I rarely leave negative reviews, especially for local small businesses, but this experience warrants one. Our HVAC system was serviced by this company for a routine maintenance check-up, and shortly afterwards we discovered damage that was not present before the visit. It was found that the technician either urinated or poured urine down our condensation drain of the air handler located in our attic. What is especially concerning is that the employee involved denied responsibility when questioned by law enforcement. Regardless of those denials, the timing, circumstances, and condition of the unit found by a third-party HVAC contractor, who stated it was 100% urine, confirms clear damage/vandalism to our system. We made a good-faith effort to address this matter directly with the owner before sharing and he only stated, "we do not do this" and that he would look into the matter. No further communications has been received from the owner/company even after a follow-up request. Based on our experience, we no longer have confidence in this company and will not be using its services in the future. I encourage all prospective customers/customers to document the condition of their equipment before and after any service appointment and to carefully consider how important company accountability is when choosing a contractor -- especially with this company. read more

A $12,000 mistake for using this company. For the last few years our older HVAC system was checked and maintained by one of their techs. We were pleased with his professionalism, he always explained the issue, the future ramifications, and options. When our system got old, we decided to use that same company to buy and install a new unit. That's where it went wrong. The company no longer sent the tech with whom we had become confident and comfortable. Now, this retired couple may live the next 15-20 years regretting our mistake, or we won't live that long to regret. I had expressed over and over that when we had a new system, I wanted the filter access to be in a manner I didn't need to be Houdini to get to. The original tech "got that". The more recent rep apparently didn't care. Now we have a new system, and I have to get down under the house, put on protective knee pads, crawl back to the system, lay down on the on my side while positioning to reach up to check the filters. And of course, then crawl backwards to get out, or to get tools or parts I may discover I may need for maintenance. Getting to the old system was a bit difficult as I had gotten older. I called upon R&R for two full HVAC installations in my house. Pricing was comparable to others in the area. They came, double checked and explained everything they would be doing and and what all our options were. They have shown amazing customer service. To begin I changed my mind of where I wanted the units after they had been working for a couple of hours and Ryan the owner gladly accommodated me with out any hassle or guilt trip even though it set them back a bit. The guys took a bit longer than originally estimated but it was a big job and since it was mid summer they made sure to get our bedroom AC unit working first before continuing with the other unit or duct work. I really appreciated that. The area they were working in was being remodeled but they left every area cleaner than when they began. Ryan came to personally inspect once all was done. We called them a couple of months later when the thermostat stopped working and they came right away and fixed it within hours of our call. They just came to do the six month service. Everyone who has come into my home from their staff has been curtious, friendly, respectful and conscientious about keeping it clean. Completely Recommend this company. read more

I called them because I needed someone to replace some damaged ductwork and wire in a thermostat. He was polite on the phone and said he would do it for me but he would have to call me back to take a look at it tomorrow. That was over two weeks ago. He never showed, never called back. Guess my job wouldn't make him enough money to make it worth it. read more

A few weeks ago our air conditioner started having problems. I noticed that it wasn't cooling the house like it should and an outside pipe was freezing up. I saw the great reviews on the R&R Facebook page and decided I would try them out. That turned out to be a $260.00 mistake. A technician was sent out and he spent just a few minutes looking over the unit, recharged it with freon, and said it may have just been a slow leak and to call back if we had any other problems. There was no mention of doing an actual leak test. The house stayed cool for two days, but then the unit had the same problem again just 48 hours later. On May 1st I called and left a message for the owner that we were having problems again and to please call me back. That was well over a week ago and I haven't heard a thing from him. I feel like R&R didn't really try to solve the problem with our unit, but rather just wanted to make a quick buck off the service call and freon recharge. In addition to this, the tech said a capacitor was bad and wanted to install a new one for $80. I went to a parts store and bought a new capacitor myself for less than $8.00. The guy there also tested the old one and said there was nothing wrong with it. I contacted another company and wish I had just called them in the first place. It would have saved me $260.00. I feel like I threw that money into the wind. I would not recommend R&R Heating and Air. read more
