Rackbin Scottsdale is our new hang out. My husband and I go here nearly every weekend to challenge one another in pool, darts, Connect 4, bean bags, and whatever games are available. It is a very relaxed, fun, comfortable vibe. The staff is amazing! They got to know us as "Regulars" and are very respectful. They have fantastic service. They always make me feel special and welcome. The food is good. Drinks are great. It isn't too crowded, and I LOVE that. The crowd that does attend is a good mixture of cultures. Music isn't too loud, and they play a good assortment of music. Overall clean. The bouncer at the front denied my California ID, because it was vertical and not expired. After pulling up the Arizona liquor boards rules to prove him wrong- that Californians can use a vertical ID as long as it is not expired- he still denied my entry. This place.... ugh... The concept is perfect but the execution is just sad. Came in on a Friday night to meet my husband and his friend. The place was a dead. Maybe four other people in the entire place. So here we go... my husband arrives and the 5 women working took over 5 minutes to greet them while they stood at the bar and watched the staff play on their cell phones. They finally order a round of beers and grab a rack of balls to start their game. I enter roughly an hour and a half later. It's dead. Every person working including the security guard (minus kitchen staff) are on their cell phones... I wait for one of the severs to come over to take my drink order. Nothing for 30 minutes!!!! No kidding, no joking, I swear 30minutes!! Still nothing... not once the entire time while my husband or I were there (2 HOURS) did one person come up to us and ask if we needed anything!!! I'm sorry but that is just unacceptable! The vibe is similar to that of a strip club and the service ... well I think you get the point. The food? This is at least the fourth bar/concept at this location in the last three years. This new pool hall is clearly not one of those high end places, but they have 4 pool tables, an outdoor patio with a pool table and a limited menu that is pretty much a few chicken sandwiches, one burger and some finger foods. On a recent Wednesday night, the place was empty and I simply enjoyed one Bud light for four bucks. Right now, the place seems cold and empty inside with more of an industrial feel. The "Rack" theme is a nice double edge sword and good for marketing, but only time will tell if this location finally produces a winner. read more

This was my first time at the Rack but This place was the absolute worst experience. I am embarrassed for the quality of this establishment. My friends and I came here to play some pool. We got here at a non-busy hour on a Saturday evening; I table on the patio etc. we put ourselves on the wait list for pool. Waited over an hour to play pool. Which is fine, I understand people playing pool longer than the hour. So we finally began to play pool. There was our pool table and then a pool table next to us covered in a sheet that had been made into a table for people to drink. So we started to play pool and were told that we needed to wear our masks, meanwhile the "pool table" next to ours had 8 people who of which none of them were wearing masks. Zero explanation about how covid happens when you are standing up playing pool but apparently not when you are sitting at the pool table 3 feet's awa. So a man named "quigley" came over and started to assault my friend about her not wearing her mask. Not considering the fact that she had too much to drink and was spinning and needed a minute to breathe. He came over and proceeded to kick out our 10+ party. Even though 2 feet away there is a table of 8 not wearing their masks. It was inconsiderate and disrespectful for this one person to come over and completely kick out our whole group because of this upside down "mask requirement". The fact that this establishment directs their "mandates" at specific people instead of the whole establishment is disgraceful. either make rules for everyone or no one at all. I will never give business to this establishment again knowing that their business and employees do not know how to be on the same page. If you are going to mandate masks mandate them for every person. An absolute disappointment and a terrible app at to end the good night we were all having. read more

