This is the Chik-fil-a of pool services! I can't rave enough about this family-owned and operated business. They are punctual, reliable, hard working, and have great customer service skills. They are transparent about their services and prices and never tried to push an unnecessary service onto us. They are very knowledgeable and passionate about this line of work. We had rust spots in the plaster and they were able to explain in full detail the causes to the problem and how to solve it. Plus they were able to thoroughly explain how to work the new water heater we had them install. Prior to starting their service, they drove to multiple stores trying to find the right product for our pool, making sure we were getting exactly what we were looking for. Rocky and Camille were so sweet to me and my family. If it wouldn't have been for their schedule I would have probably invited them for dinner. I was really impressed by their hard work, especially during the whole sand-blasting process, and yet they always had a smile on their faces. My pool pump lost suction unexpectedly on a Saturday morning so I called my regular pool repair guy to come over and see what's wrong. Since Saturday is the busiest day of the week for most pool guys, my regular guy was unable to return my call immediately so I began reaching out to new prospective contractors who can address it ASAP. Out of the 3 contractors that I reached out to, Zim was the only one who was able to squeeze me in to his hectic schedule the soonest while also providing a reasonable diagnostic fee that could go towards the repair cost if he performs the repair. He came over and diagnosed that there were hairline fractures that developed over time on the old PVC plumbing that my regular pool guy did for me several years ago. Air was leaking out of those cracks causing my pump to lose suction power. He alleviated the issue temporarily by plugging the cracks to restore suction power for the day and scheduled another day to come back out for the actual repair work of replacing the fractured PVC pipes, as well as the cheap valves that are no longer functioning well. His total job estimate was reasonable and he seems to be a trustworthy guy so I went with him instead. He replaced the old PVC pipes with a much better CPVC pipes so it last longer and can better handle the elements of outdoor that the previous pipes failed to do. He also replaced the cheap valves with Never Lube Jandy valves that now allows me to better control the suction and return of my pump. The placement and direction of where the pipes go were well-thought-out so now I get more clearance to program/operate my pump than I did before without losing suction power. I highly recommend Zim for refusing to use cheap materials even though he can. He could have just used inferior materials (like my pool guy did) to increase his profit margin because most customers like me are clueless anyway. He instead values quality work and customer's satisfaction over earning a quick buck which makes him a very wise businessman. For that reason, I'm going to call Zim from now on for my future pool repair needs and will refer him to my families and friends who also own pool and face the same challenges of maintaining their pool equipment. read more

He had to re-route all the wiring and the pipes for the pool system, and did it very well. He procured and installed a new heater and it works great. Turns out our pump was broken and all the repairs other people kept trying to charge us for weren't fixing anything because the pump was the problem. I used Zim's pool services for about two years and finally decided to take care of the pool by myself. He replaced a pump and a filter and I think he did okay. But when it comes to weekly services he is very unpredictable. You never know when he is going to show up. Often strangers showed up for pool cleaning and claimed to be his cousin or friends. But Out of the many years going to Leslies I have been getting mostly bad advice. I've been losing pressure in my pool. I've been having some issues with my pool equipment and couldn't really figure it Out on my own. I finally went to yelp and called the top two companies that popped up. I left a message on one and got no response. The other number Zim picked up the phone and rt away ofFered to come by the same day to take a look at the pool. Zim was very knowledgeable and professional. I don't normally write reviews but Zim definitely deserves one. First off Zim is the owner and the number is his personal cell phone. I really appreciated the fact that he genuinely wanted to help me and not just make a sale. I say that because I told him my situation rt away and due to budget I was going to try and service my pool by myself. Not only did he continue to help me but he offered to give me any tips to help me be successful. Showed me what products I would need to buy mind you he directed me to purchase them online cause it would be cheaper still not trying to make a sale. Zim spent a foot 20-30 mins at my house and never asked for a single cent. HE even offered to come back if I needed more assistance. Very disappointed in their service. Have been with them for over a year and service was great in the beginning. However lately, service is not being done on time as scheduled. Tuesdays was our service days. Then they weren't showing up until Wednesdays and it is now Thursday and no service has been done for this week. Sometimes service is not done weekly. Maybe 3 times a month, but still paying for the full month. I know when service is not done or delayed for the week because we have security cameras in our backyard. Prices went up and I wasn't notified of the increase. Will find someone else who will show up on time and notify me if they will not be showing up on my scheduled day. read more

