Really enjoyed our brunch on the patio. The biscuits and gravy, huevos rancheros, and shrimp n grits were excellent. The staff were very attentive. We will make a reservation next time. Lovely time.

Was aware of the opening of this new cafe in town and finally got around to eating here. My daughter and I wanted to try it out for our pre-Mother's Day brunch/lunch. When we walked in, we were asked if we had made a reservation (we had not); however, a table in the front section became available almost immediately and we were seated within five minutes. We would have sat in the patio area, but it was raining a bit, so all of the patrons were inside. Our waiter was awesome! We started off with sharing the petal pastries - melt in your mouth good! My daughter was feeling more "lunchy", so she ordered the chicken salad sandwich with chips (along with her drink, lol). I ordered the shrimp and grits, which were delicious! My daughter really enjoyed her sandwich as well. The service and the food were great. All of the mothers were given a specially signed Mother's Day card, which I thought was super sweet. I also appreciate being asked (by the owner or the manager??) if everything was ok/if we were enjoying our food - and we were! :o) I do plan to return but will make sure I am seated in another area if we sit inside. Having a table up front with everyone walking by was not a great fit for me. Plus, there was a large group waiting to be seated and it was a bit crowded in the area for a time. While dining, some of the smoke from the delicious food that was being prepared caused my eyes to burn just a tad bit. The front area is not very spacious and appeared to be a bit tighter with having someone stand in front of the cooking area to grab the orders to pass on to the waiters; as a side note, it may be a good idea to have on gloves for this part. In any case, we certainly plan to return and have spread the word about the food and the service. Looking forward to trying other items on the menu!

Amazing place for breakfast/brunch. I tried making a reservation online but encountered an issue so called them. They were very helpful and took our reservation over the phone. We arrived the next day for our reservation and were seated promptly. We chose to sit inside but they do have very nice patio seating as well. Everything we ordered was so good. The consensus is they have the best cheesy grits in town so make sure to order them. Excellent specialty coffee and drink options and wonderful menu. Portions are the perfect size. Service was immaculate and I would not hesitate to return.

I had the shrimp and grits and my husband had the huevos rancheros. Food was AMAZING. Try to get a seat on the quaint back patio, weather permitting. The service was outstanding too at every touch.

Nice patio, pleasant atmosphere, excellent service by Dennis and the food was good with reasonable prices. Great place to go.

Great place! Coffee was delicious, recommend the ube cake batter and cookie butter! The blueberry muffins were hands down the best I've had! Definitely recommend making a reservation rather than putting your name on the waitlist. Waited an hour to be seated but the service was quick.

Though you cannot enjoy a cigar inside they have a nice covered area outside the lounge. Spirit availability was impressive for the size lounge. I was interested in Redbreast Irish Whiskey and they had 12, 15, and wow 21!!! The lounge inside was what I consider small, bar seating, and some table and comfortable chairs. The outside area was covered. Comfortable chairs with tables and ashtrays to handle about 25+/-. Two TV's. There are standing fans and heaters. There was no service to the outside area, so you picked-up your choice of spirit and got comfortable outside. We enjoyed our spirit and cigars with no one complaining about the smoke. It happened to be a very rainy night and the north area was a bit flooded, but no leaks from above. Pro Great selection of spirits. Cigar and I think cigarettes, evidence by butts in the ashtrays, are allowed outside. The inside lounge was very clean, as well as the two unisex bathrooms. Con The flooded area was unfortunate, but there was only three of us, and it didn't cause an issue. The Ashtrays had been mostly emptied, but not wiped down. Really not inviting to rest your cigar on a dirty ashtray. An easy wipe with a microfiber goes a long way. Not really a Con, but there was no Service outside on the Tuesday night we visited. Overall a nice experience for a dreary night. My friends and I will return, hopefully on a nicer evening. Note: If you don't bring your own cigar, the liquor store has a small selection available right next door.

