I was referred to him by my doctor after experiencing a swollen throat that I couldn't fight off. Within seconds of examining he knew what to do. I went through a not terrible but still rough procedure but felt 100% better as I walked out of the office 20 minutes later. He handled it and I have been cured and perfect ever since. Huge respects and appreciation to Dr. Waki's assistant Chelsea. She saw it all go down and provided me solid comfort in a tough time. Best of the best. The front staff was very welcoming and friendly. Clean office, small parking lot but more space in the lower garage. Being right by the CVS is appealing too.

You must call in to pay via credit/debit card and then there is no way to get a receipt unless you go back into the office to get it or pay $20 for them to send you one in the mail (isn't postage only about 80 cents nowadays?). The people who run the billing department work from home, so they can't even print receipts to send a picture of a receipt via email. Therefore, very difficult to get a receipt to get reimbursement via HSA or HRA. This is a very simple thing to get payment set up online.

I've been taking both my…read moreelderly parents to doctor's appointments recently and it was shocking and a real eye opener to see how they get sloughed off from one department to another. I realize that they are older and many ailments are a natural part of the aging process, however, they're still people and they're still suffering. It's just downright cruel not to listen to them (really listen, not just feign interest) and pass them onto someone else. Well, Dr. Goland didn't do that. He listened, asked my Dad to repeat answers just to make sure he understood correctly, and did some testing right there and then. Dr. Goland outlined a complete course of action and I'm hopeful that my Dad will get better in time.

If you make an appointment with him make sure you clear your day because its going to take extra time (in a good way). Expect to wait for him, he will probably run late because he is very thorough with EVERY patient. He will go step by step, organ by organ, and ask you what your symptoms are. This is not a 5 to 15 minute visit doctor that doesn't listen. You won't have to talk too much because he asks you very direct questions. On your part, you better know your symptoms so you can clearly communicate that to the doctor. He will analyze your symptoms and come up with a treatment plan. I felt like all my issues were addressed and dealt with. He reminds me of a small town doctor that takes time, he is definately not a clock watcher. The lady Maria that works with him is amazing as well. She will tell you in the beginning that there might be extra waiting for him so bring a book, jot down your symptoms, watch YouTube and be ready. It took me a month and a half to make an appointment to see this doctor and it was worth it. He's not the type of doctor that's going to baby you and coddle you, he gets right down to business. Be ready to answer questions definitively. Lastly, he is an educator. He empowers you with information so you're not thinking you have cancer or some crazy stuff you looked up on the internet. It feels good to have information and answers. This is right up my alley.

I took the day off of work to go stand around St. Jude to have blood work, x-ray and ECG. They don't make appointments for you. I walked into the place to do my x-ray and ECG. I gave the front desk my paperwork that was sent over to me from Dr. Bui's office. About 10 minutes later I was called to the front. The front desk told me, "I don't know if we can do your procedures today? The Dr forgot to sign the paperwork. I can give the Dr a call and see if they can fax it over? We ALWAYS have trouble with this one Dr. She sends her patients over here with paperwork never signed." I then took a seat and waited. I could hear the front desk leaving a message. I was then called up again. I was told, "Unfortunately, the Dr doesn't come in until 9am today." (It was 7:20am at the time). Some how the front desk was able to squeeze me in and I was off to get my x-ray and ECG. I recieved my results within a few hours and they found something wrong with my heart. I called the Dr the next day scared. I was told the Dr isn't in on Thursday or Fridays... of course she isn't. UGH! The front desk sent a message to Dr. Bui about what was found in the ECG. I received a call a few hours later asking me to make an appointment with my primary Dr so that my primary Dr can sign off on my surgery. ARE YOU FOR REAL?! This Dr couldn't just say, "No, I don't feel comfortable doing the tonsillectomy until the patient gets her health in order!" She ended up throwing my life onto my primary Dr to sign off on my surgery and that way her hands were clean if I did end up dying on her table. You have been warned! This Dr will send you to get pre-op procedures without signed paperwork and you have to wait around waiting for the Dr to sign it then fax it. She'll throw your life to your primary Dr instead of just saying she doesn't feel comfortable. I will NOT be returning to Dr. Bui to do my tonsillectomy when I get my health in order.

I have a large mass in the left side of my sinus cavity and a vascular polyp on my right and am having such difficulty breathing. I originally sought care in Corona, but after my CT scan and seeing the surgeon they said they were not equipped to handle the surgery and were going to send me to LA which is too far for mw to drive. I was given Dr Goufman's number from St Joseph's ER and called and made an appointment discussing this with Jessica(she was wonderful) and was set up with an appointment for Wednesday with the doctor. I filled out all the paperwork beforehand and got to my appointment early. I was brought back in the room. When the doctor came in I explained everything that had been happening.... Several trips to the ER for severe recurrent nose bleeds, that the doctors in Corona couldn't treat me further and I handed him the CT scan report. He looked at it and said that I needed to go back to the original doctor that had already been treating me. I explained again it was too far out and I needed a new doctor/facility closer. He rudely threw my paper back at me and said "I wont treat you.... You have already seen another doctor" as I was asking him "what about a second opinion???? He literally ignored me and walked out the door!!!!! I am a retired RN that has worked with so many doctors over my lifetime and I have NEVER been dismissed and treated SO horribly!!!! Jessica was present and I could tell she also felt really bad for how he treated me. I am so sorry that you have to work for such an insufferable man. You deserve better as do all his patients. I cant believe anyone would go back to him ‍ Nobody should have to experience this kind of treatment.... especially someone that has been suffering with such a condition, trying to receive some care and compassion!!!! Neither are available from this doctor!!!!!
