On our wedding day, she knew all the best photo spots at our venue and was able to get us a wide variety of photos for our couple's portraits. Myro did a fantastic job getting photos of all our guests during the cocktail hour. We had several guests compliment how friendly he was and how many people he captured. In the background leading up to our wedding day, the True Photography team helped put a photography timeline that aligned with our wedding coordinator's timeline. This helped ensure we got all the photos needed included first looks, couple's portraits, family portraits, etc. No special moment was missed by the team throughout the wedding. Alex was clear on posing directions and had such a calm demeanor/communication style that helped me feel reassured. Sheryl was our second photographer who captured the best candids and fun moments (e.g. one of the groomsmen had his shirt off and I didn't know until we saw the photos! HAHA). Dillan was here, there, and everywhere to get the best angles for our first dance, games, and guest reactions. Looking at our photos, I'm floored with how beautiful they turned out! So please excuse this delayed account of our experience. We found Blessed Wedding Photography through theknot.com. We were looking for a mid-price range, local to wedding location, and packages to include all rights to all digital images and engagement photos. Engagement session - Johanna let us choose the location but she clearly did her homework, as she knew all the right spots for excellent lighting and scenery. At our request, she included our two little kids in the photos, getting them excited about smiling and being silly for the pictures. She was sure to get more intimate shots of just the two of us too. Within a very reasonable amount of time, she provided us with a link to view and download all of our photos. They turned out amazing and I gained so much confidence for our wedding day photos. What a chance to try out a company before the big day! Johanna kept in touch with us leading up to June to gather all of the wedding details and put together a photography itinerary to align with our events. Wedding day - Our wedding was in the morning (early!) and she and her partner Anna were at our hotel at 4:00 AM to take photos of the ladies getting ready. They then split up so that Anna could take photos of the guys and Johanna stayed with the ladies. Having two photographers is a must for some great parallel shots! Anna and Johanna traveled to the San Diego Safari Park and took great photos before, during, and after the ceremony. They stayed through most of the reception too. Johanna even helped to bustle my dress! Anna was attentive and brought the DJ a chair. They offer excellent customer service and attention to detail. Just a couple weeks later, they provided us with a couple of preview photos that we could use for our thank you cards. And within three weeks of the wedding, they provided us with a link to view and download all of our photos. They wanted us to have them before we went on our honeymoon. It was so thoughtful. Included in our package were a wedding photo album and a credit towards upgrading to a fancy album. We chose to not upgrade the album but the standard album does not disappoint. We chose our favorite photos and Johanna carefully arranged them into an album layout. She shared a preview with us before ordering to print. She looked it over and delicately shipped it to us. We love it. Overall, Blessed Wedding Photography makes you feel like a dear friend and you end up wishing you included as one of the bridesmaids instead of behind the camera.

I wanted a video that felt authentic, timeless, and not overly commercial if that makes sense. Magdalena achieved exactly what my partner and I were looking for! She is very communicative and goes above and beyond to understand your needs. My entire bridal party raved about her and her partner Cris! Didn't remind us or inform to take phones/wallets out of pockets so those just look lovely in all our photos **sarcasm**. On our wedding day, the level of professionalism and quality of work was unacceptable: Lack of direction: There was little to no guidance on posing or lighting. The photographer made comments like, 'What was that?' or 'What's that face?' instead of providing constructive direction. Poor Technical Execution: Many family photos feature heavy, unflattering shade cast across faces. Across the entire collection, there is only one usable, direct shot of my husband and me facing the camera. Absenteeism: During the cocktail hour, which we hired the photographer to cover, the photographer was found sitting in the dressing room instead of actively taking candid photos of our guests. I actually had to seek out the photographer to initiate coverage of the event. Frankly, the final delivered collection lacked the quality and professional execution we would expect from a paid vendor. It felt like paying a friend to snap photos, not a professional with an understanding of lighting and composition. A further point of concern: not a single photo from our wedding has ever been featured on the company's website or social media.
