Corelife has a new line of Sizzle bowls. I ordered a Korean pull pork bowl last week, and this week I got a Kung Pao chicken bowl and Ranch chicken bowl. The are large bowls, each one can feed me at least 2-3 meals, so they are perfect to divide up and pack for lunch. The Korean bowl has a fried egg, pull pork, some shredded carrots, sprouts, broccoli, kimchi and purple rice. I wish the sauce can be on the side. I have not figured out how to request in the app. The Kung pao chicken bowl has that Chinese kung pao chicken taste with broccoli, carrots, onion and peppers, and purple rice. it comes with some peanuts. The ranch chicken bowl has black beans, corn, tortillas chips pieces, cheddar cheese and purple rice and a side ranch dressing. I just found out they gave special parking in the back for pick up. In an effort to be a little bit healthier with our fast food choices, we got dinner from CoreLife the other night. I have been here before and liked it so I figured this would be a good spot instead of a usual spot for us. We ordered online and picked up on our way home which was great. They had our order ready right at the pick up time and it was still hot when we got home. I opted to get a buffalo chicken bowl and it was delicious. The blue cheese is a greek yogurt blue cheese here which I was a little skeptical about until I tried it and it was so good. It's basically a better and healthier Chipotle style spot and I really enjoyed it. In a time where prices are high and you have to make selections that are beneficial for your pocket. I was appalled with my visit to Corelife. I've always been a fan and there are salads that I absolutely love to come and enjoy. So I stopped in the other day and decided to get a couple of bowls. The newest change with has been for a while now is they have added 2 different sizes. You choose regular or large. They have the bowls on display to show the difference. This is more of a gimmick to me because I really don't see a difference when they mix them in the same size stainless steel bowl to begin with. Therefore there is no change in the amount they are adding. I ordered 2 large because I knew that we would share, and we all know salad with dressing gets soggy if left as leftovers. I get this new chicken teriyaki and broccoli bowl. I'm watching it be made and the bottom of the bowl isn't even completely covered. Why am I paying and extra $3 for a bowl that's CLEARLY a smaller portion? I asked the gentleman and in an uncaring response he rolled his eyes and proceeded to put the lid on. I asked do they still offer bread he said NOPE ! I don't know if the large was supposed to be a method of having a family size portion or not ...but CLEARLY this place or these workers didn't get it. The restaurant appeared clean and quite empty. I had to go to the bathroom and that was a disaster! Dirty mirrors, dirt build up all around the sink., toilets not even flushed. Still great. Went last week and we both loved our bowls. Then got an email about points expiring and went in today and got the cup of broccoli cheese soup and naan with hummus. Both were excellent. App doesn't say how many points these things are (that's a corporate issue, not a local restaurant issue) but both are only $3 which is a great price. Add one or both as an app to your meal. After seeing the special deal for $7 bowls, we decided to check out a few. Their app was easy to use. You can build your own bowl or choose from items on the menu. It's nice that you can still change or add items to these bowls. The dressings were all ordered on the side. Pick-up time was set for 6:00 and was ready at about 6:15. We went with the Sourhwest Chicken & Purple Rice, Spicy Thai Chicken, Steak Bacon & Bleu, and the Korean BBQ Pork. We both thoroughly enjoyed the chicken options. The flavors all blended together perfectly with tender chicken, fresh ingredients, and the dressings (all homemade). The pork and steak bowls didn't quite live up to expectations. The egg on top of the pork just didn't do it for me. Then the pork was a bit tough. The steak was lacking something. It seemed like it was just bits of steak on a bed of lettuce. We pre-order 4 bowls on the app. Chose different toppings and sauces to create a variety of combinations. Of the 4 the one I liked most was the Spicy Thai Chickeni bowl. The one I liked the least and would never order again was the Steak, Bacon and Bleu bowl. The steak was not only flavorless but had the texture of re-manufactured meat. It may have been real steak but there are problems with their cooking process. Also a few cubes of meat in top of Roman Lettuce isn't worth the money. The Korean Barbecue Pork Bowl menu photo completely misrepresents what you get. Also, you would think that they would at least keep clean areas visable to the public. I ordered a large Greek chicken and quinoa bowl from the Clarence location. The chicken was so dry that I had to dip it in something just to be able to swallow/ choke it down. I'm pretty sure it's pre frozen, dehydrated cubes, definitely not cooked there. I watched her take it out of a small refrigerator and weigh it up in a dirty looking bowl. The quinoa was very dry and obviously super al