A nasty D.O. . I walked out of her office after 5 minutes. I had facial numbness from an operation…read moreon my trigeminal nerve at the Mayo clinic on 6/2/2023. I was told this was a possibility beforehand, and while disappointed felt no ill will towards Mayoand their neurosurgical team. I made an appointment with a neuroligist through Advocate Lutheran General for possible followup care. Dr. Wagle was the only neurologist who was quickly available (tells you something right there). Before she even sat down, she was quite nasty (I didn't know why at the time). She didn't ask me why I was even there. The hospital I had the MVD surgery at (St. Mary's - Rochester) had a preliminary accident (an IV 'blowout) which while not related to the facial numbness had caused my right hand to lose all sensation and proprioception for over 24 hours following the cranial surgery. I taught 400 level pre-med students at SIU-C when I was a graduate student in a Masters program (I was righting a thesis in neuro-physiology). As a result I knew losing the use of my right hand for a full day after an operation on the 5th cranial nerve was not to be expected, and there was no warning before the operation. Among other bad outcomes I was warned about, my possible death was a possibility. I asked the neurosurgeon why the next day on his rounds, and having no personal knowledge of the IV 'blowout' suggested i "may have slept on that hand', at which point I blew up. I knew his explanation was B.S. - He made a note of my angry response in my record (available to osteopath Wagle thru the EPIC system). I have apologized to the neuro-surgeon at Mayo, and received a message from the neuro-surgeon in Rochester showing his concern and relief when the explanation of my right hand becoming useless for a couple of days following the pre-op 'blowup' . His notes on my reaction the next day have been removed. Dr. Wagle it turns out not only read the initial neurosurgeon's notes regarding my 'outburst', but never disclosed to me that she had spent a year at Mayo's on a neuro fellowship, and worked with the neurological staff there. I was struck by another 1 star review posted here that quotes Ms. Wagle as telling him "I get a bad vibe from you', which I couldn't understand at the time. I started to get up and leave when she did ask why I was there.(her assistant was present). I said I asked if they could monitor any change in the facial numbness (per the original neurosurgeon's advice). As I was getting up to leave, D.O, Wagle turned to her assistance and gave the visual equivalence of saying "I told you so. After researching D.O. Wagle's association with Mayo (and her totally unwarranted immediate antagonism towards me) , I figured out she thought I was apparently trying to establish grounds for a lawsuit. I never had any intention for any legel actions. Wagle put a warning to other health care providered in the 'EPIC' message system used to warn other doctors about percieved 'malcontents' like myself. She has since modified her EPIC content concerning our encounter, apparently after reading the Mayo doctor's revision. AVOID THIS DOCTOR!

I have been…read moreto many(more than i care to count) doctors in the past 4 years and have had some terrible and disappointing experiences. Most disappointments due to my own expectations, but none the less, i have learned Dr.s' are human. Some more intelligent, and compassionate than others, but still human. Dr. Wagle is in the the very intelligent and compassionate class. She gets down to business. Her seriously intense focus, and need for factual health issues was quite impressive. Questions u would assume would not be asked, were asked. She is very thorough. Characteristics of a true professional. Along with the rest of her wonderful polite staff. Before posting my review i took a gander at the previous posts from others. From my own personal experience, i was expecting 5 stars across the board. I was shocked to find such negative reviews by select individuals.(Low Star ratings reveal these mentioned individuals/victims) So I Must express. In my opinion, a great DO, will avoid costing u unnecessary cost in repeat testing. Especially when u r paying out of pocket. Hmmm.... Also, if someone has been to a couple dozen Dr.s' in a 25 yr span, and they still have chronic symptoms. I Think it would take a super hero to fix u up in a jif. Expectations r a viable tool, when used in accordance with Reality. So Dr. Wagle, thank you for your dedication, and will to go beyond required duties. U are very compassionate and bring a great warmth to each visit. Thank u, again and again. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind, that when u r behind the neuro wheel, u will always go down the right paths. Until next time, Keep up the great work. 12 stars hands down. (7 extra for the ones fellow reviewers so selfishly forgot, or kept for themselves).

Having to wait FOUR months to see my physician has me a little peeved today…read more I was in there yesterday to see Kelly Ann; who conferred with my physician and they decided I needed to get to the emergency room, pronto! Great, woo hoo. I was told to follow up with my physician, NOT a NP or PA; so, I called today to make an appointment; he's not available until January. Ha ha ha - JANUARY to see my ACTUAL MEDICAL DOCTOR. What is going on here? This is the second doctor of mine to join up with some other company and well, frankly, like I mentioned in a different review, I don't like change when it comes to my medical care/team.

I saw Dr. Nikita Gore there (only 2nd visit)  after suffering sudden severe pain in the left knee…read morewhich had been improving with rest.  While I was seated in a chair, she examined my knee briefly and stated I had arthritis.  Using the suggestions of a Pain Management physician, I performed weight-bearing exercises for arthritis.  The next day I was unable to stand on my left leg due to severe pain and had to use a walker. I read the doctor's notes which stated she had performed instability tests that were negative.  She had performed none.  When I mentioned that to her, she stated she would repeat them.  I told her that I was never in a supine position and tests were not performed. If they had been done, the resultant pain would have indicated injury to the meniscus. I then tried to get a 2nd opinion.  One doctor refused to see me based on her notes as he said he would give the same advice.  I finally found a doctor at another facility who saw me, examined my knee and ruled out arthritis.  I had an MRI which revealed a meniscus tear which I had suspected due to the site of the pain, as well as a Baker cyst.   I am a senior and my experience led me to believe that we are an expendable group.  Entering notes that are completely false rises to malpractice.  I have no doubt there are excellent doctors at this facility but I'm done with them.  Of course with the MRI results I will be giving feedback to the facility.   Naturally they sent me a bill and want their money.  I may have to pay after fighting it, but at least I will be rid of them.

The man at the front desk was extremely rude to me and kept interrupting me over and over again telling me to wait outside and would not let me get a word in to explain the situation. I completely understand the reasoning for being outside but I did not appreciate the way I was spoken to and felt greatly disrespected by this man. I cannot stress how upsetting it was to have this interaction. He needs to work on being kinder and more welcoming if he is going to be the one at the front desk. I ended up leaving and walking out before my appointment because I wasn't going to sit there and be treated like that. I hope that he at least gets spoken to about this. Will never come back here again.

The young doctor I got doesn't seem to have read my file or done any reading on my conditions, and outright dismissed several suggestions I made. It felt like "you're old get over it", kind of deal. I have several chronic conditions, including a serious side effect from a medicine prescribed by my endocrinologist, who also left the practice shortly after accepting me as a patient. I have received virtually no help in managing them, instead being bounced from specialist to specialist; I might as well not have a PCP. My sense is that these PCP's are seeing so many patients, and given so little time to consider or discuss, that they aren't able to keep up with driving the bus on coordinating patient care. Add to that their terrible phone system, and what seem to be poorly trained office and insurance teams, and I'm sad to say that I suggest you get health care at a different practice.
