I got the worst hair cut I ever got at this place. The first time I went they hardly cut my hair. It was just a trim so I came there to get it fixed and the new girl cut it too short.. It wouldn't be a bad if she cut it short in the front, but she cut it really short in the back, and left the front long. I asked for it to be layered and she didn't do that .. She cut the sides very uneven, and cut in short in the back bottom of my hair so I ended up with a horse shoe shape in the back. Now because my hair was cut short I couldn't get it fixed. I had to put up with this agonizing horrible hair cut for 6 months, and do you think I will go back to them? Hell no!! I think they hire people that are so young they don't have any experience and this is so they don't have to pay them much. read more

Note to begin that they only take cash for tips!! Friendly staff otherwise but i panicked and had the stylist stop cutting my hair since they cut it about 6 inches shorter than i asked for. Had to go make an appointment elsewhere to correct the cut three weeks later. I did call the salon and speak to someone and made an appt with the owner, Scott. He had no idea what had been done to my hair and when he saw that 3-4 inches more were cut than should have been, he was very apologetic. We both knew it wasn't growing back but he did fix what he could that was wrong with it still and it did look better than it had. He also gave me my money back and sent me home with some products. Get your hair done with Kristen! She is absolutely amazing! She doesn't rush her appointments and really listens to what I want to have done and follows through perfectly. She goes the extra mile and makes sure you are 100% satisfied with your hair before leaving. It's hard to find a stylist these days that will be able to execute what you have in mind, but not with Kristen! I wish I could give her more stars! Today was my first experience with R.Collective. and I will most definitely return! My stylist was Cheyenne (who is just an absolute doll). Where to start first? 1. Beautiful salon, great energy, professional but not stiff. 2. Cheyenne listened and looked at all my ideas thoughtfully and carefully. 3. PERFECT execution of highlights and cut and style (I just spent the last 45 minutes staring at them, honestly. She also recommended products and tips to achieve the looks I want going forward. I've spent that last two years growing out my hair after a year of treatment for breast cancer. After losing my hair and trying a lot of things/stylists... I have been to this salon twice, both times just for a trim, and I've had 2 different stylists. The first time, I had a pleasant experience, the stylist was friendly, talkative, and I was satisfied with the cut. I went back yesterday and had the worst salon experience of my life. Similar to the first time, I asked for a trim and the cut was fine, that wasn't the issue. The issue was the way I was treated. The stylist asked me what I wanted done and then told me my hair "looked bad". She continued for probably another 3-5 minutes essentially explaining how crappy my hair was, and that I must use a lot of heat on it regularly. I agree my hair didn't look good, but it's something I've been insecure about most of my life. I have a condition which contributes to me having thinner hair that is prone to breakage. It would have been different if she was at least nice and worded things kinder, but I felt like she was rude in her approach. There was another customer sitting in the chair next to me just staring as she was going on about my "bad" hair. I was mortified. She did not say anything else to me the entire appointment so I just sat in her chair trying to hold back tears. I was dying to leave and as soon as I did, I couldn't stop crying. I haven't been able to stop thinking about this experience since I left yesterday. I will never go back to this salon because honestly nobody should feel bullied, let alone when paying for a service. I hope this stylist reflects on the way she speaks to people and moving forward works on her tone and the way she words things. I'm sure there are plenty of great, friendlier stylists here, but I will never be going back to find out. read more

I've left a positive review for this salon before and I feel compelled to leave another one. I saw a new stylist named Holly because I just couldn't find a date that the other stylist I saw there was available. When I searched for reviews I noticed a very negative review for a stylist named Holly which almost made me cancel. That would have been a huge mistake! Holly was so kind and professional. When I explained I wanted low lights she pulled up pictures to make sure she was interpreting what I wanted correctly. She took time to listen and made great recommendations regarding the sprinkle of gray hair i have. My color turned out beautiful and she did a wonderful job on my cut. Just felt like Holly needed a redemption story because the negative review I read was the complete opposite of what I experienced and if I had listened would have cost me a killer cut/color. read more