dente. The tzatziki sauce was very watery. So to sum it up, that was a waste of $14.25. I substituted peppers for cheese that was supposed to be in my bowl and asked for a different dressing then the ones that would traditionally accompany the bowl (ranch and blue cheese). Walking in, I noticed several tables closed-off, to enforce social distancing, as well as signs requesting compliance to wear a face mask unless seated and eating or drinking. The person who began my order seemed as unsure of the menu items (and prices) but asked for confirmation that I indeed wanted the sad-looking romaine lettuce leaves for my wraps and not naan. (I held fast & asked for the lettuce.) There seemed to be quite a backup in online/takeaway orders as I patiently awaited my turn to pay for my meal and go eat. I did have to ask twice for the side of Brussel Sprouts and my drink cup. The payment process was easy enough. Insert the chip, follow the prompts. I came here for the first time with a couple of friends and had a pleasant experience! On the Friday before Christmas 2019 around 7pm, a few friends and I decided to meet here for dinner. The parking lot around this restaurant is pretty large but many of the spaces were filled when we arrived. Upon entering the restaurant, it is pretty spacious but I was surprised at how empty it was for a prime dinner hour. We were able to find a booth pretty quickly and started reviewing the menu. The menu comes in the form of a newspaper-style pamphlet and there are plenty of pre-made bowls to choose from, plus you have the option of building your own bowl. In addition, you can select a side that are usually special for that day as well as plenty of specialty drinks (teas, juices, etc.). The way you order is pretty similar to going to Chipotle. The staff working were all young and conscientious, easy to work with. I ended up ordering the Southwest Grilled Chicken and Purple Rice Blend grain bowl topped with greek yogurt bleu cheese and a side of maple bacon brussels sprouts. The grain bowl was delicious! The grilled chicken was warm and the ingredients tasted fresh and crisp. There were plenty of the listed ingredients tossed in the grain bowl. The brussels sprouts were very good too, I enjoyed the maple flavor and firmness from the brussels sprouts. The portion size was excellent for both the grain bowl and side. The price seemed pretty reasonable too. In general, I enjoyed my meal at CoreLife Eatery! If I want to have a healthier dinner but still want to "eat out", I would not hesitate to come here. I remain a big fan of this small chain. They have plenty of choices and the ingredients are fresh. The servings are also a reasonable size. This location can get busy but the line moves right along and there is plenty of seating. If you are doing a pickup the window is a little small and there isn't a good area for overflow. Their Poke Bowl is actually not bad and their salad products are decent as are some of their roasted veggies - but in general they're making pretty bland American food and charging way too much, selling it as healthy food even when plenty of items aren't, and they're doing that on a massive basis right across this region of New York State. Oh, and the quality is definitely suffering as a result. I can't really afford here to eat here too often, and every time I get into regularly ordering a special that is doing it for me and I want to come back and get it again, the special has ended and it's gone back up to the sky high price - so needless to say I probably won't be coming back here too often. Sadly have to take off a star as this is the second time I recently picked up an order and saw an employee (woman I am assuming is management) with no mask on. The first time, I walked in behind her, and not only did she have no mask on but proceeded to work and interact with other employees (all wearing masks) like we aren't in the middle of a pandemic. I appreciate all of the employees who abide by NYS direction to wear masks and am disappointed to see the same woman not setting the standard we are required to follow. Can't say I was super impressed with my meal but I did leave feeling satisfied (hunger-wise). I was very hungry so that alone should guarantee stars but I can't put my finger on why it was just "okay". Maybe the greens were too dry? Hmm... maybe I should've just ordered more toppings even if it was an extra charge (ahem: avocado!)