This is a nice cozy spot to enjoy wine or draft beer (limited) to 4 on top. It is decent in size with several tables and a bar, centered at the location. The decor is also very nice, it's like a transformation walking into a tasting area in a winery. I get why this place is the way it is, it is a different persona from the other owned establishment, but wine can be intimidating. You have the reds, whites, the sweets, the sparkling and etc. Not only the difference in profile, but you can pair it with food to enhance the overall flavor. There's potential to display educational decor or have sessions to educate. They do provide a wine club, but small steps can establish commitments with a new customer base. The pizza is delicious. The sauce is great, the crust is solid, and the toppings are of quality. If you want something light and fresh, the Margherita. The most underrated pizza since we are all accustomed to a lot of toppings on pizzas. This is a must try. This place out of the other owned spots has burrata cheese. I think adding mozzarella with burrata would improve this pie, but nonetheless still good. The truffle pig pizza was also good. The inside restaurant is small but they have a back patio area that allows you to forget you are next to a parking lot. We ordered six wines, calamari, truffle fries, Mac and cheese, scicillian arracini and the pepperoni and pig pizzas! All of it was delicious and we actually ordered the truffle fries twice. The fries weren't the crispiest but they had were seasoned well and you tasted the truffle oil with the cheese. The pizza had a delicious crust and the toppings tasted fresh. Such a nice surprise and felt like a hidden gem in SGV!! Just off Main Street but parking is relatively easy as there are lots nearby. We came for happy hour on a Friday night around 5:30pm and didn't have to wait. We sat at the back patio which had heaters and curtains to divide each section which was a nice addition and kept the warmth in. The couches were comfy and overall a great spot to hang out and eat with a larger group as well. For 2 people, we got the truffle pig pizza and pepperoni pizza, both $2 off for happy hour and a glass of $7 happy hour house white wine! The pizzas were sooo good and super flavorful. The size was great for happy hour too and the pizzas didn't feel small just because it was happy hour. Service was fantastic, food & drinks were great, it's super affordable, loved the decor with indoor and outdoor seating & free parking right next door. We had 30 guests & could have easily fit 10-15 more people comfortably inside and another 10-15 people outside. The food came from the Italian restaurant next door Charlie's Trio. Everything we ordered was delicious, my favorite was the broasted chicken & pasta bud. The pizzas, sliders & bruschetta were also very good. The only thing I didn't love was the pesto pasta. When we arrived at Vino's we were greeted by a man who seemed very stressed and he honestly seemed annoyed that we had come in. He had a bad attitude which made me feel a bit unwelcome and uncomfortable. He showed us to a table outside and we sat down and started looking at the menu. He then came back after a few minutes and told us "actually this table was for someone else" and then had us get up and told us there were no other tables available... so we had to leave. The whole thing was just strange and uncomfortable. I have been a server and bartender for years, I understand how stressful that job can be and that some nights are busier than others, however making guests feel unwelcome is not okay. It looked like there was only one server for the entire restaurant inside and their patio outside. Even though he was extremely busy, he always gave us his full attention when he came to check on us -- even when he was across the room and saw me pulling the wine out of its chiller, he rushed over to pour the wine for us. Loved the garlic parmesan fries -- i love a thick cut and enjoyed the dips that came along with it! The Roma Gorgonzola pizza is a must try if you're a fan of the cheese and rich, deep flavor profiles. It was really well balanced with the greens on top. There has only been one other restaurant that makes this pizza that I like and Vino's is coming in first! Our favorite semi hidden Sunday brunch spot. We live just blocks away and really enjoy walking over on a beautiful Sunday morning while everyone else is distracted by the Farmers Market. Not even mad that Vinos Back Alley hasn't been overpopulated with a Brunch crowd. We get great service, have had one on one conversations with staff that isn't rushed, and have learned a little bit more about wine and their wine club. Yes they have a wine club! I'm a sucker for steak and veggies, add eggs to that and I'm in heaven. My favorite item on the brunch menu is their steak and eggs. Comes with breakfast potatoes and a lovely side salad. Steak is always tender, flavorful, and extremely satisfying. My husband loves the Chorizo Breakfast Pizza so we usually share both dishes. There are tons of wine and cocktails options. This past Sunday we tried their Sorbet Cocktail. Prosecco poured over Fosselman's handmade sorbet. We ordered one of each flavor: lemon and strawberry. Super refreshing and light. Might be the winner for our summer cocktail favorite. Sit inside on their super comfy leather benches or enjoy a little sunshine in their outdoor patio. One day we'll come for dinner. They're part of Charlie's Trio but have a separate smaller menu, but for the most part, you're able to request and order the menu from Charlie's if they're not very busy. I decided to come back here to pre-party with the bestie before I sent her off to Granada to do her salsa thang on a Saturday night. IT was packed. However, I love that it's quaint, modern, and clean! I was able to snag two seats at the bar and order some wines. I had the red flight which had 3 reds (from CA wineries) for $15. When the bestie came, we ordered a bottle of Prosecco for $35 so that was a steal. I had a beer after and everything was fine in terms of drinks. Nothing out of ordinary, but I was glad there wasn't anything that made me regret swallowing. It's a cute, casual wine bar that isn't there to super impress like it has a secret wine vault with wallet-killing wines, but I like the fact that it supports native California wineries with reasonable pricing! It's definitely NOT a place to host large parties, but good for parties of 4 or under. I will come back again since they close at 11pm. They kept my reservation and even accommodated when I had to add 3 more seats. I really appreciate their flexibility! The drinks here are sooo delicious! Happy hour is 4-6pm. I got the mango sorbet drink and it was sooo good and they provide a spoon to eat the sorbet with too :0) I also tried the peach cream drink and it was also amazing! Sangrias looked so tasty too We ordered the cheese board and some pizzas and garlic fries!