Zim came and inspected a pool for me at a house I was in the process of buying. Now that I am in the house, I am finding out that the pool has way more issues than what Zim inspected. He didn't point out anything beyond obvious visual failures. The filter is dripping from the bottom which I saw and is why hired I hired him but come to find out it has multiple issues... the backwash valve is stuck, the backwash drain is too high and might not even work. We contacted 2 other pool guys and they immediately pointed out how bad this filter is and how common it is for the backwash not to work and/or get stuck. They both recommended to replace the filter right away. Also he didn't test the water when he was here. When we had the water tested it turns out that it is so acidic and it is not safe to swim in due to risk of blindness and/or hair loss. I am a first time pool owner which is why I wanted to have it inspected before moving in. After talking to multiple pool guys I am disappointed in the service I received from Zim's Pool Service. read more

Contacted this company through Yelp. Talked about details, thought I was taking to Zim, until the person messaging from the account as Zim said he was Bes, Zim's brother and that he would start the next week. Ok, no big deal, same company. Then when I get the first bill it is from "Bill"? I had no idea who "Bill" was. I called Bes who I thought was the one servicing my pool and he says that actually a third brother named Bill is the one servicing my pool. Their dad has a pool business, and he got each of the kids started by having them tend a few pools, but Zim's Yelp account is the one that took off, so that's the account they use. Ok... strange and it should have communicated that I was not getting ZI'm, not Bes who I thought I was getting, now it's Bill. We weren't overly impressed with the service, there was always stuff in the pool even the same day of service. We were wondering if anyone was actually coming for a couple weeks. We asked about it, and was told that Bill's truck broke down and he was going to try to get someone else over to our place that day. Bill left the skimmer basket out of our pool a couple weeks in a row. We thought maybe he forgot. Then someone told us that we needed to raise our water level or we would damage the pump. Bill must have been trying to help by turning the pump off and leaving the skimmer our- but why wouldn't you tell us to add more water? This is our first pool and we just moved in this year- we didn't know. Very strange to just not communicate that info to us. Well week three we filled the pool with more water. I came home and found a chunk of our pool safety fence removed, skimmer open. mind you we have a perfectly good gate for this fence, but it's not near the pump and skimmer.... I guess he didn't want to take the time to walk around so he just took a chunk of the fence out. I would have been mad about the laziness factor of that and disregard for my fence regardless, but to leave the chunk out and open is insane. I have the fence for a reason- I have A toddler and small dogs! They could have drowned! We immediately messaged Bill and told him we didn't want his services anymore. He said he was sorry and that an emergency came up at a different pool- don't know what pool emergency doesn't give you a minute to put the pool safety fence back, but if that is a thing that is why you USE THE GATE! It's self closing. We were paid through the end of April, and this happened April 27th. After our exchange my husband was sent an invoice for 1/2 of May's service?! Not sure what that is about. Seems like Zim is well liked, but if his other family members are going to cover part of his business, they seem to need a lot more training time, and maturity. Revising my review. After posting my very unhappy review, I received a call from Zim himself and he was embarrassed and upset. He was personally committed to come and rectify the situation. After some discussions, some things may have been happening behind his back he was not aware of and I admitted I was wrong about Brad not purchasing a new part, as I found all the packaging and instructions. He showed up today and remained here for 4hours until he diagnosed what was going on with the equipment. As it turns out 30.00 worth of ORings across multiple parts were responsible for the issue. (in conjunction with the heater valve). MY POOL IS WORKING PERFECTLY!!! He didn't request any compensation, but I felt the need to give him a little something to cover his expenses. Pleasantly surprised to find a business owner who is completely committed to customer service and fixing your pool issues. I highly recommend Zim. He's my go-to guy! read more
