Great day outside. Jessica the waitress is 5 stars. The views here are great! My cheesesteak was average but my fries were very good! The beer wasn't cold enough to my liking. I saw the shrimp tacos and it looked better. This place has a great atmosphere.

My thoughts are a two-part review. One on the museum and second on the restaurant. The museum is wonderful. There are plenty of pictures, racing relics, and displays, to not only entertain you, but to allow you to understand the true beginning of Daytona's racing. (And I'm a novice race fan) Now the restaurant portion. I was excited about the many food choices offered. I finally opted for their Monte Cristo, and my partner the fried shrimp platter. Very disappointed. The fried shrimp platter offered limp shrimp and mushy fries and coleslaw. The Monte Cristo, well I didn't receive all of it. The sandwich was impressive with its golden fried bread and stacks of ham and turkey but it was soon cold because I was waiting on the raspberry jam. I was told it was being picked up from Publix. Yup, they ran out and decided to serve it without a main ingredient. Also, the onion rings were greasy and cold. So for us, the food was a flop. Side note: The manager did stop by to see how things were but before we could answer, he was off to another table. So my advice, stop for a drink. There's a nice bar with beach view, and definitely stop for the history!

Lunch, wings, peel and eat shrimp and potato wedges

This is a fun littlw museum and beach bar all in one. A couple we met our first night in Daytona told us about it and since it was on the way to the Ponce Lighthouse we decided to go after we saw the lighthouse. Very cool display of NASCAR's origin. The bar and restaurant is pretty much outside seating out back, some covered, some out in the open but under umbrellas. We ordered peel ans eat shrimp, wings and "fries." The wings and shrimp were good but the potato offering was not fries. If I had known what they were, I would not have ordered them but it is my fault because we didn't see fries on the menu and asked our server if they had fries and he said yes. If you are a fry person like me, you need to know that. Other than the fries not fries, I would absolutely recommend stopping by as it is a nice place right on the beach.

Stopped here for brunch before heading home after a quick staycation beach getaway. Party of 8, 4 adults, 4 kids. Walked in without reservation and were seated right away. Our friend highly recommended this place and it lived up to the hype. Incredible service. Rich history. Amazing food. Beautiful beachfront views. It was a chilly, windy day so they had the wind blockers down which was perfect with space heaters on. Very comfortable and even for 50 degrees. Table had: fish Reuben, steak & egg Philly, Monte Crisco, chicken & waffles, kids Mac & kids tenders + ahi taco & shrimp appetizers. Everyone left with full happy bellies. Kids meals served in a fun paper camero car that they can take home. Our kids split the chicken and waffle meal which was perfect amount of sweet & savory and enough food for 3! Loved the history and spent lots of time looking at collection of NASCAR memorabilia. The kids enjoyed the gift shop too.

Racing's North Turn continues to be one of our favorite restaurants in Daytona Beach area. Not only is the view absolutely spectacular the food is delicious. Tonight I had their stuffed grouper and my wife had the fish and chips. Both excellent.

Great views and great service! Prices are a bit on the higher side, but the views definitely make up for it! Food was good!

What a great atmosphere and beautiful view! We ordered the grouper stuffed with crab cakes over grits and a hamburger. Best of all was the service. Luc was a very attentive server. All the employees were very friendly and welcoming. We will be back soon.

Best burger we have had in a while ... one with onion rings and one with great slaw. The ocean view is beautiful.. umbrellas and covered too. All outdoor seating- great parking across the street Menu has options for everyone. Service was perfect Music on Fridays and I will say it was loud. Not sure why restaurants think music needs to be so loud you can't have a conversation. We will return for sure!!! Very good.

Those oysters didn't stand a chance

What is the best time to go on a Saturday in July? We have friends visiting from the UK and want to visit with them. Will be 6 of us. Appreciate any info.

    Afternoon. Maybe between 3-5pm.

Can anybody tell me what is in the super-charged sauce? Or if there is anything comparable to make or buy?? We are in NC, and CRAVING some RNT supercharged sauce for our chicken tacos!!!!

That's a great question, but it's a proprietary sauce and they won't tell. I'm a VIP customer and I don't even know, but you won't be disappointed. If you go and sit at the bar on weekends you'll meet Dave and Hannah. Tell them John sent you.

Are they open after the hurricane went through?

Should be. My sister lives down the road from them and they didn't have much damage.

What are the prices of the dinners?

Appetizers range from $7-$18 depending on what it is and meals range from $13-$30. Some may be a little less if they're salads or sandwiches and some a little more expensive if they're higher end seafood. But my wife and I ate and drank for dinner…

The restaurant has indoor seating with A/C and outside seating including a bar and grill area. Even a little gift shop inside. The views are beautiful and the water is crystal clear. It's a pretty large property in case you have a large group. The service was ok and the food was even better. We started off with the "Hatch Calamari' which came with an interesting sweet Thai chili sauce. I've never had it with black olives and pepperoncinis. It was also much thicker than I'm used to, but it worked. The calamari were excellent. Thin batter with the calamari perfectly fried and not gummy. I highly recommend them! I had the "fried shrimp basket" which was ok. It's your standard semi-soggy fries (even after asking them fried crispy) and the jumbo shrimps were just ok, they were a bit too hard. My wife had the "She Crab Soup" which might have been the star of the show. Looks are deceiving because it surely tastes better than it looks. It's a light brown color and really thick consistency but tasted great! The taste sneaks up on you. Seasoned perfectly and I would definitely recommend it. Overall we had a pleasant experience and will definitely be back!

While hanging out at the lighthouse, we got hungry. I'm not sure if the lighthouse made us hungry…read moreor if blasting Wind Walker's album 'What if I Break' on the way there made us hungry. (seeing them in May-excite!) I don't think this place is associated with the lighthouse but it's conveniently located and easy to walk across the street to. They have indoor and outdoor seating so depending on the weather-your preference, you can still enjoy. Any time there's food and a large body of water close by, it's sure to be a good time. They do have a bird. He seemed to be a regular because everyone knew about him and servers laughed about him. I heard one guy say that they sell some kind of shrimp there to feed him so I suspect that's why he has created his home. They probably can't even kick him out. I wanted oysters. I needed them. Not the best I've had but they were good and didn't make me sick so a win. Had I died from them,(Wind Walkers-"Just be sure when you leave, you leave me in a body bag"). At this particular moment, I wasn't sure if they'd be enough so I did order the Island Pork Wrap - key lime pork ribeye, rice, pineapple, mango, peppers, and onions. It was good but a bit heavy. I ate half of it and took the other half. I saw rice, pineapple, mango and needed it. The pork was the lacking part. My wife had the same thing but the bowl version. She ate all of it. We did order the fried green tomatoes as well. Delicious as most green tomatoes are. I'd certainly visit this place again. They had a large menu/huge variety. The atmosphere was good. The food was good(at least ours was). The service was absent at times but it might just be one of those places where you have to flag someone down. It was middle of the day on a Wednesday so it wasn't that busy but it did seem like it took our meal a while to be brought out. Not a big deal because we were killing time anyway but something to keep in mind if you have somewhere to be. I wish I could apply this lyric to the place: "Even when I'm cold, I will love so loud", but I can't. I still liked it though. If you're hungry, this place will satisfy.