Been here a few times but came here recently and they the changed the menu, the new one is 100/10! The food is incredible, especially for bar food. The lady's I've met, channel, Hailey, and Emily, are so fun and bring great energy to this place! They've never served a bad drink and very quick with their service. Just as many other establishments do, this one fails to capitalize on the science of restaurants and bars to generate a memorable experience for its patrons and a healthy profit for the owners. One bartender, too much bar. One cocktail waitress. She's never asked me if I would like something to drink. Miserable quality of pool cues. Cracked chalk. Broken tips. Warped cues. Poorly maintained pool tables with plastic pockets and no ball return (the only good part is that the tables aren't coin-op crappy bar tables,) balls aren't polished, felt is worn, but not too fast. No regulation size tables, unfortunately. Years of shooting pool at many of the valley's pool halls puts this at about a 4 out of 10 for pool and a 2 out of 10 for service. I've been here 3 times because it's where Dream Dealers is having its weekly free Monday night poker tournament. If it weren't for that, I would not come back. Im a first time mom so i don't know all the rules on wether you can have your baby in a pool haul or not but according to Rack you can't. Im not upset about being told to leave, im upset about how your security/bouncer handled it. Not only did he smack his fist into his hand the whole time he was talking to me, he then proceeded to follow me out and stare me down as i walked to my car. Not once did i argue or raise my voice to him and yet he was being aggressive towards me and my 3 month old baby. This is the first time I've ever been here and i will NEVER come back due to the fact that your security made me feel unsafe. If you want to play pool on a Saturday night, but don't want to eat until "the chef gets in sometime between 8 and 9" (this is literally what I was told a few moments after being given a menu), don't want to drink the beer you chose because they're out of it (I don't know how they ran out; the place is dead), smell the scent of the delicious food at Brat Haüs next door and remember that you have to wait until BETWEEN 8 and 9 to eat at your current location, want to wait five minutes to get your ID back from the worst bartender in the history of alcohol (with a sh*t attitude to boot) only to have the other bartender help you because she is not bad at her job, and you don't want to eat until THE CHEF SHOWS UP BETWEEN 8 AND 9, then this is the spot for you. I went about a month or so ago with some friends. I purposely did not open a tab because i did not want to spend or drink that much. I'm not sure if this is a normal thing or not but my card was charged an extra $12 after I left that night. I monitor my bank account closely so luckily i caught it right away and put a claim in with my bank. Overall i had a nice time and the staff was nice. Awesome place to chill and play pool. Four full-size tables and a few smaller. Chanel is a super cool bartender who is actually interested in pool. Rather than some person bartending just because it's a job. Only issue I would ask them to change is to invest in more pool cues. They have literally 20-30 but 98% of those are broken and crooked. The owner basically took the layout of the old restaurant that used to be here...added some cheap-looking pool tables, painted the walls a dreary grey, and opened up the doors. The place has no personality at all. It's supposed to be some chill pool hall but instead you hear the typical annoying Top 40/club music blaring from the speakers. Alright. Let me start here, CHANEL!!! One of the best bartender/servers I've encountered in years and I was in the service industry for damn near two decades. Ok, so we were just looking for a light bite for lunch and we walked past Rack not thinking this would be place we eat so we decided to come in and at minimum ask to see a menu. Menu was typical bar food from the looks of the menu but what got us to stay was Chanel..she's legit the magic of this place. Nice, personable, and EXTREMELY kind. So we sat and decided to have lunch. Didn't have our expectations up high at all since we were in a bar but the food was FANTASTIC! Like, in what world does a bar actually has good food? RACKS, RACKS HAS GOOD FOOD!! We've been in town for three days and this so far has been our best experience. Chanel was again the best! Also, the music is catchy and the other patrons seems extremely friendly...however, it is 3p. Not sure what the night life is like here but if Chanel is here, it'll be a great time. read more

Came in for a friend's birthday party and was pleasantly surprised. Megan helped us behind the bar and was very helpful in explaining the differences between the well and the next level. Rack is a nice, chill environment and a fun place to hang out with friends without the craziness of Downtown Scottsdale. The owner was friendly and helpful and the bartender, Michelle, made some great cocktails that you wouldn't expect from a billiards venue. Awesome customer service! Recently came for a bachelor party- we called the day before to see if we could come a couple hours before opening because it would fit best with our schedule. Ed the owner/manager was happy to make it happen. Extremely good rates and overall couldn't have asked for a better experience. We had buckets of beers and played pool and darts. OK guys, you can do better. Sweep up the turds in the front patio. Pick up the litter out front. Get ping pong tables that are level. Find something unique and be the best at it. i.e., the cheapest happy hour, the best Ruben in town, more taps than anyone else, 1970s rock music at the right volume. But clean this place up.
