RAG & BONE Something is TERRIBLY wrong with this company. I have spent 2-3k a year on their clothes for the past 8 years Leather Jackets, Jeans, pants, and $150 knit tshirts ( I own 20 of them), which used to be good quality. Now, my $220 jeans have worn through in 6 months, they no longer make the tshirts, but it gets worse. The sales staff in their stores are uniformly rude (Lamar in Greenwich store is the single worst salesperson I've ever encountered). And now, the coup de grace - every return I've made is STATED as taking "7 business days", but every return I've made takes 3 weeks and an email to INITIATE the return PLUS AN ADDITIONAL 3-5 days " To post to your account" . This is absolute BS - Are you in some kind of financial trouble??? Customer service now does NOT sign or state their names. I AM DONE WITH THIS P.O.S. Company read more

Worst ever customer experience here bar none months ago that I still think about because of how insane it was. Bought my dream pair of R&B very specific jeans and took them to the store to be hemmed. The manager, Joie, did not even know how to explain to me the difference between the two types of hemming done in store, which was frustrating, but eventually I made a decision and was told they would be mailed to me. After nearly two weeks I had to follow up to ask where they were and was told they would arrive, not to worry. I then received someone else's jeans in the mail. I called to notify them and they realized that they had mislabeled the jeans/swapped two orders and my jeans were still "en route" but would turn up and they could make the swap back when that happened. Days passed and I had to follow up again, this time asking that they check the tracking number as it seemed unlikely two people living in the same city would receive packages nearly a week apart. They then informed me that my jeans had "gone missing" but they could replace them for me and for me to please mail my incorrect jeans back. I hear nothing for another week+. I call again to inquire where the replacement jeans are and am told no one has placed an order for them but they will find some and they will call me. Nothing for days. I follow up again. They say that the pair are sold out almost everywhere but they have found one pair in Arizona that are one size larger and that they have been put on hold for me. I call again a few days later and they say that sorry, for some reason the pair put on hold for me in AZ have been sold and there is simply nothing they can do. At this point, the entire line of the pants are sold out and there is no way for me to get the jeans. After all this, it still takes me 3 calls to the store to get them to do the bare minimum of refunding me for the jeans they lost. I loved those pants so much I regularly look for them on ebay hoping a pair will turn up. An absolutely insane process with Joie throughout and there was no sense of customer service or even apology. read more

This Rag & Bone location is top notch. The employees are friendly always quick to help without being annoying. The store manager is knowledgeable and really goes out of his way to help the customer. The store itself is always clean, well-organized, and spaced nicely. It's because of the customer service here that I will keep coming back to shop at this store. I went to a department store and tried a beck jean but they didn't have my size. I went to this store and not only did they have my size they were also on sale and they had so many washes. I bought 2 and I am obsessed! The beck jean is the perfect crop cut! Please keep this style bc I will be coming back for all the washes. This R&B is currently under some kind of construction behind it's store. Therefore, parking is across the street, but don't be lazy yelpers and take the FREE parking in WeHo!! I am a sucker for R&B's jeans, nothing else at the moment. Some how in general terms their size 0 (24) is a perfect fit that hugs my curves nicely with enough snug while other brands' size 0s are just way way too big for me. I know, I know, don't hate me. I eat like an elephant and I pack in all the carbs and sweets and I just have great genes I guess....haha. The people working in this store are very nice and attentive, but not pushy. That's how I like it. Once you push, I am gone. I guess that's one way of saving and not to break my bank, LOL. Any alterations on jeans is included in the price(please check. What to say. From the set up walking in, to the customer service before, during and AFTER, it was 5+ all the way through. Everybody there seemed genuinely nice and more than willing to help to make your shopping experience amazing. I'm the worst with names sometimes, but Reagan, John, Mallory, Matt and everybody there went over and beyond. As a result, R&B Melrose will be one of my go-to's. read more

