Hey this place is cool. Driving around the area and I remember hearing about Rad Coffee multiple times. We figured since we're in the area we should stop by. Found parking down the way and we were ready to try this place out! We waited in line for a bit but went by fairly quickly. They were taking orders faster than making the coffee, and the place is pretty small so we were a bit packed inside, but you can tell the baristas were doing their best to push out drinks as quick as possible. There's a lot going on and it was neat to browse the cool merchandise such as collectible stickers, mugs, socks, etc. I really enjoyed the iced vanilla latte, but the Dracula was SO GOOD. I was not expecting it to be that delicious. I found myself sipping that one more than the iced coffee. We were happy that we got one light coffee and one specialty blend to balance each other out. This place reminds me of Melted Vinyl in Brea, very youthful grungy vibe. Nice staff, and pretty quick service. I had the Spanish latte iced and it was a bit unusual, as it didn't have a signature cinnamon flavor, instead it was more mocha tasting and was very sweet, not bread but not what I was expecting. Nice downtown upland with cute small businesses. They serve vegan baked goods of your into that. For me it just didn't hit the spot, but YMMV. read more

Rad Coffee is exactly that -- RAD!!! The drink menu is so creative and artistic, the drinks are absolutely spectacular, and the ambiance of the shop is overall awesome! The line is almost always out the door and that speaks volumes to how amazing this place is! (I am a typical regular here too, so I can attest to the line being long on a regular basis) The decorations in the shop are also rad to match the aesthetic of the drinks. This little hole in the wall is perfect for so many different types of people -- emo, pop punk, horror fanatic, skaters, goths, upland hipsters -- you name it! I love how all inclusive this place is and so many different types of people run through here but all of the staff are so kind and non judgemental. I absolutely love that! Im actually very sad to write this review, but I feel its important to inform customers and specifically rad coffee about how badly this company has gone downhill. I used to get my coffee here daily in 2020 when I worked down the street. I came by today for the first time in 5 years, and wow, this place has gone downhill badly. They removed all the chairs and seating inside, as well as not allowing customers to use the bathroom. I drove far out of my way to visit my old favorite coffee shop, and I will never return. The coffee was not as good as it used to be, the straws they have are too small and get clogged, making a drink undrinkable while driving. Its as if the business just does not care anymore. They opened multiple spots and now just dont care about customers. Rad coffee used to be an awesome hangout full of people. Now they essentially push you out as soon as they get your money. No restroom? No seating to drink my coffee? This just feels like a cash grab now. Its quite sad. Maybe new owners? Or just greedy people? But very sad. Customer service was ok, not the worst, but not welcoming either. I do not recommend, and I will never be returning to this location or any others. read more

I came here with my girlfriend who got the Mango Mango drink. I didn't take a picture of her drink just because there was nothing special about it. However, I think one of the coolest things about this place is the aesthetic and branding they have going on as they have cool designs with the interior of the store as well as with clothing and many of the food and drink options. Also, the service wasn't special or anything and it did feel like they were rushing us to get out of there, but generally it was decent service. While my girlfriend got the Mango Mango drink, I got the Cookies N' Scream. The Mango Mango was a little bitter and just tasted like your average green tea drink but with an overpriced cost. On the other hand, the Cookies N' Scream was slightly better but again tasted like it was overpriced for the size and taste. I only wish the drinks tasted as good as they sound or look because my drink looked really cool, but simply put, the flavor just wasn't there. I would say it's worth a try to at least go there once simply because of the cool looking drinks, but flavor wise there are better options. Found this place on Yelp and would definitely recommend! Such a dope punk-rock/skate/horror coffee shop with creative drinks that taste amazing. Truly an awesome concept. I've been to both this location and the one in Covina. Out of the two I would definitely recommend the one in Covina (sorry) based off of size and service. The staff in Covina was so nice and helpful and seemed genuinely happy to work there. I think my expectations for this place were way too high. I was expecting stellar coffee, and perfect service. However given the busy atmosphere I am guessing the barista taking the orders was rushing to get through as many people as possible that the service he gave me felt short and dismissive despite the fact that I was genuinely here to purchase coffee beans, k-cups, stickers and of course coffee. It was my first time here. Now I know they are famous for thier instagrammable cookies and cream blended drink. But i decided to gamble on thier lavender vanilla cold brew. Sadly, I thought it was ok. It had more of a vanilla taste than lavender and the coffee was borderline acidic. I guess I was expecting a stronger taste. It felt flat. The atmosphere however, was perfect. It had a punk rockability feel that is different from other coffee shops in the so cal area. Given the area is a bit far from my stomping grounds, i dont think i will be back anytime soon. But from the local who just walked by me he "likes to come here twice a day because he needs his caffiene." So who knows maybe the k-cup and coffee beans I bought will make up for the cold brew. This is definitely a hot spot in the Downtown Upland area that I'm so proud of! My husband knows that I'm always going to ask to pop-in when we are in the area for a dessert coffee. If you blink, you'll miss this cool spot driving down the street (as the store front and signage is not huge). But once you step inside you'll always find a revolving line and lots of cool rock memorabilia on the walls. It brings me back to my HS days! The drinks are made quick and fresh to order. I'm not picky about my coffee and I typically end up ordering the ice blended dessert-esq drinks (e.g. the Bride, Cookie Monster, etc.). This is a small ecclectic punk decor'd coffee shop in Downtown Upland area. Wall's are plastered with old school punk bands, poster's, skateboards and all things punk. I ended up ordering a Sea Salt Caramel Cold Brew coffee ($5.50 160z) which, in my opinion, didn't have as much cold brew as I wanted and tasted a bit watered down. My wife on the other hand ordered a Blood Orange hot tea ($2.00 12 oz) which she said was not bad. There are also lots of specialty drinks that are made here, like blended drinks with cereal toppings, and I think some desserts and pastries. Service is somewhat quick. Seating is limited to about maybe 6 tables inside and two tables outside and it tends to get busy. There is plenty of parking if you make it before the rush. Overall a cool vibe, but the cold brew coffee that day just missed the target. If I'm in the area, I might drop in again. read more

This was a stop over for us. First off, the place is small but has a lot of character. It was what a sleepy town needs. Unfortunately, the coffee had a sour aftertaste, same goes with the matcha despite the oat milk. Matcha was clumpy as well. Service could be better. They have a very diverse menu; from your standard cup of drip coffee to fun blended drinks with colored whipped cream. There's a lot of stores around this area, and there is a walking area. I got a 16 ounce of vanilla lavender iced coffee.
