The absolute best breakfast bagel sandwich I've ever had! I'm not being bias because I'm from Jersey. I had the bacon, egg, and cheese with hash browns on an everything bagel. The kids respectively had bacon and egg, and sausage and egg on plain bagels. They surprisingly both liked them as well, but they were full on a half sandwich. The wife just ordered bacon and potatoes. The prices are a little pricey, but you get what you pay for in a good way, with exception to just bacon and potatoes. The wife said the potatoes didn't have much flavor and the price of both together was that of an entire sandwich with less bacon, no egg, no cheese, and no bagel. Make sure to either order ahead or on Yelp. It's always busy. There was a wait just to pick up my order due to the amount of people. I'll keep coming back when I come back to Jersey to visit family. read more

Surprisingly good! Haven't had a decent bagel in some time, Brooklyn spoiled me. I was pleasantly surprised. I do wish they had a bigger menu, but can't complain. 5 times Ive phoned in orders. 4 times they've gotten it wrong! The Owner is the guy taking the orders! Don't care how good the bagels are, but when the owner gets it wrong it just shows you he doesn't care and shows you why the service is so bad! The system they have is horrible! I can't understand how the employees are not being told to make sure they follow the orders correctly. Every time I order bacon from this place I order in bulk 4-5 sandwiches extra bacon extra crispy and every time without fail the bacon comes back raw and moving as if it's still alive. I complained more than several times and nothing so I give up bagels are good but these people don't understand what crispy or extra crispy means. read more

I am absolutely in love with this place! I haven't had the opportunity to go to Rahway Bagels physically yet, however, the three times I have ordered using my DoorDash app, I have never been disappointed. I found this bagel place really randomly and I have found it to be one of my favorite Rahway treasures. My family and I always get our bagels within 10 minutes, and they are always spectacular. Just moving from NYC, I was afraid I wouldn't find a good bagel place that could live up to NYC bagels like Zucker's bagels, yet Rahway Bagels had truly blown me away and I would definitely say it is in competition with Zucker's bagels. I do hope I get to stop by the store some time this summer and personally thank the employees at this establishment. Rahway Bagels has made my welcome to Rahway a whole lot sweeter, and I'm so excited to begin going through their amazing menu. Keep up the great work! :) read more

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!! I'm visiting from the West coast for the week and I'm staying at the Watt Hotel. This delicious little local treasure is just a 15 minute walk away from the hotel and holy crap was I blown away. The shop is small so there's no room to sit and eat but they'll have you in and out super fast. I got an Everything bagel with regular cream cheese and a Garlic bagel with olive spread. Absolutely. Freaking. Delicious. The bagels are huge, the spread is thiiiiick and there's a great variety of both to choose from. If you're staying nearby I Highly recommend you give this place a try. I'm going back again today and I'm Definitely going to be grabbing another 1-2 bagels for the flight back home at the end of the week. I'll try to add pictures of the bagels next time....if I can stand to wait long enough to take them!!! read more

Updating my review now that the business has been around for a bit longer. I still think the bagels are fantastic, albeit expensive, but the actual business practice of Rahway Bagels is severely lacking. Try to call in an order? You either get no answer or sit on the phone for 3-5 minutes until someone can take your order. Walk in to order? The lines are long and you're going to have to wait 15 minutes for two bagels. The past three times I've gone in, the owner hasn't been wearing his mask. Seems like the person at the front has to answer phones, take orders in person, and run back and forth from the kitchen to deliver the orders, so it's an absolute mess. All that to say I'm in search of another local bagel shop that actually has their business in order. read more

It's all about the bagels. I grab a dozen each time I go in. The plain bagels remind me of the bagels i used to get in the hot bagels stores in Brooklyn back in the 70s. Big and warm. They cost a little more, but they are quite hefty. They have maybe 10-15 choices. Expect to wait especially in the morning. Most of the less than stellar reviews refer to outgoing orders and customer service. My review is about the bagels, and they are the best around. read more

Moved to the area over a year ago and this quickly became our go to bagel shop. Bagels are big with good flavor and they have a lot of different spreads to try from. It's a busy small shop but they do a good job of getting you in and out if you know what you want. Nice staff and great prices! read more

