Robert was able to measure, and estimate my floor two months prior to the actual work because my kitchen project was taking so long. He knew it was going to take a while and advised me to do it sooner than later to lock in prices due to inventory and inflation issues that could occur. I don't know of any other company in this field that has better service and communication than Abby Carpet. Robert is attentive and is very personable. He let me keep the floor samples for as long as I needed to make a decision on which flooring I wanted. The floor associates at the store were also very knowledgeable and helpful while shopping in store for floor options. The actual floor work was clean and timely. He did a great job making sure not to damage the existing base boards. He actually recaulked them so they look better than it was before. I thank him for that. I will hire them again for any future carpet or flooring needs.

I created a Yelp project, and out of all the quotes we received, Abbey Carpet by Blossom Valley Interiors was the cheapest. I also liked that they came with sample flooring when they came by for the estimate appointment (they were the only ones that did). Coupled with an overall good Yelp rating, we decided to move forward with them. The job was completed quickly and they did a great job. I would recommend this business for any flooring needs.

When it was time to replace our laminate floors and the carpeting on our stairs, hallway, and…read morebedrooms, we compared options at Home Depot and several local carpet stores. A measuring technician came out, took all the dimensions, and directed us to the 1020 W. San Carlos location to review their full carpet selection. At the store, we explained what we were looking for, compared carpet features and pricing, and worked with Dominic--who was very accommodating. His total project cost was competitive with the other quotes we received. We also wanted new baseboards that would match our freshly painted walls and trim. Dominic arranged to have the primed (but unpainted) 16' wood baseboards delivered ahead of installation, giving us time to paint everything before the carpet went in. Tip Our new carpet and pad are very soft and plush--great underfoot, especially on the stairs. Because the new flooring sits higher than the original laminate, our bedroom doors needed to be trimmed by about half an inch. We cut the doors ourselves, but it's worth asking whether your installer can include that as part of the project. Pros * Dominic is a true carpeting professional--he anticipated our needs and offered thoughtful guidance throughout the process. * Both the wood and carpet installation teams did solid, quality work. Cons * Some door trim was scuffed as the installers maneuvered large carpet rolls through our narrow hallway and doorways, so a bit of repainting was needed afterward.

Dominic gives EXCELLENT customer service and depending on your project, great value. He buys short ends from American carpet manufacturers at terrific prices. I needed carpet for 2 bedrooms as the rest of house is hardwood. I got great quality, fully pet stain resistant, carpet for an unexpectedly low price. His team will even move furniture for a LOW price to make it easier on you. The shop on San Carlos isn't much to look at but you'll get awesome help and samples sent to your home. I don't think you can beat this place unless you need continuous carpet for several rooms. Even then, I'd still investigate what Dominic can do for you.

Our experience started with Phillip to replace the existing flooring in our home due to a flood. The initial issue came once we signed the contract and paid the 50% deposit, unexpectedly the flooring we were told we were getting was out of stock and would take weeks to order so we went with a backup option. From there, issues we were told that would not be a problem, such as replacement in the master closet, which we came up with a solution for, to underbidding the work and saying there was more than he/they expected became a constant trend. After the floor was installed, our walls had a fair amount of damage from the demo of the prior floor which we ended up paying the majority of the cost for while FCI chipped in. We had a large bump in the middle of our kitchen that stemmed from incorrect prep work and also a board that had no nails in it which was replaced. We had railing that were bent and incorrectly installed that had to be fixed and eventually were. We had stairs that were cracking at the joints and that needed to be fixed and eventually were. We still to this day, per the photos below, missing stair covers and uneven installation in areas. Also, our stairs creek on three of them which we did not have an issue with before. After this most horrific and lengthy experience with FCI, I would strongly consider other options that might be out there for you and your family.

Besides to the damage (which is well documented, via pictures on Houuz, Google + and yelp), my wife and I wanted to tell story of in lack of customer service, lack of professionalism and verbal accusations. Outside of the lack of customer service, my wife and I came to understanding when (and this was our case) the Carpet Center asks for a deposit/ down payment of +10% is technically illegal (and against California State License Board policy) The CSLB told me directly that is highly UN-professional, not to mention, you generally do not want to engage with companies who conduct such behavior. It typically means that the company (in this case) the Carpet Center does not have enough cash flow to fund current jobs (I wish I had known this) We ended up paying in full and would have regardless, but Aida and Nick Budetti sure know how to take it to their customers. In addition to that... and this is more of the issue, but when Aida and Nick came to inspect the damage the Carpet Center caused, Nick repeatedly (numerous times) decided to imply my wife is a liar (and right in front of her) I completely understand that this my story, but I will remind you that pictures do not lie, so you can see the damage and decide for yourself. I for one, would just like to educate and inform (from our story) so that others do not get hurt by the Carpet Center. If anything, I truly hope someone can be assisted by our story. DO NOT TRUST THE CARPET CENTER.
