He comes when I call his name because of the training he received as a kitten. I could not be more appreciate for the quality of Rocky and support that I received from Amanda, the company owner. Everything was so smooth from start to finish and I love and adore all of his baby photos I received from Persian Kittens as well as the ones I have taken over the years. Do not hesitate to get your Persian from this breeder!

Do not purchase from this breeder. Purchased our kitten who came to us near death with an upper…read morerespiratory infection, pneumonia, parasites and feline herpes. After picking up our kitten, it was evident how terribly ill he was. Would not eat, would not drink, would not use the litterbox. We immediately made an appointment with our vet for which he was severely underweight at 1.5lbs for a 10-week-old kitten. Our vet immediately gave him antibiotics and high caloric canned wet food and also needed fluids under the skin. He needed to be syringe fed which he did not take well at first. We brought him back to the vet as he was still wheezing, sneezing and lethargic. They put him on another antibiotic and nebulized him. We were told that we needed to administer the syringe feedings as well as give him antibiotics twice daily and nebulize twice daily. This Woman Elise Fetcho who calls herself a professional breeder lives in a terrible environment of hoarding with deplorable conditions for Cats and Kittens to be exposed to. The overpowering stench of Cat urine was unlike anything we have ever been exposed to. When we told her of our kitten's terrible health, she did pay our first vet appointment which was $285 range and agreed to pay the remaining vet bill of over $700 to us but asked me if we could allow her to pay $100 per week because she had no money. Funny how she had no money when we paid a total of $3500 for this Kitten. I have sent her Zelle requests for the remainder of the vet bills for which she paid 1 and has ghosted us on the remaining balance. Do not trust anything this person tells you as it is all lies and misrepresentation. She did offer for us to take the kitten back a few times but there was no way we would ever take that poor kitten back to that environment. We are happy to say that this kitten is alive and getting better every day with great supportive care and excellent vet care.

If you are at all hesitant in getting a Ragdoll kitten from Midwest Ragdolls based off of negative…read morereviews don't be! I have been scammed by a very good fake breeder. After that horrible experience we started searching for someone reputable. I already have two Ragdolls, but the breeder I got them from is way too far for me to drive since moving to Nashville. I was willing to drive back to the Chicagoland area if we found a great breeder. We did some research and Midwest Ragdolls came up. We contacted DR. Jennifer Creed regarding a seal mitted female, and she replied immediately that she had one for us. She is very reasonably priced. Although, communication wasn't the greatest when we initially requested photos, and other info., but she always sent us what we requested within a few days of asking. I'm going to be very transparent on this review because I wish someone had done this when I was reading reviews. A few things weren't making sense to me as far as age, and pickup of the kitten. I was very hesitant, and unsure if I would actually follow through with picking the kitten up on the date given based off of negative reviews I was reading during my 7 hour drive up to Chicago. I read that her kittens were malnourished, too early to go home, they weren't socialized well, and that she was using her veterinarian status to fool people. After looking at her website again, I noticed all the kittens, and adult cats looked healthy and well cared for. When I decided I was going to move forward and pick my kitten up I did just that. I can not emphasize enough how opposite those negative reviews are. DR. Creed has a beautiful property her kittens are born, and raised on. She was extremely welcoming, pleasant, knowledgeable, and my gorgeous seal mitted baby girl was perfect! She is extremely social, lovable, snuggly, playful, clean, and healthy. After, meeting Dr.Creed, I now know that the slight lack of communication wasn't intentional. She's a full time veterinarian, mom, and on the side breeds Ragdolls for the love she has for them. In all honesty, DO NOT second guess getting a Ragdoll kitten from Midwest Ragdolls. I promise you will not be disappointed.

