Stopped by this bar that had an Alice in Wonderland theme it was cute and fun without trying too hard. It wasn't mind blowing but they did a nice job. Definitely a cool spot if you're into themed places that don't go overboard. Drinks were good. The menu had a nice variety, and everything we ordered tasted nice. They were out of one ingredient for a drink we wanted, but the bartender let us know right away so no complaints there. Service was good, like the ambiance nothing out of this world but it did the job. We didn't have to wait very long at the bar One of the main highlights was the DJ, they played a great mix that we wouldn't have expected at a small bar. There were also plenty of seats, which was nice for when we wanted to just chill for a bit and talk. Overall was a fun night. I personally wouldn't go back but if you're looking for a nice night especially with friends at a relaxed, themed spot with good music and solid drinks, this is a chill go to

We came in for a quick round of drinks and got the sailor moon and the kallaita and both were excellent. A little sweet, strong, good flavor and of course the tajin rim. The workers were nice and the interior was cool. I liked the theme and name of the place and all the upside down stuff hanging from the ceiling was cool. Dim and chill and near a parking structure so it wasn't a pain to find parking even tho it was a weekend and the structure was pretty packed.

I've been here a few times over the past number of years and some nights have been more memorable than others just because of the patrons alone, but I'm not here to review the crowd. I'm here strictly speaking for the bartenders, bouncers, restroom facilities, and drinks. So the bartenders have always been knowledgeable and courteous, starting with a woman who used to work there named Stephanie. She had always been very gracious, kind, and extremely knowledgeable. She really was a master mixologist and a master conversationalist. The drinks she created were always tasty and she was always more than ready and able to suggest new things to patrons. Present day, she's moved onto a different bar in Highland Park, but there is a mixologist there now who is equally as wonderful. Thalia is her name. She has made the last three times I've gone excellent. One evening she made me a few different drinks to try and I remember falling in love with a cocktail called The Molly. One thing to bear in mind when ordering is that it's sort of like a revolving sushi place and the plates (drinks) stack up fast! Your tab at the end of the night may surprise you if you don't watch it, but it's not surprising given how tasty they are. The bouncers have never been a point of contention and have always been professional and kind, unlike the sewer of a bar next door. The restrooms are as expected in this area for a bar--could use a little more mopping and a little more restocking. I wish people would stop writing their stupid names and slapping stickers all over the place, but that's just the world we live in. I really wish that management would put a lock on the men's restroom door though. The first time I was there, someone walked in on me while I was...sitting down...because of that, I had to use the women's restroom my last visit. Because of the restroom, I've got to give this a four out of five. Parking has never been an issue, even though it's a popular spot on a popular street because there's a garage literally right around the corner and another one just the next block down where the movie theater is. Y'all should give it a try! They always have nice djs spinning good music and the crowd is perfect for the Alice in Wonderland theme on the walls and menu!

Jacob and Chris were so nice and helpful. They were knowledgeable in the featured drinks when I asked questions and so kind and patient with our large group. The drinks were great but nothing compares to their hospitality, will be coming back just for them. The vibe and decorations are cool but the bartenders are what will keep you coming back. 10/10

FRIENDLY STAFFFFF & A1 service! s/o to kimberly & louie for being so amazing and making our first time there so memorable & fun with all the shots on the house all the drinks made by kimberly were super delicious which was dangerous in a good way my all time favorite drink was the sailor moon, I recommend everyone trying it If you're lucky, there's close street parking in front, but usually we park at the lot in the next opening street which isn't a bad walk at all came on a friday night and it didn't get too packed by the time we left, but they have a live dj playing music which was most needed for me and the gorliessss ***vaccination proof required upon entering!

I was expecting more... easy to find, parking structure close by, sat night crowd... Girls line for restroom long.. Drinks were okay and not loaded Dance area is nice buy too small and little to room to sit or relax Attempting to create vibe... mediocre... Okay place to hang out and just chat and have a couple drinks...

