I am so upset bc I've been here before with a Groupon and I came back because I liked the service and the hot stones. First they had me waiting for a long time even though I called to make an appointment beforehand. Once I was getting the pedi it'll and acrylic nails was nice. Until someone else showed up, then there's two people and two workers. They RUSHED my pedi, no scrub, no lotion, no stones, not even the top coat for them to move on. The lady doing my nails filed my actual nail bed twice, the nails are uneven. She didn't even let me go to the bathroom to rinse. She made me stretch to the foot tub to rinse my hands there. It was nice attention to service until other people showed up. I'm not coming back there. It was such an awful feeling seeing how they rushed all of my things to get to their people and in top of that they took about 2.5 hours to finish. read more

I will not EVER come back to this place again! They do the worst nails ever. I walked in at 5 I left at 7. It took her forever to do my nails it's not like I went in for a full set. I got home and took my shower and the polish was already peeling off and I got gel polish. Now three of my nails have to be re-polish. I paid $50. For a having my nails done at this place and they look horrible! The only reason why I came here is the place that I usually go to in West Covina, Diamond Nail didn't have an opening. I went to RA just as they opened. There was not a single person in there and there were (3) people working. I had a broken nail, (just one ) that needed a repair. The owner refused to take me since it was only one nail. Fixing one nail and taking care of a client turns into future business and a positive review. Blowing me off and not being willing to spend 10 minutes to help a potential client when you are free and there isn't a single person in the place, is terrible customer service and clearly the owners are not present to the obvious potential of building future business. Taking care of me today, could have turned into years of future business and referrals. This business is short sighted. read more

I don't understand how this place has 4 star rating. I came in to get acrylics, the lady who approached me offered me to get gel extensions instead. Idk why but I got a vibe from her as if she didn't feel like doing a whole set of acrylics. I've never gotten gel extensions before so I desired to try. During my whole appointment I had to point out obvious mistakes to the lady why was doing my nails. She was very rough with my fingernails and seemed like she was in a rush, she cut my cuticle, it started bleeding, nails were uneven, I had to constantly point out the obvious mistakes, like missing a corner with the polish. At one point I asked her if I could fix it myself with a nail filer but she refused to let me do it. What shocked me the most is when I picked my color and lady said it was too sheer and she'd have to do 3 coats and told me to pick a darker color. Are you serious? This is her job, and my color choice. I told her, that's fine she can do 3 coats. And she was like really? Ok. Like she was annoyed that I chose a sheer color and that she'd have to put another coat of gel which dried in 45 seconds under the UV light. She seemed very unprofessional and straight up lazy. Overall, the outcome turned out very messy and sloppily done, uneven. I have no idea why the lady was in such rush, I was the only one there on a Sunday morning. Had an appointment for 3p, still waiting at 3:45 and there's only one other person here... The two ladies working here have barely acknowledged me other than telling me to sit while they only work on the one other customer. It wasn't until I started to get up that one hurried over to fill the water basin. I work in service and can handle multiple customers at once, so I don't think it's absurd to want better service and not to be ignored for 45 minutes. read more

Came for an acrylic fill in and gel, my nails looked horrible at the end. Definitely not worth what I was charged. I had to tell the lady several times that my left and right hand shape did not look the same and the acrylic was bumpy. Not happy with pedicure and manicure. It was both $22 on groupon, called them and they said do not purchase groupon, they'd honor the $22. My pedicure was hot water only, by the way no soap. she ran a crytal pink soup afterwrds for 1 minute or less. The pedicure was ok. I notice when i got back home just after a day, the pedicure was coming off. its a place i wold never go to agian. I settled for RA nails when all the other salons were busy, packed. My nail technician was very patient and sweet. However, my nails came out terrible. I went for a acrylic fill in. I showed a picture of the shape and design I wanted. Let's just say, my nails are not right. They are bumpy, the shape is inconsistent, and painted over my cuticles. My cuticles were not cut or worked on but I also noticed the tools looked used/old and not sanitized. I also skipped on the design once I saw how they were coming out. In the process I was also cut twice, I understand it happens. It is cash only not sure why other reviews said they accept debit: cause they don't. There's an atm but I had my friend with my cash coming to pick me up. When I was finished and waiting the lady(owner I assume) at the front desk was grilling me as if I was going to run out on them. I wasn't able to go to my usual salon and I found this place on living social. I was able to do a 'walk in' and notified the ladies that I came with a voucher so that they were made aware. I got a manicure and pedicure on the spa chair, overall wasn't bad. They even offered me water but I will note there was only one lady there when I walked in so this review is based off of the time not being busy at all and it was in the middle of the week. The owner is sweet but did push for me to leave a tip even though I had planned on it anyway. I still prefer my salon but this place is alright by my standards :) read more

