I just started playing mariachi again after a several years long break due to the pandemic. The suit jacket for one of my uniforms is very atypical of standard dry cleaning fare (it has an inlaid silver thread design that is very easy to fray and/or tear out). I brought in my suit after getting back from a long hot and humid weekend playing in Tamaulipas, Mexico. My makeup melted off of my face and some of it ended up on the jacket and some ended up on the vest of my white suit (transfeminine individuals such as myself will often wear makeup all the way down our neck in order to hide beard shadow, this makes it very easy to end up with shirts and jacket collars with makeup stains if the makeup runs). I was nervous that they would not be removable because of how long had gone by between the start of the trip and getting the suits cleaned, but Rainbow Cleaners got the stains out despite the amount of makeup set in and delicate nature of the suit jacket's fabric. I was nervous about bringing in a skirt to a dry cleaner (you never know how people will treat you when you are trans), but the gentleman who helped me was very nice and didn't make a big deal about the fact that I am trans. My suit came back clean, intact, with quick service at a reasonable price. I'm glad I found this place and that it's fairly close to where I live. I will definitely be coming back when my suits need to be refreshed. read more

Super overpriced, slow turn around time. So many better options in the area that don't charge exorbitant prices and take a week to dry clean a comforter. The owner is not nice so check out cleaners and laundry services within walking distance to see the difference. Night and Day! I got our comforter cleaned again at another place nearby for only $25 and it was done in a few hours and smelled great. Rainbow is not a serious place in my opinion. But you decide. read more

I've never written a poor review for a business, but I had a very odd experience here. Came in at 1:00pm on a Thursday. Walked in the staff member was on the floor with a dog (all good at first, because I love dogs). I say I'm dropping off two pieces and the staff member goes behind the desk. The dog starts gnawing at my shoes (still okay with me) and the staff member says "Hit him in the nose or else he'll go for your shoelaces". I said I wasn't comfortable doing that. Staff members picks up the dog and then goes back to the computer to type in my order. He seemed friendly with the dog, he didn't hit the dog (which was good). I give my information and ask if I can pick up tomorrow night (a Friday night). He says it will be $30 since it will be rushed - otherwise it would have to be Saturday late afternoon, which was too late for me. It seemed expensive but I figured it would probably only a few dollars difference anywhere else. I get in my car and read through some 1-star reviews on Yelp that were very concerning, and notice a lot of seemingly fake reviews on Google (reviews where the author has only posted 1 review ever). My experience, along with the online reviews, were concerning enough for me to go back in and ask for my clothes back. My clothes were still lying on the register table still, but there had been tags stapled to the cloth tags in each piece of clothing. I had never seen that before. I asked the staff member to remove the tags. He removes part of the tag and says here. I ask again to please remove all of the tags, and the staples. The staples left holes in the tags. So bizarre. It didn't seem like they were handled with care at all. If you want your clothes handled professionally and with care, I'd suggest going somewhere else. Ocean Cleaners in Hermosa is awesome and always extremely friendly, but usually takes at least 2 days (because they're so busy). If you need somewhere quick, go to Flair Cleaners. They are super nice and professional. I dropped off there at 1:15pm and they'll be ready by 5:00pm tomorrow with no rush charge. read more

He told me that my dry cleaning will be ready in a couple of days. When I showed up a day after a couple of days, he said it isn't possible that it's ready and I made a mistake, and just toss the ticket back to me. Literally tossed. The guy cannot be more rude. The cleaning facility does not appear to be onsite as you cannot see anything but hung clothes. Save your time, go somewhere else. read more

Very disappointed with this location and do not recommend it. Fast service yes, but the prices are RIDICULOUS! $20 for a cotton jumpsuit and $12.50 for a sweater. Mind you i'm new to the area and found the location driving by. They have a big sign that says "20% off for 1st time customers". Upon arrival, the owner took my info to include in his system. Went back for my 5 items, total $62 and mentioned i'm a 1st time customer and he automatically said he cant do the discount. Said i should have mentioned it when i dropped off and it's a big "hassle" for him to do now, but he would do next time. There will be no next time, as i'm sure I can find a more accommodating and customer friendly location that's not as pricey. read more