?!! The soup was bland and at one point I almost freaked - I could've sworn I saw pieces of pork. I went back to check the ingredients and it was made with a veggie broth. Greens, tofu, mushrooms swimming in a bland broth. They don't have a soup base with pork meat so not sure what I saw but I just didn't bother to finish it. Don't be surprised or disappointed. Having Korean BBQ Bowl at CoreLife is nothing like ordering Bibimbap. Although I didn't get what I expected, I was still pleased with my lunch choice. There was plenty of food. Just say, "give me everything and even more." Definitely don't skip the extra sauce. The pork was rather dry and needed much more liquid for consistency and boosting the taste. My favorite part was the egg, really fresh and perfectly done. The "Sriracha sprouts" added some satisfying crunch. I like the texture of it. The Kimchi was too bland in my opinion. It would have been much better if they use the real thing. Playing it safe with spices must be how they roll. I noticed plenty of salt and pepper shakers available. We used both. The second bowl we ordered was Ranch Flank Steak. We liked pickled red onion the best. The falafels were so little. That's a good thing because bigger could be a choking hazard. They tasted fine but were way too dry. The roasted sweet potato was covered with cinnamon. I personally liked it a lot, but not my partner who ordered the dish. I ate them all. There were no beets at the time of the order. Again, I understand it must be a policy of this place to ask a lot of questions. However, the dishes from the menu should be served with just the right amount of everything so it tastes its best. Its nice now that this place has calmed down a little. I dont have to wait 30 minutes in line like when it first opened! Lots of parking, lots of seating, lots of food options, all fully customizable since they make it right in front of you. I really love the tuna bowl, and the broth bowls are also really good on a cold day. I usually ask whoever is working what their favorite combo is when I want to try something new, since they have the most opportunity to experiment with different things, and it always turns out great. The last time I was in I ordered a spicy chicken broth bowl, but I didnt want it TOO spicy, so the guy working helped me out with some substitutions that would cut down on the heat. It turned out perfect. Love all the drink options too. Wish they had more warm options for the winter though. All in all just a great fast casual restaurant when I want something healthy. I finally made my way out to the CoreLife Eatery last Saturday and I'm sure glad I finally did! We came here around 8:30PM and the place had a good amount of people in it. The menu offers a ton of different salad options that can be topped off with any kind of meat you want. I decided to go with the steak. My only real complaint comes with when my bowl started getting made, I noticed there was only like 3 small chunks of steak left so I assumed the worker would ask if I wanted to change my meat choice but instead just threw the 3 chunks on and finished me off. I then thought maybe they just don't put much meat on it but then I proceeded to watch my girlfriends bowl get made with a ton of chicken. I'm not one to complain and honestly things happen so I wasn't going to make a fuss over it. Overall, I ended up really liking my salad (obviously it would of been better with more then 3 tiny chunks but none the less) and I would definitely come back here again. It was exciting to see a place called CoreLife eatery pop up on Transit Road. My friends and I decided to stop here this past week. I had heard the name but I really didn't have any clue what they had to offer in terms of food or set-up. As far as the food, they severe broth bowls, grain bowls and salad bowls. The concept is quite interesting in that you choose one of their pre-selected bowls to give you an idea to start off with and you customize it from there. The staff was all really friendly and really made it seem like they wanted to customize this meal especially for you. For my first time, I went with the chicken tortilla broth bowl. I customized it with bean sprouts and edamame. The ingredients were then steamed and the broth added to it. Talk about fresh! You can really tell all of these ingredients are well thought out and all fresh as well. The broth bowl was quite delicious and it was a perfect balance of protein and greens. When you think about soups at restaurants, you may thing of it being salty, but this was not the case! A low-sodium soup was just something so refreshing but still warmed and filled you up. I tried a taste of my boyfriend's poke bowl and the tuna was just so fresh and tasty. They also offer a variety of juices and iced teas. I went with the green tea which was quite soothing even without any sweetener. Over all this place is very unique in the Buffalo area. Hello! I love CoreLife and would give it five stars, but continuously when I order online, there seems to be something wrong with the order. Just yesterday, they left out an entire bowl of soup from my order. I will go back, but am a little discouraged after the constant mistakes. read more

