feeling something fruity and especially refreshing, I would suggest something from the fresh fruit tea series or the yakult series! I have not been here during peak hours, but I know it can get very busy. The staff remains calm and collected through it all.

Lots of drinks sitting there while no numbers were called out

Glad to see some new options of boba in the area. R&B is located across Apple and is a small store. The drinks are not bad. I got the classic milk tea with egg pudding but the pudding was bland. Overall, an okay spot but I think the staff needs a little bit more organization. There were 3 people in the front during my visit but only one was helping out.

I was waiting for my food from the Chilaquiles Place across the way and surprisingly stumbled across this tea shop. I don't know that boba pairs well with Chilaquiles, but who cares.. I wanted it anyway! I'm glad I stopped in because the mango stormy was exactly what I needed but didn't know it. A stormy is an iced-blended drink, like a smoothie. I added boba to the drink so I could assess the chewiness and flavor and I was not disappointed. There are so many drinks on their menu that sound so interesting - I will definitely try one of the teas with aloe next time, like the Lychee Green Tea with Aloe Vera. I'm so happy to see these small businesses pop up in this mall and I'm happy to support them!

Vietnamese coffee, taro stormy with boba

My husband and I went tonight for the first time and tried the taro stormy with boba and the Vietnamese coffee. The boba lacked consistency but the taro had an okay flavor. The Vietnamese coffee had no flavor. It tasted watered down. I was a bit disappointed because it looked in the pictures. I hope this helps.

I personally love the Dragonfruit Mango Green Tea with lychee! It's so refreshing to drink and it's a perfect amount of sweetness for me. The first time I came in there I was not too impress with the smell as there was a strong cleaner or bleach smell. Since I'm pregnant it may just be extra strong but my best friend confirmed the smell. Other than that, I'm looking forward to try their other flavors!

Expensive, mid milk tea with nonexistent customer service. Not surprised there's barely anyone there most of the time.

Walking in, the space has those hometown, community vibes you would hope would make you feel comfortable and welcome. The shop is also surprisingly spacious for a coffee shop, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Unfortunately, the experience itself was not what I expected. It wasn't a particularly busy morning, and there were at least four baristas behind the counter, yet my husband and I waited at least 20 minutes for our drinks. Our pastries came out fairly quickly, but that meant we had to eat them separately rather than enjoying them with our coffee. To make matters worse, my croissant tasted burnt. Yuck. When I finally heard my name called, I walked up to the counter and saw two drinks sitting there. Since neither was labeled, I politely asked the barista which drink was which. Instead of simply helping me, she responded, "I haven't made yours yet," with a pretty obvious attitude. It was an unnecessarily rude interaction and definitely didn't make me feel welcome. I went back to my seat and ended up waiting another five minutes for our drinks. And unfortunately, the coffee itself didn't make up for the wait. I ordered the salted maple latte, and my husband had the French vanilla latte. Both were mediocre at best and left us pretty underwhelmed. Overall, I really wanted to like this place, especially because of its cute atmosphere and convenient location. But between the long wait, burnt pastry, unfriendly service, and disappointing coffee, our first experience was not a good one. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.

A weird experience but the effort is appreciated…read more Came in one weekend out of convenience, we were driving around the area and my gf highly recommended it. We parked and noticed nearly all the lights were off. The pastry cabinet was empty, the tables were taped off. But people were inside and customers were in line. Emotions and energy were low, it was quiet and dim vibes all around. We walk in and see just one man working the cashier and making the drinks. He looked puzzled, a bit lost. We get in line behind someone ordering 4+ drinks and see that this guy didn't really know how to make the drinks. He was misplacing the ingredients and wasn't fully confident operating the payment system. The back counter was cluttered with miscellaneous gadgets, appliances, and syrups. It took nearly 20 minutes for the customer in front of us to get from ordering to receiving their drinks and we just watched in slight awe. The guy was apologetic and upfront, he was trying his best in a bad situation. They made some small talk and hinted that they were closing due to supply chain disruptions in Hawaii. I feel for them and wish them well. The coffee itself was ok. Flavor was decent but somewhat unremarkable. They offer different caffeine levels, up to I think 400mg in a drink. I just got the 200mg coffee. Don't know if I just built a tolerance but I fell asleep right after. We did want a pastry but with the baked goods cabinet empty, we weren't sure what they had left to offer. There was a long sign listing everything sold out between the pastries and coffee flavors. Overall the experience was odd and left a slightly bitter emotional taste in my mouth. They've acknowledged that they weren't in the best condition at that point and I do feel unfair to judge them at their worst. If they turn it around, I'm opening to revisiting. But for now, I don't feel compelled to go out of my way for it.
