Had one of the owners come to our property while Our pool was being replastered. He checked everything out and we had a great conversation. He assured me that they can service my pool and do the startup. I stayed in touch with all of them through the plastering phase to keep them updated on when to come out. They assured me multiple times all was well and they would be ready to go. All the other pool companies I turned away after we agreed on price. On the day of startup, they came out and he spent a ton of time on the phone in the front of my house. No update from him, he left and I get a random text that my house is out of their service area. I told them that makes no sense as we have been in touch for a few weeks and I was assured all was good. They opted to not take my pool on and told me to contact someone else. They said they wouldn't charge me for the visit like they did me a solid..i just don't get it. All I asked was for transparency and not leave me in a position to call back the other pool companies and ask for a quote. I said, since you made a mistake and it's out of your service area, can you just finish the start up you promised me and I'll find another company to do the maintenance. They said no. After a pool is replastered, it's a crucial time to ensure everything is moving in the start up phase and they almost screwed me over. It's an expensive project to replaster and none of that was taken into account on their behalf. I'm very disappointed in how this company handled my service. read more

I hired Rex to start up a completely remodel pool with a quartzscape finish. I have to emphasize in no way shape or form should anyone use R&R for this service. He charged me $550 time to come 3 times over the course of 8 days, spending less than 2 hours at my house total. How do I know, I work from home and saw him every time. He never once vacuumed the spa, and only the first day did he do a thorough brushing with the vacuum brush. Unfortunately for me, after I hired him did I learned about recommended procedures from the National Plasters Council, and he followed exactly 0 steps. Alkalinity is high (180-200 ppm) and he added a little Acid but only to get the pH at the correct level never to neutralize the alkalinity, and then rise the pH back up with sodium ash (baking soda). Also total hardness is way off the charts. That is pretty hard to deal with without using flocculant and I am no sure if you can use that the first month, it does require manual vacuuming after use. He also never diluted any chemicals as recommended to avoid any issues with streaking especially in the first days of new plaster! In fact he confirmed with me he has never even heard of the NPC I beg you please don't use him really for anything. He complained about my vacuum (kreepy crawly), complained about my salt system (Compuplool) so much so saying he wouldn't maintain it in the monthly service. I did not hire him for monthly service. Rex informed me that we did not have to spend on a whole new pump but instead replace the motor at a fraction of what I had been quoted by others. Rex and his boys Eddy, Adrian replaced the motor and cleaned my pool that hadn't been serviced since my pump was down. These gentlemen work fast and efficient. The pool pump quit working... and after several weeks, turned into a pond-like scene. Frogs decided to move in... so we got on Yelp for help and R&R Pool Services responded pronto quick. That same day they came out, gave an estimate, and started draining the pool. Over the course of only two days, they were able to acid wash the pool... get rid of stains, get the pool and hot tub refilled with water that is sparkling clean (not to mention installing a new pool pump and replumbed the entire pool pump area for much better pressure for the overall system. This business is run by a good-natured father and his two sons. They work well with each other and quickly take care of the problems. When I received the final bill, they were slightly over the estimate but well within reason.