So I had to go support this vegan business! The restaurant-bar is such a unique place. Eclectic, charming, lively. I came on a Thursday night which is their Ma Jong night. Lots of people were already set up and playing. Friendly crowd who welcome people into their table to play even if you come solo. They are gluten-free, vegan / plant-based, and alcohol-free. I ordered two drinks from an extensive and tempting menu. Both cocktails were excellent. I enjoyed chatting with Arlio who owns and runs Free Spirited with his wife. He is a truly warm and friendly guy. I learned that they actually make their own zero-proof alcohol to control for allergens and alcohol content! I also ordered a scallop dish made from trumpet mushroom stalks. OMG. It was delicious! Buttery and lemony. Ordered a side of gluten-free french bread. I'm not gluten sensitive, but I couldn't tell the difference; it was just great bread with a nice crusty exterior and soft center. Please go and support this business. I'm going to keep coming back as often as I can. Hoping our Yelp community can help them stay open!

TLDR: Improved technology, more modern look, still affordable…read more I had been meaning to check out this newly reopened bowling alley for a while now, so I'm glad I finally got to go! I'm not sure if it's being run by the same owner or if someone else took over, but the building looks much more modern now. It's a little bittersweet to see all the nostalgic pieces of my childhood gone, but it's hard to deny that it's for the best. Prices were still pretty affordable. The staff member let us know that there's a cheaper deal on weekdays, which is pretty normal for bowling alleys. There is clearly a lot more seating on the top floor. The addition of all the tables is really nice. I also noticed that they removed the extra TVs that used to either play ads or sports and stuff. They also got rid of all the pool tables that I never saw anyone use. The screens and control panels are all updated to this modern design too. Something else that was interesting was how the old bowling ball racks were moved to the side of the building to make room for bag hooks behind the people bowling. Although it's a good idea, it's kind of hard to watch your belongings when they're behind you like that, so it leaves your stuff kind of open for stealing. It's also easier to grab the bowling ball you need though because they're all in one place instead of spread across the whole building. The only thing that I kind of hate is the seating down by the alley. There's actually less seating down there with these standalone dining table sets replacing the old benches. Since our party arrived when there were many other people there, we only had one side of the lane while strangers were on the other side. It's just a little awkward to sit at a dining table with strangers like that. Not to mention, the seating arrangement left a lot of people standing and kind of made it hard to communicate with each other. In terms of bowling mechanics, I think the amount of time it takes for the bowling ball to return has been reduced significantly. I'm so glad we don't have to wait ages for the ball to return for the second throw! The machine also didn't seem to experience incorrect racking, which used to happen all the time here. Sadly, the screen does not tell you the mph your throw was at anymore. I always thought that was a very helpful feature, so it's a shame to see it go. Lastly, the floors seemed well cleaned and waxed. I didn't have to powder my shoes and felt like my bowling ball glided pretty smoothly down the alleyway. Overall, I think this bowling alley is nice. I'm glad to have an alley that's close to my house again!

The gentleman explained to us the pricing for bowling and it's reasonably priced considering that other places cost a bit more. Restrooms are well kept when I had gone. The decor is also very nice, it's like a transformation walking into a tasting area in a winery. I get why this place is the way it is, it is a different persona from the other owned establishment, but wine can be intimidating. You have the reds, whites, the sweets, the sparkling and etc. Not only the difference in profile, but you can pair it with food to enhance the overall flavor. There's potential to display educational decor or have sessions to educate. They do provide a wine club, but small steps can establish commitments with a new customer base. The pizza is delicious. The sauce is great, the crust is solid, and the toppings are of quality. If you want something light and fresh, the Margherita. The most underrated pizza since we are all accustomed to a lot of toppings on pizzas. This is a must try. This place out of the other owned spots has burrata cheese. I think adding mozzarella with burrata would improve this pie, but nonetheless still good. The truffle pig pizza was also good. If you're looking for meaty and something not too light, this would be a good option. I definitely will be back. Thanks for everything!
