Line out the door we got seated within 5 minutes and our drinks followed. Our waitress got our orders quick. Got the stuffed green pepper soup and it was amazing!! Amazing food! The flavors are there! The pickles are the homemade dill taste, with dill in the batter too. The mushrooms were huge and fresh, so good! The best homemade ranch and tartar sauce. The turkey was moist and fell apart, all the flavors are there. The perch is AMAZING! Hands down the BEST fish I've had in forever and when I said fried hard, they did just that. The mashed potatoes and gravy were good, only downside is not enough for both dinners in my opinion, I put it on my stuffing as well. The stuffing I honestly didn't care for it's more mush, needs more texture and veggies. The coleslaw is very good as well, reminds me of my favorite up north. The inside is like a normal Coney Island tables and booths, very clean. The service was amazing all the girls were very friendly and tentative. Very good diner, great for bringing family in the morning, they have a large booth. When I went they were super packed but we got are food about 7-10 minutes after they asked for our orders!! Watch out they charge $1.50 if you use your credit card. There are no signs stating this except a tiny one at the checkout. It shows up as a convenient charge on your credit receipt. If I had used my credit card that would amount to a 20% markup. The restaurant should post this on the Menu. read more

I got the Quesadilla with scrambled egg and veggies - quite good, more than satisfying. Co - diner got - and enjoyed - the turkey sandwich. He pronounced it to be "a good, solid sandwich." Friendly and efficient service added to the positive experience. All in all, would recommend R Diner to anyone visiting the area. We stopped here for the first time on a Saturday morning. The restaurant has an appealing exterior, has ample parking and is nicely landscaped. The seating area was nearly full, but the hostess greeted us and seated us quickly. The waitress appeared , our drink orders were taken, and we scanned the menu. Our drinks appeared, orders were taken by the pleasant server. We all ordered 'specials' which proved to be an excellent choice of flavor and quantity. I have always enjoyed R diner and never had reason to complain, however recently I placed a delivery order and had the wrong order arrive. I called the restaurant and explained we had someone else's order and a few minutes later the delivery driver arrived with our correct order. The problem is, they took back the food that they gave us initially. We are at home sick and we told him that it was opened. He replied "I've gotta get the right food to the right people". Food should not ever be returned and then given to someone else. That's extremely unsanitary! This makes me concerned about their practices in general now. read more

Found this place on Yelp for breakfast. It did not disappoint! I had Irish Eggs Benedict (corned beef instead of ham) and it was awesome. My son had the southern platter and loved it--a lot of food though. A cup of coffee and a side of toast with that totaled $21.69. Not bad at all.
