Service and food was very good. Steaks grilled just the way we wanted.There was no wait time.

Tim was our bartender/server and he was great! He was very attentive to us and all of his other guests. The food was really good. I had salmon and hubs had a giant club sandwich, wow! The restaurant and bathrooms were very clean. I was really happy that when I asked for salt and pepper and he brought me the packets. I have been to other restaurants that still keep the shakers on the tables and that's disgusting as you know they don't sanitize them after every use. It what you expect for what it is. My prime rib was fatty and a bit under seasoned. The daughters food was cold.

Well this place was good but they did not give me enough BREAD! And my fork, spoon, and knife were dirty as well as my napkin! The food wasn't the best but our server was nice if you wanna go sure but it's pretty expensive for all of those flaws. read more

It's been several years since I've got to eat at one of these but I can tell you it's went down hill badly! Taste of food wasn't there, dipping sauces where water downed, ribs where hard and tastes like they've been sitting under a heating lamp all day. Rafferty's has high quality food that is quite good. This is good old fashioned American fare. I have been here 25+ times over the last 6 years, and every time the food has been good. I can say that I've only had one service issue in 2008. The baked potato soup and the chicken Alfredo dish are both excellent. Their steaks are good too. I can't say that I've ever had anything here that was not good. I've found them to be slightly more expensive than I'd like them to be, but they aren't outrageous by any standard. I'd love to see a kids night with a discounted or free kids meal. Otherwise, quite good. read more

We hadn't visited Rafferty's in years, because the service had gone downhill. We took my Mom there for Mother's Day and we're thoroughly impressed! The staff was friendly. The food was delicious and the drinks were excellent. I think it's the best steak in Jackson! The parking is excellent and the restaurant is nice and clean. We had the prime rib. Me and my husband ordered them medium rare but they came rare. I tried to just eat it anyway but finally ask for them to throw it back on the grill, they did so and quickly brought it back. The salad and prime rib were good. Our server was good and efficient. It was a busy restaurant and we were passing through. The host girl wasn't very friendly and had a frown most of the time.. she needed to smile and be more nice I thought. We had a great meal. Staff was friendly and competent. I ordered a beer and needed to show ID! I'm 77, but apparently there are teens in Jackson using the IDs of Senior Citizens Walked out of the Blacksmith Bar & Grille, not because I was asked for ID, which was a temporary TX license, but because server took 10 minutes to come back and say they couldn't accept it. (My passport card was in the car.) I at first thought the guy at Blacksmith was kidding, since he didn't come back. After the delay there was no apology, no explanation, no personality or friendliness!! It wasn't as if they were busy. Only one other table occupied. Maybe his I don't care attitude explained a shortages customers? I appreciate his - not sure what to call it - attitude? By leaving there we got to enjoy our meal at Rafferty's!! We had the open face Prime Rib and California Berger. Barb's baked potato looked great, but I loved my fries. My wife and I ate here driving through Jackson March 29, 2019. We had read about it on Yelp and were in the mood for barbecue. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. I had a combo meal of ribs and chicken. The ribs were small and not very well seasoned. The chicken with cheese on it was bland and very tough, as if it was seriously overcooked. My wife's chicken fingers were pretty good but the pork was not very good. All in all we were surprised at the good reviews it has received. We won't be back. read more

While traveling through Jackson TN we called in an order for two orders of Prime Rib. During a rain storm about 15 minutes later I left the hotel and pulled up into their "Take Out" parking and went in to find our food order ready. I double checked it before leaving and found it as it should be paid and was back in our hotel in under 20 minutes from the time we ordered. The portion was 12 ounce and was medium rare as expected. The Idaho russet was loaded and had great flavor. The salad was a generous portion, fresh and crisp. The cut of meat was lean and flavorful and included au jus, very delicious spicy hot horseradish. Not really sure a to go order of prime rib could have been much better but I give four stars because I believe there is always room for improvement. Well done Rafferty's !!! read more

You park your car and gi in a small room that other to-go customers collect and congregate in. When I was there staff weren't even wearing gloves or masks. My family of 7 has been eating lunch here every 3rd Sunday since Covid hit trying to eat and spend money locally and today was the worst service we've ever had anywhere in my adult life. After waiting for 30 minutes and clearing the waiting area I asked to be split to sit sooner and 20 minutes later and several tables being sat I asked for the manager. Then after 10 minutes we were crammed into a table designed for 5. Our large table came available before our drinks arrived and they never asked us to move, just gave it away immediately. Then the table next to us became available and again, no one asked and they sat someone there immediately. The manager was aware and was useless during this whole process. Rafferty's whole experience is wonderful. A very warm atmosphere with very friendly staff who serve professionally. It has a nice patio for the warmer seasons and more than enough televisions for entertainment while waiting on your meal. It can carry high volumes of guests while still remaining spacious. Good food and decent service, but we had group of 5 and while I saw a table that would've accommodated us they seated us in a way that one of our party was sitting in the aisle. This restaurant was once at the top of the list in Jackson Tennessee, but somehow quality and service has totally disappeared. The hostess was extremely unfriendly and seemed to be so bothered that she was having to do something job related . Our server did a decent although she couldn't answer basic questions about the restaurants food . The food was decent taste wise but definitely not worth the price we were charged for it . After a short time they brought back the same steak just cooked more. There steak is one of the best I've eaten so far and there wait staff goes above and beyond. They have no issues fulfilling last minute requests. They come by just often enough to make sure you're doing alright but don't bother you every 5 minutes. They also play awesome background music and have several televisions read more

We were here on a slow Monday, an hour before closing. Our waitress made sure we were well taken care of. She brought us numerous refills, and did it before it even came to our minds. She was wonderful! I had the tossed chicken tenders with garlic ranch dipping sauce and hand cut fries. The portions were more than generous, and everything was very tasty. The hand cut fries were my favorite! I ordered honey mustard dipping sauce and it did not disappoint either.