I don't understand the bad reviews. Especially the ones about the sales people. Even on the phone they went out of their way to help me. I'm not even a customer who spends the kind of money that would make salespeople who are stand off ish be nice. They are JUST nice. But then so an I. My approach is always respectful. I have done this job, it's not easy to make everyone happy every time. They have done price adjustment over the phone and accommodated a return and exchange, even if they didn't have to. Holiday shopping on Melrose! I love this time of year and this is a nice area to look for holiday gifts. rag & bone is my favorite jeans company. They are always on trend and comfortable and will last you forever. The jeans are pricy but they do have 30% off sales from time to time. I popped in on Saturday and found the most amazing high-waisted skinny jeans. The staff was very friendly and helpful plus there was a ton of great stuff on sale. The women's selection is downstairs and the men's is upstairs. The changing rooms are huge and comfy too! read more

Great store with a beautifully laid out interior. Rag & Bone on Melrose is one of my favorite places to shop. Their clothes are not only stylish, but very well made. I love just about everything they sell. This store has pretty much everything that's available from a given season, jeans, shoes, dress shirts, casual shirts, accessories and scents. I'm really into their new line of cologne/perfumes and this store has them all to sample. The only issue I have shopping here is that when you go anywhere in the store, there's a sales person standing behind you about 5 feet away. Even when the ask if you need any assistance and you say no, they stay nearby and keep a close eye on you. They never leave you by yourself to explore which is kind of off putting but not so bad that makes you want to leave the store. read more

My mother purchased me a pair of the iconic Newbury boots a couple of years (yes, a couple of years - they've been very gently worn 50+ times) ago for my birthday....enter, Thanksgiving a few weeks ago in Portland - I'm taking my boots off for the night and the pull tab's metal triangular design BREAKS - oh no! (Especially big oh-no, because, despite the zipper itself not being stuck, the zipper didn't want to unzip without a pair of pliers and a very strong fiance.... I return home a few days later, thinking I'll take the broken pull tab to my outstanding & muy expensivo cobbler (but totally unsure how he'll repair it, because the triangular design is unique to R & B and was likely broken beyond repair - anything he would have had to do would have changed the design/appearance) and decide to give the store a call with my query...they say, 'bring it in, we'll send it off to repair' - to which I say, amazing! (But it's 2 weeks before Christmas & I live in a different county....may I ship them to you?! And, of course, R & B says a hearty 'yes'.) I pack 'em & ship 'em to WeHo & promptly hear from the store 24 hours later - we have them, here is a pic & they're off to the cobbler! (Already?! Wow!) Then, the cobbler sends me pics, has them a whopping 3-4 days, and they're sent back to me with a tracking number. About 2 hours ago, they arrived to my doorstep. So, within 9 days, boots shipped to LA, LA to NY, NY back to me, with me apprised of the process the whole way. You apparently pay for quality & in return, get excellent goods & service to accompany. Jason in the men's department is the man! He is a great guy who knows everything that needs to be known about rag n bone. I came in wanting to completely update my wardrobe and I sure did. I found some amazing clothes that look cool and even more importantly very comfortable. Jason was able to find some good finds for me too which I did get a few of those as well. The stores set up is very cool and not confusing. The fitting rooms are very roomy, I would literally say almost the size of a bedroom and they have charger outlets for your phone while you are shopping or trying out clothes. I am a huge fan of this brand and now this specific store as well! read more

