Libby's Mexican restaurant is back!!! And just as delicious as you remembered!
    Matthew T.

We stopped in coming back to SF from Mendocino. We wanted a drink. But when we found out Libby's was back Tuesday-Thursday we had to get a snack. So we ordered the mini nachos. So fresh and delicious we were brought back to all those wonderful meals at Libby's old location. The mini nachos was a good sized bar snack for two people. My wife got a ginger Lemmon drop with their house made vodka. Their vodka is smooth and well crafted. They even have to go bottles. The service at the bar is fast friendly and very capable to make just about anything you throw at them. The place itself is very cool with a big open floor and great view out of the huge back window.

The Boonville Distillery is an absolute must-visit! They shockingly weren't busy on a Saturday evening, and our party of 6 got seated right away. The interior was cozy but stylish, with a cool antler chandelier, fireplace, and retro soda fridge. They had a small menu of mocktails, in addition to the extensive drink menu, so I ordered a N/A Mint Julep - super tasty and refreshing! My friends' cocktails were all fantastic, as well. We also ordered some starters to share - the Goat Cheese & Garlic (so good, love the local goat cheese), Brussel Spouts (nice and crispy), and the Stone Fruit Summer Salad (fresh and tasty). Half of the menu was seasonal and didn't match what we'd seen online. I decided on the Seared Tuna and Brisket with Mac & Cheese to share with my friend. The Seared Tuna was incredible - perfectly cooked, not overpowered by the other flavors in the dish. I could truly eat this every day! The Brisket was pretty good, but the decadent Mac & Cheese stole the show for me. I would've loved to try the Brisket Mac & Cheese we'd seen online! The rest of my friends all loved their food as well. Service was friendly but not the quickest. Overall, fantastic for dinner!

N/A options after a Hendy hike!

Amazing spot! Great ambiance, I recommend the goat cheese and roasted garlic appetizer, and the bartender was lovely. Would go back again x100.

We had such a great time here! The fireplace welcomes you immediately. The lady working here was nice enough to serve us by the fireplace. Good beers on tap, great to sit down and relax after a long drive. They had some pickles in moonshine that I really wish I grabbed!

Top to bottom: Espresso Martini, Lemon Drop, strawberry martini and apple blossom martini.

Great food. Loved our martini flight. Burger was delicious. Dill ranch and house cut fries. Had a great experience.

This place is literally a hidden gem in Northern California! This Distillery/Bar/Restaurant has the BEST food and drinks. Hubby had the fried chicken and it was the juiciest, crispiest and most flavorful chicken ever. Just like homemade. I had the chef salad with the most wonderful assortment of veggies. Awesome strawberry lemon drop with the house distilled vodka! So delicious we bought a bottle to take home! Amazing presentation on the food. I'm sorry I forgot to take pictures of the food the second night The food, owner, chef and staff were so awesome we went back a second time for dinner and drinks on the same trip! This time it was a fried chicken plate to share and the tequila lime prawns and a side of the house made fries! The owner asked if I would like to try a drink she was working on...of course. Strawberry crème daiquiri! It was absolutely delicious, the crème vodka makes it! Now we just wait for it to be available to buy... Huge thank you to the Owner (whose name I don't think we ever got) and to Chris, the Chef!

It was a good experience, with good food and OK service. There is a dedicated lot next to the stand alone building, so parking was easy. The open sign was on, but the ambiance appeared sleepy, so guessing that it gets a lot busier later in the day. There were two people working, and once we got the front-of-house's attention, were seated at a comfortable table for 4. Complementary chips and salsa were provided Reviews and self-proclamations clearly state that birria (beef) was worth getting, so my wife got the Quesadilla Birria ($13.99), and her mom got the Camarones al Ajillo (shrimp in garlic sauce $19.99). The menudo wasn't available, so I got the Pozole ($15.75) instead. They have cans and bottles of soda and beer, with a can of Coke being $2.50. Everything was good. The quesadilla was more like a grilled burrito (or chimichanga), and had been nicely crisped. My wife really enjoyed it. The shrimp plate came with rice and beans, which were OK, and choice of flour or corn tortilla (average). The large prawns were nicely cooked with a flavorful sauce. My pozole had good flavor without too much fat (the excess had obviously been skimmed) and was quite hot, though I wish it had more hominy and pork. My wife later found out that the meat used here is butchered on-site and that care is taken to remove excess fat. It really shows: all the meat dishes were not greasy and there wasn't the pools of fat that often accompany hastily prepared dishes. It was appreciated. Clover is the payment processor and there is a 3% fee for using a credit card.

SOOO GLAD I found this place. It is legit!! We ordered 2 carne asada burritos with everything to go!! So dang good!!! So authentic! The rice, The beans. The asada and everything else!! Yumm!! So good for my weary soul. The homemade flour tortillas reminded me of growing up in central California. I have been craving one ever since. This place did not disappoint! My one gripe is they only give you one side of salsa for your GINORMOUS BURRITO!! Which is probably enough for a normal Person BUT...This salsa roja is FIRE!!! Fantastic flavor with a solid kick!! Hunky hubster and I love heat so for us it was perfect and we were wanting MORE!! Hubs finished his whole burrito but I could only do 1/4 to 1/3 it was so packed full of goodness!! Everyone was helpful and friendly from the employees in the market to the servers/ cooks outside. Was great to watch them make the tortillas while you wait. 5/5 with no complaints only ravings and a deep abiding sadness that it is 8.5 hours (on a good day) away from home. We travel this way once a year to visit my Mother in Love in Brookings for her bday. I will be looking forward to next July when I can have my old school Mexican food longings fulfilled!! If you are bougie don't bother. But if you love the non fancy down to earth road side Mexican food with no flairs or fusion BS, it's definitely worth the time. $30 for 2 Carne Asada burritos LOADED WITH EVERYTHING!! Worth every penny and for me, more than enough to share! Again... if you like heat ask for extra salsa!!