I walk into the nail salon for my appointment and they refused to do my nails because they had other appointments. I was their first appointment of the day and they refused me service. Don't bother going here if you don't want your time wasted or enjoy being treated like trash because of your ethnicity. I've been coming here infrequently for the past 3 years. I hate sitting and getting my nails done, but sometimes you just have to do it. I walked in with no appt yesterday and stood at the door for probably 3 minutes with no one acknowledging me, so I asked if I should come back. The older lady owner told me to pick my color and sit after one of the technicians recommend I come back, which is fine as I live close by. I picked my color (most of the polish looks old in the bottles) and sat down at the massage chair and waited for probably 15 minutes. The owner lady then brought me a bowl of cold water to put my hands in and started cutting my nails without using sanitized equipment. I asked her to go get sanitized equipment that was in the surgical looking bag. She came back with probably the same utensils that she just threw in a bag. The owner lady then started quickly pulling on my cuticles with her critical remover tool and I asked her at least four times to stop pulling on my cuticles as it gives me hang nails days after a manicure. She then got up and walked away- I had no idea what she was doing & about five minutes later I decided it was best for me to just leave and go to another place. I don't feel comfortable with not having clean tools used on my hands and feet in an inexpensive environment like this- or anywhere, really. That's how you get fungal infections! I gave her $10 and walked out. Sadly, I probably won't return even though it's super convenient. They also always have the TV on with really poor connection, so the feed is constantly in and out. Audibly it's annoying and I don't really want to watch the Kelly Clarkson talk show or the news or whatever lame TV shows they have on in that place. read more

The place has no ambiance, smells like fish, has limited color selection, and is run by some old ladies with bad vision that do a terrible paint job. They cut my nails way too short and painted on my skin and didn't even bother cleaning it up. So I'm leaving with smudged paint and an overall sloppy job that I could have done a way better job at home. They charge $20 for a pedicure and I have definitely received way better work for this price . read more

I had a very nice time at RA Nails today. There is a respective parking lot, zero wait (12:45 pm on a Thursday), and no hassle even though I used a Groupon. Nice extra perks like a hot stone foot massage, cooling cream on my hands, and a handy drying station. Monica worked on my toes and Andrea did my manicure. They gave me the worst pedicure I've ever had. Gosh I just wanted to let it go but their work is sloppy and there are so many better nail salon options. I was short on time and couldn't make the drive over to my usual place and I had an event the following day so walking in at a nearby location was my only option. I walked in and there were only 2 clients, both finishing up, and 3 technicians. I sat down and waited a short time, why I waited is a mystery....because there was an available person to help me. They never got 'busy'. One of the ladies finished the mani pedi she was doing and began to do mine. Truthfully I only needed a polish change but I opted for the relaxation of the entire service. HUGE MISTAKE here! Long story short, I got the sloppiest pedi and polish job I've ever had. The polish that I came in with looked better that the finished product leaving here. I left with what I'd call a reverse french manicure ??? starting at the cuticle it goes from no polish, smudged/cracked looking polish and then the rest. At one point when she said 'okay you're done" I had to tell her the polish isn't even covering my nails. She repainted one toe and then moved on. Huh?? I had to request that she at least come back and put clear coat on the repainted toe. Thumbs down. read more

First and last time I will ever come here. I get my nails done every week and I thought I would try a new place since my nail lady is on vacation; huge mistake! I asked for acrylic and the lady didn't file my nails first even after I asked her several times. Then comes the filing of the acrylic nail and oh my gosh .. no words. She made them half square half rounded and extremely WIDE. I told her to skip the polish as I just wanted to get out of there as fast as I could. I immediately went down the street to fix the awful mess this place made. I don't know how they received a license to do nails when it was so clear that they did not know what they were doing.