One time I was over there, he attacked me for no reason whatsoever and left 8 puncture wounds on the back of my leg. The first cat I bought (littermate of friend's cat) was also extremely mean and had to be rehomed. Cat number 2 is still going, is healthy and lovable and amazing at 11. She came home from Jennifer's cattery extremely sick though with an obviously swollen and oozing eye, and spent her first few days with me in the ER. At her first vet visit, she weighed less than a pound. Jennifer said she was the only kitten in the litter and my vet said that often happens when the mom is bred too young. Cat 3 died of heart failure at 9. Despite having 3 out of 4 of Jennifer's cats not turn out well and the 4th being sick at pickup, I reached back out to her after my boy died. Her response was short and unfriendly and she offered zero information, wouldn't answer when I asked if she was breeding my dead cat's parents still. Then I contacted American Girlz Ragdolls to see what they were like and the woman who responded was patient, kind, warm, informative and responsive. She also extended her condolences about my cat's death; Jennifer didn't utter a word. Is it that hard to say "sorry your cat died", particularly when I paid you a grand for the cat and was expecting more time with him? Also, when I picked up my second cat (sick one), one of the turtles in Jennifer's tank was obviously dead (yikes). When I picked up the 3rd cat, she wasn't even home and I wasn't welcomed in. Her husband met me at the front door, handed the kitten to me, and said goodbye. When I decide to get a new kitten, we are going to American Girlz. They are far and away superior to what Midwest offers based on my experience, the experience of my friend, and the 4 cats we purchased from Midwest.

This weekend when I briefly visited with my parents and was gushing about the new pet hedgehog I…read morewas about to purchase, I found out something I only had a vague memory of. Apparently, I've loved hedgehogs since I was a little girl growing up in Germany from age 3-5. A different breed of these lives there like squirrels do here. I would approach these in hopes of becoming friends. Well, my mom always yanked me away as they would hiss at me, but now I've finally got one for a friend. Throughout the last couple years I've contemplated getting one, after reading the tale of fellow crafter Brandy Agerbeck's hedgie Numo in her hedgeblog for him. I had talked to Brandy about him and the more and more I thought about it, the more I realized that a hedgehog would be a great pet for me. Vickie and Gary made the transition of our hedgehog from their loving home to ours very easy. When Zachary and I went our to pick up our new pokey pal, they sat us down and explained the dos and don'ts of hedgehog ownership very carefully and then they actually showed me with the hedgehog after they had showed me using their personal hedgie Tootsie as a demonstration. They send each new owner home with a detailed guide in case you forget something. I find the internet a great resource, but when a hedgehog breeder shows you the way she has been breeding her babies for 13 years, that is something else. Though it's only been one day, Hoggle (see: Labyrinth) has already started showing some of his amazing personality. I'm really looking forward to this awesome bonding experience and there is no way this little guy would be this way without people as knowledgeable and friendly as the Jesters. NOTE: IF YOU HAVE THOROUGHLY RESEARCHED HEDGEHOG OWNERSHIP AND TRULY THINK THEY ARE A GOOD PET FOR YOU, THEN AND ONLY THEN CALL VICKIE TO BE PUT ON THE WAITING LIST. Hedgies are not a cheap pet, but our Snowflake Hoggle was worth every penny.

Very unpleasant experience for a first time hedgehog owner. I live in North Carolina so I bought my…read morehedgehog from a breeder in-state not having the time or money to schedule and pay to travel to IL to buy from Vickie. That being said, after much research I was under the impression that Vickie offered a great cage set-up for first time owners that would provide my spiky-boy with a great home. I've had him for about 2 months. He won't use the second level of the cage which (turns out) is too small to begin with. Without the second level he has almost no space. The "whisper wheel" that Vickie raves about is anything but whisper quiet and after following all advice that she gave me for how to fix it she blamed it on "the sound of my hedgehog running" when the sound the wheel has been making is more like what you hear at a construction site. Along with these issues, I found an up-to-date, comprehensive guide on hedgehog care (linked at bottom) that negates almost all of the claims Vickie makes about her cages, habitat set-ups, and the hedgehog kibble she promotes. All of this culminated with me asking for a partial refund of the $260 I spent so I could afford to buy my little guy an enclosure he would have more use for at which point she told me she has no kind of return policy for any of her merchandise which IS NOT specified anywhere on her website. Not only this, throughout the whole process she was slightly stand-offish if not completely rude at times and did not seem to be very professional when it came to running a business. I would NOT recommend buying a cage from this business. The snuggle sacks, toasty tents, and other accessories have proven to be very useful but I have also found cheaper versions of the same products in local pet stores (that I didn't have to pay shipping and handling for). I can't speak to her breeding experience or the hedgehogs she sells however.
