I google the closest place for a tow to come out and just change my flat, he threw my flat in rear ontop of my personal things, refused to install it wear he to out the spare from.underneath.. I called the shop and I had to go drive find it,so a mechanic can come out and finished the job I called and requested roadside service. Disappointing...my car window didn't work, a regulator was needed. Ok fine. So I agreed to have Rob fix it, which I thought he did. It wasn't fixed correctly so I returned, he said it needed to be adjusted. Ok so when can it be done correctly, call me to set an appointment. He dodged my calls and then had his employee tell me I broke it and he wasn't honoring his work....the employee suggested I come and speak to him directly, I did try but when I arrived every thing was closed...who needs the stress. So I would NEVER have this mechanic touch my car again, or recommend him to anyone...obviously he is does NOT know how to properly fix a window...which for a mechanic I would think is basic. read more

AAA used R&D to tow my car. The roadside assistance gentleman was extremely nice, but mistakenly delivered my car to the dealership instead of the service center. I specifically gave correct address information to the AAA agent, as well as reconfirmed with the driver who said he knew exactly where to go. When I called R&D the next morning to find out where my car was delivered, the rude man who answered the phone assured me that he's in business a long time and his drivers went to the correct location. He insisted that the folks at the service center were not looking hard enough for my car. He said he would text the driver for information, but never bothered to call me back. I spent over an hour on the phone with a AAA agent who helped. R&D not professional at all. read more

I am surprised to read all of the positive Google reviews of R & D Auto Services. Perhaps my experience is an anomaly, or only AAA customers are treated to shoddy service. I had a simple tire change that needed to be completed on my Range Rover Sport (using the full-sized spare tire). Apparently, the car picked up a nail because the tire was completely flat. The estimated time of arrival for the repair was 10-15 minutes after I placed the call, likely because the shop is only 2.0 miles from my home. Unfortunately, I had to leave my home (leaving my nanny with the keys) to pick up my daughter from classes nearby. I received a phone call asking if the service provider had arrived and if the work had been completed in a satisfactory manner. I let the call center know that the driver had not arrived when I left, but she got him on the phone and assured me that he was at my home and the tire was being changed. I told her that I would be home in five minutes, and I raced home in an attempt to tip the driver. When I arrived, not only had the driver left without ever having me (or my nanny) sign off on the tire change, but he also DUMPED the damaged tire into the trunk of my car on top of a valuable painting, destroying the value of the painting in the process. There were any number of alternatives to this option, the most considerate of which would have been to move the painting and place the damaged tire back in the spare tire space without damaging the painting, but the simplest of which would have been to move the painting (which weighs less than a pound) into the back seat of the car (or ask my nanny to come take it). I am EXCEEDINGLY disappointed in the service provided by R & D, and have asked AAA to never use them again for a service call on my account. UPDATE: If the owner of this company believes that the service provider went above and beyond, I would hate to see the result of average service. Yes, my AAA membership requires that I be present with the vehicle at the time of repair, and if the repair center wanted to adhere to that requirement (after arriving late for the estimate), then he should have left without completing the work, or waited for me to return (I was gone for a total of less than 20 minutes. I waited longer than that for the service provider). The service provider has now apparently LIED to AAA and stated that there was nothing in the trunk of the car when he tossed the damaged tire into the trunk. Again... this service is not above and beyond. Despite the fact that I specifically requested that this service provider never be used for a service call on my account again, they were indeed utilized for a call on Saturday, June 30th that I placed at 6:15AM. Despite being provided with an initial estimate of 7:15AM, I continually received updated estimates and no service arrival until 8:40AM. I was, in fact, with that vehicle when the tire was changed. I will be canceling my AAA membership as well, since customer service has completely fallen off. read more