I'm one of those guys that gets it in his mind that he needs something and then relentlessly searches for it until it is found. Lately that something has been striped T-shirts. A few weeks ago, I saw a beautiful, striped, thin cotton Rag and Bone T-shirt at Barney's, but I was in a rush and didn't purchase it. Flash forward. I called Barney's today to put a few on hold but they were sold out. My sales dude over there recommended I call the R&B store. Good call, because I had forgotten that they'd opened up on Melrose. Kevin Caldwell answered the phone and informed me that not only did they have the shirt in stock, but it was on sale for more than half off! They had my size. They had different colors. They had Method Man on in the background. Good sign, again. I found the shirt I wanted and was undecided about a few other colors, so I consulted with Kevin. This is where Kevin's true gift for personal shopping emerged. After a patient look at each of the colors on me, Kevin came up with a great way of looking at it: even though the cobalt blue was good looking, it looked a bit too 'kiddy' on me. This was almost exactly what I was thinking, and it showed that he truly knows how customers of all age ranges think, and what might be going through their head in a clothing purchase. The coral, however, was awesome, a different pattern from the other T-shirt I was buying, and looked great, fresh and confident. He could easily have recommended buying both, but instead he took the more honest and well-reasoned option, even if it meant $95 less in sales. And as such, he earned a faithful customer and impressed me with the kind of attention Rag and Bone provides to its customers. Now being a visual artist, I can talk about colors for days on end, but it is always very difficult to be objective when those colors are going to be on my body, under my leather jacket or blazer. Just left the Rag & Bone store, and had a fantabulous experience there. Even though I'm a huge Rag & Bone fan, I've never been to the actual store. I typically get their clothes from Barney's or Neiman Marcus, however, I've been super curious to visit their actual store for a wider selection of goodies. Some of the previous reviews worried me a bit, I felt little like I might be walking into a ticking shopping time bomb of potentially rude and aloof sales reps, but my desire to check out their clothing selection won out over my worry of a bad shopping experience. I found metered parking on the street, but then when walking to the store, I realized they do have a parking lot for the store behind it. Next time I will save my quarters and make use of that. I was promptly and warmly greeted by Evy as soon as I walked in. She helped with some jean selection, I feel like I *almost* own all the pants they have.. I have a jean addiction. Somehow when I was checking out I got into an "Over Sharing" mood and started talking about how I have social anxiety and shopping trips are really typically not fun and anxiety filled, but was pleasantly surprised with how it all went...was comfortable and mellow. Since I talked about being such a recluse, Evy actually gave me her phone number in case I ever wanted to escape from my reclusive mode and hang out. How sweet is that? I mean seriously, I'm pretty sure that isn't part of the Rag & Bone job description, that's just plain ole being awesome. Thumbs up from me all around, love this brand and had a really good customer service experience here, and I will definitely be back, but of course next time I'll skip the meter hunt and park in the handy dandy lot they have. As a side note and worth mentioning because I drink an insane amount of coffee and am always on the hunt for the nearest restroom, they do actually have a restroom in the store. My favorite boutique on Melrose! I stopped in today with my wife and our pup Coco and I have to say...it was a phenomenal experience. Tara welcomed us into the boutique, asked if we were looking for anything in particular and made herself available to us. Even though my initial intention was to window shop, I took up conversation with Tara about the Cruella collaboration (which I did not know existed and wish I would have!) after I saw a top hanging in The sale section. She instantly took me through all the remaining pieces from the collection and as soon as she said "there's also this leather jacket", I knew I was sold. A quick fitting room session later, some puppy playtime (which included a treat) and Needless to say, I bought the jacket. Tara and her team are courteous, genuine, and well understanding of their clients needs. My experience here was great. Went at the first time to look on their jeans. I found super nice stuffs here other than jeans. I love their pilot bags. I browse around and got to try the jeans and the staffs are so helpful and they were friendly too even at that time I ended not n buying anything. When I came 2days after and get to try on some different jeans, different sales rep but also nice and helpful. I bought a pair of jeans and def loving it. Went in on a Saturday to pick up a new pair of booties. The staff was warm/super helpful, but not overwhelming and I need that when I'm shopping because I'm incredibly indecisive. I probably tried on like 8 different pairs before I picked out the pair I wanted. Thanks for dealing with me Rag and Bone, I love my boots! Walked into the store to do a return on a belt that I chose not to keep due to finding a one of better liking at A.P.C. As I walked in there were three associates at the front register. One of the girls were standing in front of the register blankly staring at me as I asked if it would be alright to do a return. She didn't even budge until I stood at the front of the register for 10 seconds after I said "Excuse me, sorry" got a little awkward when she didn't say anything back. Terrible experience. They promised to hem the two pairs of jeans I bought and have them sent to where I was staying in LA in a couple of days. I heard nothing for a week. Then I called and was told they had lost the pants. They said they would send them to my actual house in New York "on a rush order". Again, I heard nothing for a week. When I called again, they said the tailor had been delayed. When I asked if anyone was going to tell me, they got very rude and basically told me to go to hell. If I could, I would give them zero stars. My partner and I were waiting for this store to open and were so excited to go. Walked in on a beautiful sunny Wednesday day started looking around and every employee just looked at us with a blank stare. We're we're looking around for about ten minutes and were never greeted once while the workers stood there with their pretentious attitudes. All in all, we will not be coming back here. Directly after we went to Bloomingdales and spent $3,000 dollars...about a thousand of that money went to the Rag & Bone department. Their loss, our gain! read more
