Rainbow has done a terrific job for me more than once. Most recently they fixed up my almost new Honda Odyssey after a major brain fade caused me to rear end another van. Their work is excellent and they usually fix something extra "while they are at it". My only mistake was not listening to the owner/manager, Phillip Choi when he advised me against waiting for Enterprise to come pick me up. Next time I'll use his suggestion of Hertz. SAVED ME $$$$$ .... I was getting the run around with other mechanics. No one knew exactly why I was experiencing a shutter at low miles. Everyone wanted to charge me for Shocks, new transmission ect. One of the owners suggested I just flush my transmission fluids as it could be a possibility GOODYEAR put a non- Honda Transmission fluid in my car. Its been months now and my car runs beautiful. HORRIBLE!!! I went to Rainbow to rent a Budget truck and this is my experience... PROS: - The office was clean - They offered coffee & tea for free - The general area was prefessional & clean CON'S: - The man helping me was RUDE, PREJUDICE, & NOT HELPFULL AT ALL as he charged me for everything under the sun! - The young man kept his head down most of the time while telling me every extra expense I had to pay for. $10 DROP OFF FEE! C'mon now! I was never charged that from any other budget rental location! - .89/Mile! I understand that is standard but my friend just moved the week before and recieved .59/ml. Same distance & everything, different location. - This guy even charged me a gas fee because I supposidly did not fill it up all the way. I showed him the receipt and he said he will consider it. The man is shady and PRICE GOUGES for every little thing. Never again.... read more

I'm giving my review based on the need for a court ordered IID. I've had nothing but problems with the device they installed. Device has given several false positives. The owner is far from friendly. My last visit was told I would have to pay $40 every time the device malfunctions and will POSSIBLY get reimbursed if the company that reads the data determines it was not a user error. I would never recommend this place and ironically is on the approved list from DMV mandatory actions. read more

From the initial visit of looking at my vehicle and letting me know what it will take to fix it to dealing with my horrible insurance company, rainbow was there willing to help me every step of the way. Francis and Philip kept me updated through out the whole process keeping me in the loop. When they noticed that my insurance company forgot some important information regarding my repairs, Philip quickly got it taken care of and got the repairs completed. We rented a moving truck from here about a month ago. I would NEVER step foot in the place again. My husband reserved a truck on monday there our moving day was thursday we called to confirm they said yes don't worry your 17ft truck will be here. Thursday we got a rideto rainbow we walked in the lady at the desk was sooo rude took over 10 mins to say hello ill be right with you. Finally she said they didn't have our truck and we had to go to another location to get the truck. We go to another location to get the truck they didn't have our truck we call the lade at rainbow to get things cleared up she was soo rude we were told to come back to rainbow and she could give us a 10ft truck I told her that is 7 feet smaller and that's not going to work we need the truck we ordered there we go back to rainbow since things are messed up on her end she made us call and talk to the truck company it was a complate nightmare she could have been waymore helpful I would never go there again because of her being sooooooooo rude There are plenty of better small business that need our support. read more

I had to have some minor body work done to my car and thanks to the raving review from Walter, I decided to give this place a try. I was not disappointed. Philip was very helpful and knowledgeable. He offered me a great deal and the work was done quickly and properly. It looks perfect, Philip even gave me some paint 101 tips! So far its only been a week and everything is still A-Okay. If I remember in year ill comment back on the paint quality, but right now everything is GREAT. Totally agreed with Maria T from Union City as for their professionalism. My son's van (2002 Honda Odyssey) hit a parked car when turning around the corner. Phillip at Rainbow showed me their procedures and worked with our insurance company. The work was totally awesome and complete. The whole passenger side of the van looks brand new. In fact, it almost brand new with the new parts. They even fixed extending outside of the insurance covered area (as a courtesy fix) not just to ensure blending in to match the old and new paints. They courtesy fixed all the dings that are outside the insurance covered damage area. Look like they replaced the entire rear bumper, but they said they didn't. Don't know how could they not replaced it and smoothed out all the scratches on a rubber bumper. It looks brand new. Before decide to let Rainbow do the job, I had another body shop gave me a quote. They were going to charge me for a portion of the bumper that was not covered by the "accident damage". However, Rainbow took care of it that I didn't even expected. read more

After a very harrowing experience with insurance adjusters and other auto repair shops not returning calls or standing by us to fix my Chevy Tahoe, Rainbow Auto and owner Phil, took us on! Our truck needed a new front bumper, hood, and fender after a minor accident. Our insurance cashed out the truck and the original auto shop decided they wouldnt do the work and put at a loss. My husband called several auto shops and Phil was the only one to return his call. The repairs took a total of 9 days which was expected. One of the concerns was matching the paint because the original owner had it painted . I had scraped the back rear of my truck, but no problem, he threw that in for nothing, awesome! The team there that worked on my truck did an absolutely, awesome job! My husband and I both agree the work they did made my truck look even better than it did when we bought it! And the best part was they were able to match the paint perfectly!!! If you are in need of a trusted well respected auto care center for any of your own vehicles, you could do no better than Rainbow! This is way over due as I had repairs done to my 2007 Honda Accord in September of 2009. A construction work truck backed into my front end and though he was traveling less than 10 mph, I am sure, he created almost $3,000 worth of damage. Rainbow was recommended by my dealership, so I thought I would give them a try. Both the owner of the truck and I did research on the cost to repair and replace the damaged items and Rainbow's rate was fair and competitive. As a footnote when the MLB All Star game came to San Francisco, a can of enamel spray paint fell off a truck in traffic and I ran over it. There was a white streak from the front tire to the rear tire on the drivers side of my car. I was told at the time by other body shops that I needed a new paint job as there was no way to remove the paint without removing all the paint. Any way the guys at Rainbow not only fixed the damage from the accident, they removed the white streak. Just when you think you cannot trust an industry these guys save the day! read more