The only reason I'm not giving this place 5 stars is because the pre-order and take out part is lacking. I have gone to this location multiple times, and I have only had a couple of minor issues. I love their salads. There is a lot of variety, whether you choose a signature salad or build your own. I have tried a few of the salads, but my go to salads are the Thai chicken noodle (which includes lettuce and a grain), the southwest chicken salad (also a lettuce with grain), and the ginger steak salad (which is lettuce). Core Life is reasonably priced, and you typically get a healthy serving for the $8 you pay for the smallest bowl (which I believe is standard). Depending on the type of salad, I can split one with another person and be content. I like that you can see your salad being made in front of you, and you can tweak it if need be. They have so many flavorful dressings to choose from. They're honestly the best part of the salad. You also get a complimentary piece of bread at the end of the line (it's cafeteria style). Their homemade lemonades and drinks are heavenly. They have a delicious apple cider green tea that I can't drink enough of. I also love their cucumber basil lemonade, cranberry cayenne lemonade, and the beet lemonade is surprisingly good as well. It's earthy and refreshing, all of their drinks are. I have yet to try their broths, but I hope to at some point. The service is usually OK. I have rarely had an issue with that. I love the community, green vibe of the inside. They have a gorgeous patio. It's a lovely place, and a nice option especially if you want something healthier. read more

When it's time for you to finally check out CoreLife, I hope you aren't forced out into the cold like scores of so many others waiting in line to get into the door. Ironically enough, those poor, skinny souls didn't have enough stored fatty reserves to survive the wait and died of exposure. Lucky for me, I caught the Core at the right time, and got in without a hitch. I had a large Steak, Bacon and Blue cheese salad, which comes with heirloom tomatoes and chopped walnuts. You have an option for "double the protein", which I mistakenly believed was included with the large size but sadly, it was not. Most men probably need to double that protein. Everything here is made "clean". There are signs up that brag and say, "Grass fed beef", or "Responsibly line-caught tuna". I don't know what it means to catch a fish "responsibly". Maybe the fishermen weren't drinking that day, but I've always been led to believe that fishermen are like rock stars where they do there best work under the influence. Regardless of when you go (or try to go but get scared away by the long line), CoreLife has no less than a dozen people behind the line serving you. Thankfully, the line moves quick but it can be confusing. They get your attention by the type of meal you are choosing (e.g. Steak, Bacon, Blue), but I wish they were more specific with a first name/last initial, or articles of clothing so that way they could just yell: "Knee High soccer socks, Batman cape, no shirt?", and I would know they are referring to me. Where do I begin. I am a 55 year old female. Registered Nursr for 24 years, now Nurse Practitioner. I say this because I can truly understand what it is like to work short staffed and dealing with the public at times. But on this day the person who called himself the manager came up to my table and threw out my food that I just paid for, literally picked up my food off the table, and walked over to the trash and threw it out in the trash, while other customers sat eating. It all started when after working a long day at the hospital in Rochester, NY, stopping in after a gym work out. I stand in line and start ordering as usual with the girl behind the counter. When done, I proceed to the area where the utensils and napkins are. I grabbed my utensils and some napkins. The so-called manager behind the counter starts raising his voice, yelling from behind the counter yelling ma,am don't do that! I said, "Do what?" He was referring to the already opened napkin holder that hangs from the wall that when I got there, it was already opened. I said back to him, " What are you talking about?" It was already opened. He then came from behind the counter and slammed it shut again while customers were sitting down eating. I went and sat with my food and started to eat. I didn't like how I was treated by this person who said he was one of the managers, because he done this to me before while I was standing in line again after working and stopong at the gym, he started yelling over the counter ma'am don't reach over the glass. I said I'm sorry, there are just no names, and I was just trying to help." He continued to ramble on, I just ignored him at that time. The last 2 times, I noticed this when I was there. So, I went up to the counter after this incident and asked who the manager was. He said he was one of them. I told him that I didn't like the way he had treated me in here the last two times I was there. I told him you have been rude to me.each time for no reason. I work hard driving as a nurse back and forth from Rochester, NY, and pay for my food with the money I worked for. He said I was rude. I said when? I never talk to you when I order my food. It is usually one of the girls that do the orders. The only time I see him is when I show up and you come out from the back. He has made a point to let me know he was there. Long story short, he came up to my table, picked up my food, and threw it in the trash. The cops were called and showed up, and my refund was given back to me. A guy like this doesn't belong working in public. He shows no leadership skills what so ever for when in public and is a loose cannon. Service just isn't what it used to be. This is why customers don't want to tip anymore or even go out to eat. That person who called himself a manager doesn't belong working with the public. read more
