Went here on a Sunday for football. They have a ton of TV's and all had games on. So it's a good place to watch games, food isn't that good and while there are plenty of beer options, most are not that good. In early January they still had a bunch of "pumpkin" beers left. For a Sunday place wasn't that crowded. I'm guessing there are much better options to watch a game with better food options. read more

It is always unfortunate when you have to update a review after patronage, but I feel like I am obligated to update this one. I have been to half wall in Port Orange FL more than a handful of times and I can honestly say from repeated patronage that who ever the chef is here is extremely lazy or the manager is trying to keep food for longer than it should be. I have had wings here that tasted old and were warm at best. That was disappointing, and I said okay, maybe that was a one-off because the beer here is the best in this area. But today, I ordered their coffee crusted sirloin. It came with two sides. I took the cucumber salad and coleslaw. The sirloin was closer to a petit filet, and the slaw tasted like it had been in the fridge too long. So I requested to have the fries instead, and they accommodated me. I requested it with mayo, and guess what? Yep... they brought me mayo that looked like it had been sitting uncovered in their freezer since who knows when. I mentioned this to my server with the comment that their chef was lazy, which she took offense to. She said, "they change everything daily." I am absolutely sure she is misinformed because the coleslaw and may have been sitting somewhere for a while. The coleslaw in the fridge and the mayo who knows where with its yellow top. Next time I come here I will eat first. Still, the beer is the best in Port Orange/Daytona area, and the service is the absolute best. Which is the only reason in good conscience I can barely give 3 stars. read more

Currently sitting in Half Wall having dinner with some long time friends visiting from out of town. It's a very impressive interior with an even more impressive choice of craft beer. Our server has been very attentive and patient as we worked out our choices. It seems the Peanut Butter Stout was an outstanding choice! Second place was the Port Orange Crush beer. We ordered two Half Wall half rack ribs, fish and chips, and what was described by the recipient as , "a marvelous tasting Half Wall burger!' It's a good atmosphere with lots of televisions and a very clean establishment with tons of beers on tap. The food is decent and the employees are nice... My one Big complaint is it's very expensive to drink here! Eight dollars and fifty cents for a beer is insane! We go to Half Wall a few times a month. When we went this time we were very disgusted. Our Server (G won't give her name) was rude and basically threw the food at us. We asked for ketchup and she looked at me like "are you kidding". Needless to say her tip was next to nothing. Now for the food. We got the Philly cheese steak (cause we used to love it). The sandwich was half the size and more money and we got a handful of fries. The food was terrible. I also get a Grasshopper (drink) and our lame waitress said we don't have that and when I told her we always get it she turned and walked away in a huff. I am so disgusted with the waitress and the place I don't think we will go back any more. Btw we walked in very happy as we had just heard from our kids. I just ordered the avocado burger with Gorgonzola cooked to medium rare and it was one of the best burgers I've had in this area. The server was great and took care of our table. The only issue and I don't let that affect my rating because it's all about the food to me was that it took a little long to get the food. I ordered take out after 9pm, which was nice since it was one of the only places open in Port Orange that late. I have zero complaints. The food was good, both the inside and outside were nice. I don't drink beer, but if you are a fan, I've never seen so many options in my life. I'd imagine a fan of beer would be like a kid in a candy store. I really enjoyed this restaurant. I would describe it as an upscale sports bar. They have plenty of comfy cushioned booths to sit at but we had six people so we chose a larger high top table. They are closer to the wall of beer and cider taps anyway. Our server was nice but not the expert on beer or some of the food items. She was fairly prompt and drinks came out kind of sporadic. I must say the food was very good. Most of us tried the burgers. Mine was cooked perfect medium rare and taste great. My sister had the wings that were large and plump. I did not taste them but they looked sticky and tasty. All in all I would go back and recommend others to check it out. read more

