Joe was an absolute rockstar at this location. I really enjoyed chatting with him while he crafted some of the best salad bowls I've had. One of the things I love about Rachel's is that you can pile on all the veggies you want without any extra charges -- and each salad easily made two meals for me. And I can't forget the hefty Buffalo chicken pita wrap I ordered. Joe packed in every topping I requested and somehow managed to wrap it all tightly in a whole-wheat pita. Honestly shocked that Rachel's doesn't have a better rating. I love Rachel's! This location is fine. The workers are nice enough, it's always clean, and the food is decent quality. And their garlic sauce is honestly one of the best sauces I've ever had. It's perfection. So good. Also, a game changer for me was getting the Rachel rice instead of the brown rice. I was pleasantly surprised with my experience here. It's kind of like a Mediterranean chipotle vibe. I felt that all the ingredients were very fresh and flavorful. Overall this was a decent lunch. I liked the chicken and the ingredients were all so fresh and complimented each other well. I arrived to pick up the lunch order and they had just cooked the chicken which was nice to know. I feel like I remember the bowl being bigger or deeper but this was still a decent size. The service was quick, and very friendly. They made sure everything was right and included in the order before I left. My daughter payed I found it little high but everything is now .the server's were fast and the guy who cashed us out was friendlier. Last I checked, having a side conversation with your co-worker and ignoring paying customers not smart.... Stopped in here around dinner time 5: 30 p.m., place was deader then a door nail and I can honestly understand why. If your not busy, come on clean up the two trays with crumbs, that are clearly visible when you first walk in the door. Not a good first impression. I ordered a Chicken Shawarma rice bowl....having their catered food pre-pandemic, expected the same type of quality and was utterly disappointed all around. The chicken was tough, as if it had been sitting around all day. Their was no garlic sauce or potatoes on my bowl, the rice was old and over cooked. The tomatos looked like they were from yesterday, nothing seemed that fresh and the staff were in their own worlds. For a fast food quick, service $11.95 for a bowl was a bit steep, considering the service and poor quality of the food wasnt worth it. I may or may not give Rachels another shot in the future. If I do, it would have to be the Original Rachels location. My son said it one of his go-to places. Well they have rice bowls and wraps to choose from. Maybe more but this is what I seen online. It's like chipotle meets greek meets choices. First let me say, I've eaten at Rachel's on many occasions and have always enjoyed the food and the service. I wanted to get dinner to go for home. The waiter was very abrupt. I asked for a rice bowl with Chicken Shawarma. As he began adding the fixings, I asked for peppers, onions, banana peppers. He scooped up cucumbers and I said, Oh no I don't want cucumbers. His response was "FUCK" don't holler at me. My response was repeating what he said and adding , I'm not hollering at you, I just said I don't want cucumbers on my food. He said, "Get Out" before I call the police. I said call the police, I haven't done anything. He said, I'm not serving you and threw the food in the garbage. Before I left I demonstrated with hollering sounded like. As a 69 year old senior citizen, I would only hope, this isn't what customer service have to offer. read more