We saw someone ordered a bunch of cheddar bagels with plain cream cheese once so we tried that and they're also amazing. Rahway Bagel is the best bagel place I've found since moving to Rahway. They are the closest to having a true New York bagel. Food is good however I can't figure out the pricing. My regular bagel with egg whites and Swiss cost under $4. Depending on the person at the register, I was charged $8 on another visit. I didn't get a receipt at the time. The next time I asked for a receipt, got to my car and noticed I was charged for meat when I didn't order meat!!! There were lots of people waiting for bagels, so I thought it would be good. I spent $10 for 2 bagels and 1 bagel sandwich. The Taylor ham, egg, and cheese was the most pathetic breakfast sandwich I ever had. It had one piece of Taylor ham on it. One. Called in an order and repeated to them what I wanted at least 4x and they still got wrong. They have good bagel but would suggest you go in personally to give an order and check your order before you leave. Side note: this is not the first time they get my order wrong. Don't be fooled by the old sign, YUNO bagels is no more. Although it is sad to see them go I am very very excited and happy this place is here. This a real deal bagel spot. The new owner seemed really great and proud of his new place as he should be. Although it was mid renovation the bagels were awesome. All their cream cheese looked amazing, I got an I onion bagel with veggie cream cheese (packed with minced veggies and flavor). My mom got their French toast bagel which I I'd course stole a bite from... UNREAL. That bagel was seriously one of the best things I have ever bit into. 11/27/2021: I don't even really like bagels...But these are not bagels. Unsolicited advice: Rahway Bagels may want to consider a name change to Rahway Pillows of Doughy, Tasty Goodness! We were in town visiting family and I was looking for a place for breakfast with pork roll aka Taylor Ham. My grandma introduced me to it when I was a kid and it's such a treat to find down here in MD. So of course when I roll through Jersey, I'm on the hunt for some Taylor Ham! We ordered via DoorDash and our order was spot on. I rarely use DoorDash because I prefer 100% of my order going to the business but I couldn't make it there in person (I will go in person to get my order next time I'm in town). Now, on to the pillows of doughy, tasty goodness....they were divine! We ordered 2 meat egg and cheese bagel sandwiches--1: everything bagel, American cheese, s&p, ketchup, home fries, sausage and a fried egg. 2: cheddar bagel, American cheese, double meat Taylor Ham, and a fried egg. Both of these were toasted. These are big big sandwiches that you could split, but I wasn't sharing mine. Hubby had his own. I ate half and nibbled on the other half later in the day. It was cold and it was still so damn good! Then just to be greedy, we ordered a blueberry bagel, French toast bagel, and a cheddar bagel (plain and scallion cream cheese on the side) for later. I really wanted to like this place, but I just can't get on board. First the owner doesn't follow Covid protocol as far as mask wearing goes. You're serving the public food the same public that you want healthy to keep patronizing your business. I'm not sure what's so hard about wearing a mask over your nose?! Anyhow the next thing is the pricing, I work in Bergen county where everything is pricey and it's still not as expensive as this place. To be clear I don't mind paying for good quality food that's consistent. These sandwiches here are lacking ingredients and the ingredients are never cooked like how you request. I get three breakfast sandwiches for just about $20 at this place and the same by my job is just about $14 and way better. I ask for the bacon to be made crispy each time I ordered here, and the last time I was very specific and said to make it as crispy as possible almost burned. What I got was the complete opposite of what I asked for. Also the chaos of ordering over the phone or in person is inexcusable. The owner is not very hospitable and you feel so rushed and talked over when ordering. "Hi good morning, can I have a bacon egg and cheese on a roll?" "SALT, PEPPER, KETCHUP!! HASH BROWN, AVOCADO!!!" Almost immediately before I can even finish saying roll, and says it so abrupt and rushing you through without really even listening as if he's a robot. Also that mantra is repeated after every single sandwich. Also what's with the pushing the hash brown and avocado each time??? Holy Up-Sell!! Anyway I'll be looking elsewhere. I'd rather drive out of my way since there aren't really any other bagel spots in town than deal with this place ever again. read more

placed an order online at 8:33. said it would be ready at 8:43. I arrived on time. The order was ready at 9:00 and handed to me at 9:04 because they were taking phone orders. I believe my order should have had priority over the phone order. I would also suggest the system be updated to reflect the time it will actually take to prepare the order especially during their busy time. At 67 I would prefer to pick up my order at the given time rather than stand for 20 minutes in a small but crowded space. I would have waited until 9:00. read more

Their french toast bagel is absolutely bananas, its soft and slightly chewy but without being tough like french toast bagels can be at other places. Its topped with the perfect amount of sugar, paired with their strawberry cream cheese and its easily 10/10. Their bagels are absolutely amazing. Jalapeno cream cheese was great, although slightly hotter than expected. Vegetable cream cheese also great. Highly recommend. read more

Went here this morning (Christmas) and it was rather busy. However, the gentleman at the front maintained composure and handled the crowd well. He was even smiling and wishing everyone a Merry Christmas as guests were eager to get their bagels! I'm a first timer, visiting family from out of town, so I'm told it's generally much busier than it was today. However, it being Christmas I admired how the business was handled.