What an amazing burger. I moved to Florida 6 months ago and was in this area and decided to try it. Man I'm glad I did. From the homemade bbq to the brioche bun and the sauté onions. Without making it seem like they are hovering. The place is clean and big enough to be socially distanced if that's your worry. We used to love this place. The service is still good but- the last 2 times we ordered the pretzels with beer cheese, the beer cheese came out cold and curdled. It was disgusting. It boggles my mind how they even serve that and bring it out looking like that. We also ordered the loaded nachos which came out with the same curdled cheese and they forgot to put the chili on it. It's like the cooks don't care and the servers don't check the food when they bring it out. We won't be back for a while. read more

She was rude and disrespectful. My husband, myself and his parents were looking to grab a drink and an appetizer. The bartender walked by us about 3 times before even acknowledging our presence. She was then annoyed by the fact that we wanted to order a drink...after sitting at the bar 15 minutes. The manager was not any better. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere but this bar. Excellent service and food! Bavarian pretzel with cheese sauce was outstanding. My wife and I split the jalapeño burger -- perfectly cooked. We were with friends so we also split the spicy fries, fried green tomatoes and the shrimp. Everything was great. My friend ordered the blackened Mahi sandwich said it was best he had ever had. This place was cool and awesome done sports watching. I think I counted 26 large 55" in TVs showing a plethora of sports games. The wings were yummy and large. The black and blue as well as fried pickle burgers were great. Madison was our waitress and was very attentive and friendly. The manager, Austin, was alwmso very politie. Would have given them 5 stars but had 4 sample beers which all tasted weird. Possibly taps need cleaning. Also the burgers took over 29 mins to come out and want busy. read more

Wow, when they asked me how I wanted my Ahi Tuna cooked, I should have know there was something wrong. I ordered 5 cheese mac n cheese and the ahi tuna, I got a seared piece of ahi steak (tough, not the app kind you usually order) and it tasted like a can of solid white albacore...as for the mac n cheese...? Unreal that you can blacken a piece of chicken and it still come out bland. Penne pasta with less than half a portion of sauce, so extremely dry. I'd rather eat a tuna sandwich and kraft macaroni box from the grocery store than spend $30 on this, what a disappointment. Unfortunately this place I can't recommend. As a local resident who enjoys craft beer I am disappointed that the priorities of this establishment have changed for the worse over the past year or more. As the pricing has continually increased, the management has continued to make it difficult for me to justify spending a premium. Who has 108 taps and refuses to clear a few ounces out of a tap to make sure the beer in your glass is fresh? Who charges 10% to 30% more for beer but doesn't care if the beer in the line has been stagnant for a day or more? Who will allow anyone who has never been there and may never come back to try samples but will not allow a repeat customer a sample because they are actually trying to make sure stale beer doesn't end up in an expensive full poor. The answer is The Half Wall Port Orange. As someone who was excited when this place opened and has been a loyal customer, I am sorry that the policies have gotten to the point where I can no longer recommend this place. Maybe they will change, but for now, if you are looking for a quality place to enjoy craft beer this is not it. Charging premium and not caring about the freshness of the product served isn't right so there are better options. read more

My husband and I love this place for how convenient their location is on Nova Rd., and also for how extensive their menu is! I first brought him here on his birthday for their peanut butter & bacon burger back in April, and we've revisited about 3-4 times since then. You can't go wrong with their spicy fries - tossed in a jalepeno oil and drizzled with sriracha mayo! As a vegetarian, I personally love being able to substitute their homemade black bean patty into the burger options! I finally ventured off their beer list a couple visits ago, and their Swedish fish martini is really, really yummy! I will say that I was disappointed with my Bavarian Pretzel and Guinness Cheese Sauce...because I was hoping for a delicious beer cheese sauce, and was given something more along the lines of queso. They have daily specials, and we're on the verge of designating Half Wall as our college football bar with their $3 domestic bottles Saturday special! A couple times that we've gone, it has seemed that the service was slow for how relatively un-packed the place was...but other than that, great place to have just around the corner! read more