2nd time here, but 1st review. Food was good but just a touch pricey for fast food. Love that the bowl was paper based vs plastic! #savetheoceans These two reasons are why the review is bumped to 2 stars. The service received today was some of the worst ... even from a fast food perspective. I ordered online to be respectful of Social distancing and so I went to the online line. That was the start of a series of just worse and worse customer service. After 5 minutes of being ignored, I then asked if there was anyone helping the online orders. The staff proceed to ask who the order is for and then comment that it was never made. Without any apologies or communication, they then start making it and ignore me again. I then proceed to the cash out line and after 5-10 minutes it is finally done and the gentleman then realizes it was in fact done and gives me the previously finished order. Very annoyed, I then check my order and realized it wasn't made correctly and was missing Pita bread. They then rudely ask me if I wanted my pita bread or not. When I said I do, they then said I'll have to wait even longer then. I get its fast food, and these are high school and college kids, but even a minimum level of courtesy for customers would be nice let alone going above and beyond. There isn't a bad word that I can say about Rachel's. They have one of the best quality photos I've tasted out there. Their dressings are freshly made and wonderful their chicken is perfectly seasoned, their falafel is so flavorful! I love their Greek fries every now and again they're not as crunchy as I'd like but to be honest or smothered with Greek dressing, dill sauce and feta so at the end does it really matter? They are scrumptious. I typically get the rice bowl and I add Rachels rice or the brown rice... Are usually shy away from brown rice at locations such as this I eat chipotle because it seems dry but Rachel's brown rice is always flavorful fluffy and takes on the dressing really nicely. And then I load up on Either falafel, chicken, or the chicken Shawarma which is a blend of the souvlaki chicken with garlic sauce and french fries chapped and combined. Then I topped it all off with tomatoes lettuce, Dill sauce & Greek dressing and extra pickles and that for me as perfection! Sometimes the garlic sauce bc it's seriously AMAZING! The rice pudding is delicious there baklava is some of the best I've ever had and I have had a lot of baklava in my life LOL. They also have a relatively new rewards program which is fantastic thank you for giving back to the customers that consistently support a local business. Placed a pickup order thru their app and everything went smoothly and easy to order. Set pickup time for 3pm. Arrived 10 min early and was advised they changed the pick up time for 30min later. I never received an update or email stating this. The kids behind the counter was very low speaking, no motivation and unhelpful. I was advised they were busy and moved my time. There were two orders a head of me and no one inside waiting. Then was advised by the staff I would have to wait for them to make my order and they refused to make my order right away since I was there. I know i was early but for notification on the extended pickup time and the staff of unmotivated kids was very upsetting. The employees here have changed and for the worse. Will never order for a pickup order again. Original location on Walden has MUCH better service. Very disappointed with service. Poor management for the new Walden location. I'll never come back to this location. Our little ones have severe food allergies and the employees had zero knowledge about what's in the food. All three of them lacked the basic knowledge about it. My team ordered to go from this restaurant again. I would give this experience 2.5 stars but therecare no hslf stars. I ordered a chicken souvlaki wrap on wheat pita with feta and tzatziki sauce. My team members ordered a chicken rice bowl and a chicken shawarma wrap white white pita with onions. We ordered an extra pita and hummus dip. My wrap had too much pita compared to the contents. The chicken was dry and chewy and the wrap was the same. Instead of whole wheat it got delivered with white pita. Due to the dryness the contents kept falling out. No napkins were provided and we were working in a hotel room so had to go to the bathroom to get paper towels. My co-workers rice bowl was very good. However given the rectangular shape of the to go dish it was difficult to shake to get the dressing on the salad. No utensil was provided. My co-worker had to go to the hotel's front desk to get a fork to eat her salad. My other co-worker reported that her chicken shawarma wrsp was good. The hummus was not flavorful. It could have used more tahini and spices. Only a half a pita was served with the hummus which was a reasonable portion, so thete was hummus left over and nothing to scoop it up with. We were celebrating a birthday at work with my team and the birthday girl wanted Rachel's. This was my first time and I've only heard great things about this place. Everyone from work is always talking about how delicious it is. I went with a salad bowl with chicken. I thought that for a $12 salad at a quick service restaurant that I would get a little more chicken in it, or for it to be a little bigger. So I have to called my coworker if she wants something different with her bowl. Now they said the order ready just need my friend order. Well I wait for more than 10 minutes. Really? Then good thing I checked I ordered 3 baklava and they only gave me one. Then they said oh ok just grab it on the cooler. The store was NOT crowded. Crappy service. I have been here before where like other Yelpers service was slow, but on this trip they were on top of things. The ingredients were being freshly replaced as we walked in so our meals were delicious. I like that you can choose the toppings you want, and it may seem weird at a Mediterranean restaurant to order fries but they are fresh cut and incredible so maybe give them a try. We have only tried the chicken souvlaki and falafel rice bowls here, when something is good you do get it again! But next time I will be more adventurous - glad I didn't get swayed from them being slower before when we were in a hurry cause this time it was quicker and their food is delicious! read more

I have to agree with the other Yelpers, this location on Walden ave service is darn right unexcusable. I am here at 12:30 in the afternoon, I expected to see a line since it is lunch time. What I didn't expect is waiting because they had nothing cook, no chicken, or gyro. They did have beef available, only because the customer in front of me had to wait for them to cook it. I had to makesure that I wasn't in the wrong, so I check to see what time they opened. Well to my surprise, they open at 11am plenty of time to have food cooked. As they placed the frozen gyro on the grill, I decided to leave. No way was I going to wait another 15 minutes, and plus they offered no one a discount for the inconvenience. Upon checking our order we noticed it was completely wrong. Feta cheese instead of shredded cheese and triple chicken when we ordered a single scoop in the rice bowl. The pita wrap was wrong with the wrong bread. On top of the order being wrong; the meat was extremely dry almost like it was cooked and then frozen/refrigerated and NOT Fresh. Needless to say we where already home and couldn't return it. Completely inedible. I expect better since Rachel's is a favorite spot typically. read more

I found myself feeling really disappointed after all the build up this place received and all the advertising. The lines were exceedingly long which is good for them, lousy for customers and they could certainly have used a few extra staff members. After waiting nearly fifteen minutes just to order I got the bottom of a bin of chicken for my bowl and was slightly annoyed to see a rather slim selection of toppings. I was also rather surprised by the pricing structure, extra money just to add sauce? Come on already...I tried the baklava and it was pretty good, but also clearly mass produced and a little on the dry side. In all honesty, I enjoyed their previous location on Walden. Nonetheless, beggars can't be choosers, right? They seem to have the same staff as the previous location albeit less people this time around. I always thought there was way too many people behind the register. While it's nice that they're quite accommodating in that aspect, I don't need 3 people to pass my dill sauce down a chain line. I got the chicken shawarma as usual and it's great just as the previous location but I was hesitant because I have a stigma of restaurants moving and the food suffering at the expense - especially the first few months in.