**Review: Solid Steak Dinner at The Edison**…read more I had a pleasant dinner at The Edison recently and walked away satisfied, especially with the food. Service was just okay--nothing terrible, but the appetizers definitely took longer than expected to come out. That said, our server was genuinely good: friendly, knowledgeable, and checked on us at the right moments without being overbearing. The appetizers were worth the wait. Both the fried green tomatoes and the crab appetizer were excellent--fresh, flavorful, and nicely executed. For the main course, the steak was spot-on: tender, well-seasoned, and cooked exactly as ordered. The potatoes that came with it were also really good--creamy and tasty without being heavy. We ended the meal with the bread pudding, and it was one of the best parts of the night. It was done perfectly: warm, moist, and full of rich, comforting flavor that didn't feel overly sweet. All in all, The Edison delivers on the food front. If you're after a reliable steak with some standout starters and a strong dessert, it's a solid choice. Ambiance was good, love the historic building. I'll definitely be back for the steak and bread pudding. Recommended!

Stylish spot with quality food and drinks!!!!!!!!…read more The Edison offers a pleasant dining experience with a modern, inviting atmosphere. The food was well-prepared and flavorful, with a menu that balances classic favorites and creative options. Portions were satisfying, and presentation was thoughtful. The space has a lively yet comfortable vibe, making it a great place for both casual meals and social outings. Service was friendly and attentive, though it slowed a little during peak times. Overall, The Edison is a solid choice for good food, drinks, and ambiance. With slightly faster service during busy hours, it could easily earn a full five stars

I had recently heard that this place is a Michelin notable and now I know why. Don't be fooled by the nondescript, gray exterior, the inside is adorable and cozy. Valet is complementary which is a nice touch. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Service is incredibly quick from the time you order to when you receive your meal. Food was absolutely delicious. Hubby and I ordered a few appetizers as well as the chefs tasting menu and it did not disappoint. The appetizers we chose were the charred octopus and the fire roasted oysters. Both were wonderful but the octopus was a standout. For the tasting menu, it changes daily and is 4 courses with a dessert course to round out the meal. Ours happened to include: Sausage w olive tapenade, Filet w tomato and veggie chow chow (so tasty), Duck tostada w avocado crema, Elk filet w hasselback potatoes and asparagus (show stopper), and Orange rice pudding w pistachio cookie crumble which was such a nice, light way to end the meal. One thing to note: they automatically add 18% gratuity to your bill which is split between all front of house and back of house staff. Anything you leave above this will go directly to your waiter. There is a card they leave when they drop off the bill that explains this more eloquently than I am but I found it to be unique that they openly discuss it instead of adding it to the bill with no notice or explanation.

There was no distinct flavor profile... it literally just tasted like sour mix. Wouldn't get that again; however, this is going into one of my favorite restaurants on the east coast !

As I looked out the window while gathering my belongings at the end of class, I discovered The Bar at Betton. I noticed nicely dressed individuals looking like they were enjoying some cocktails, wine and brews with their pals. I immediately texted my gfs and told them that we must try it out for our next girls night out. With that said, the following Saturday evening, we did! The parking was easy to handle. As we approached The Bar at Betton, I noticed indoor and outdoor seating areas, high tops, etc. The music was lightly playing in the background while sounds of conservation between friends were heard. A great gathering spot! I liked it so far. We walked in the doors, looked for a spot at the bar to sit (to the left) and was greeted immediately, WaY to GO Bar Staff! We ordered a few drinks - I tried a specialty cocktail named, "Champs-Elyssee" - it was a great ! Then, we talked with the bartender a bit and went about enjoying our girls night out. I snapped a photo of the menu because each dish that was served to other customers looked really good. Moistened my palate and smelt good too! Before leaving, we visited the restrooms which are located outside of the building. I thought that was neat too. Clean and stocked. Always a good thing! Anywho - I am glad I got to try The Bar at Betton out. I will be back and can't wait to try out the food sometime.
