In less than an hour I received a return call from a very nice lady who told me the service can be done the next day, Monday June 2nd. On the day of service I received a call from Jeff stating he will be at my home in 20 minutes. When Jeff arrived, he immediately got busy by putting on shoe covers. He also had his equipment and a tarp. He went downstairs and began working on my fireplace and within minutes he diagnosed the problem and in about an hour's time the fireplace was up and running beautifully. Since we have a main floor fireplace that was installed in 2003, I asked Jeff if he had the time to service that one as well and he cordially agreed to service it. Both fireplaces are running as good as new and when Jeff left, you wouldn't even know he was there... except for two well-functioning fireplaces. Jeff is a GOLD STAR gas fireplace technician and giving him a five star rating is a disservice... he rates a 10 in my book. Jeff's price is very fair and his work is beyond EXCELLENT. If your gas fireplace needs service and/or repair... CT Gas Fireplace is THE only call you need to make. You will not be disappointed. Thank you, Jeff, for your service and professionalism.

I had an issue with two of my fireplaces, and had tried to find someone to come and repair it. TWO other "experts" came and could not solve my fireplace problems (gas was leaking and one fireplace wasn't turning on and off properly). When Jeff arrived, he immediately diagnosed both problems and completely fixed everything. It's hard to find a good fireplace person who really knows the ins and outs of all the different models and knows how to troubleshoot problems, so I am so grateful for CT Gas Fireplace!

The oven does not reach the temperature it is set at and can vary by over 100° at times! There is no option to calibrate it. They sent a tech to replace a part and it didn't fix it. I was told, sorry, there are no other repairs possible. They've been giving me a runaround for months and I haven't been able to use the oven at all. It's brand new and under warranty but they won't replace it or take it back. Unbelievable. Stay away from CAFD and Frigidaire. Terrible customer service and the warranty is worthless.

We've called numerous times, been put on long holds, hung up on and two crews came out bringing the wrong items. We have been calling your office every week, with no response and no timeline when our fireplace will be finished in our bedroom. This has been a reoccurring story with each fireplace (we purchased a gas fireplace and two electric fireplaces)--we pretty much had to come IN PERSON to get our main floor fireplaces installed with the proper materials. This is unacceptable. Since calling your customer service team and being disconnected last week, our cats have crawled into the open fireplace in our bedroom, and the pebbles have spilled all over our floor. I am submitting a better business bureau complaint, and complaining on yelp and other social media channels. I can't believe this is how you conduct business with your customers.

Back in 2014, (and I realize that seems a bit outdated, because personnel and management and so…read moreforth, can change).... we visited deans and picked out a standalone woodstove. We set up a date for them to come out and install it and they came out on that date and did the install. They did a fine job. Fast forward to 2016 and I'm living in a new home and the decision was made to buy a woodstove from deans. This particular model although similar in some construction respects, doesn't stand in the middle of the room but rather is recessed partly inside the existing fireplace. Therefore because of that type of set up it has a blower on the bottom. The unit works well, although I miss a standalone stove, because the radiant heat is more efficient and aggressive and no blower is needed to assist the heat flow. Anyway, with regard to deans itself, the 2014 install was done on time and done well. The 2016 install was done on time and done well but I'm having a problem now with service. They don't seem to follow up as efficiently as I would've liked and here I am on the morning of the day that they're supposed to be coming out to do a cleaning and I still haven't heard from them confirming that they are in fact coming and approximately what time of day they're going to arrive. That means that I'm pretty much forced to blow off the day. It's a good thing that I'm retired and not losing money for the day that I'm taking, but I don't like the idea of having to blow off my whole day because I haven't heard from somebody. You can go to any one of their locations and see a lot of really neat stoves, and as long as you plan sufficiently far ahead, you'll probably get it done when you're supposed to, but watch out for a little things like those floor plates that are supposed to protect your house... The one that we initially bought in 2014 was warped and had to be replaced before it was ever final installed. Also be aware that later on you may discover that you cannot get service to respond to you as quickly and as efficiently as perhaps they should

I guess it's up to you whether or not you do business with them if you do good luck.

When the technician came out, he immediately began his inspection, which did not seem to involve. However, red flags immediately went up when he told me he needed to go outside to call his boss because he found problems with the chimney. Granted, this house was built in 1978 so our expectation was that it probably needed some minor work done. When the technician came back, he was very hard to understand due to his European accent, but what he told me was that my chimney was the worst he's ever seen and then proceeded to give me a quote for the repairs needed. The quote was for over $4000 and included things that the technician said needed to be done they did not even provide the cleaning only the inspection which was mediocre at best. Due to the red flags and concerns that I saw I told I was going to reach out for a second opinion. The technician even said that if I he me a better discount which immediately set off alarm bells in my mind. Flash forward to yesterday I had a local, well-known chimney, mason, inspect and clean the chimney. He stated to me that the chimney looked completely normal for a house being built in the late 70s and it did need some minor work done. He provided me with a quote to re-mortar the fire box Which came to a total of $500. This chimney mason said that Almost all of the services that New England chimney solution said I needed were in fact untrue. This company uses the classic scare tactic scam. When they do their inspection, they will tell you you have far more issues than you actually do. This is a classic tactic in order to get unknowing customers to pay more for services that they do not need. Furthermore, it took more than three calls to the company for them to send me an actual inspection report with photos. The company is so unorganized that they actually sent another customers inspection report before sending mine. Stay away for your own sake!

This should not occur if the chimney had been properly cleaned. The company quoted high rates for the service.
