This restaurant is definitely more of a takeout spot than a dine-in place, but we still had a great experience. The staff were very nice and chatted with us while we were there. They also have a bunch of adorable trinkets you can buy at the counter. We ordered the crab rangoons, which were very creamy and delicious. We also got the steamed dumplings--while they don't look huge, they're packed with flavorful meat. I had the Kung Pao shrimp, which was incredibly flavorful and covered in a delicious sauce with lots of veggies. My mom got the orange beef, which she really enjoyed, and the portion was huge. Food was outrageous delicious and authentic. Owner Chef and whole family delightfully served us. This is primarily a take out spot and they are busy. 3 booths and 2 tables for dining room. Styrofoam bowls and plastic utensils for dining. They serve you complimentary hot tea which was delicious and freshly brewed. There is a refrigerator with soda and ice tea for purchases. Pictures of current specials not on the menu are displayed too. The whole family is friendly, welcoming and attentive. Feels like you are dining in their home. My only complaint was last of plates and silverware for dining guests. Dishes were brought without serving utensils but when requested a clean large cooking spoon was provided. Tried this new (to us) Chinese restaurant in Bradenton. They have a wide variety menu with all of your favorite dishes, appetizers, and soups. They have both eat-in and take out available. This is a family run place where your staff is the owners and their lovely children. The place is very laid back and the food is done to order and very tasty. It was wonderful to see the young children bringing out food and providing you with plates and plastic ware to eat. The theme of the food is made Szechuan style and the chef with over 20 years experience touts they make it "Hong Kong" style which is super authentic. Because it's just beyond my neighborhood I go there on Tuesdays when my regular spot is closed. My husband saw this place bc it's near our house and we wanted to give it a try. He went in and placed a pick up order: Sweet sour ribs, fried chicken, Mongolian beef, orange chicken and noodles with all meats in it. My husband spoke so highly of the owner. He said she was so friendly and kind. She kept offering him different samples to try. He went in before closing, there were people still going in and out for take out. Overall the food was amazing. It's so hard to find solid, local Chinese food and this place is it! I only tried the eggrolls, sweet and sour chicken that came with chicken fried rice and the wonton soup, but all were on point! The eggroll and wonton soup were stand out. I cannot wait to return to try a few more items, especially the fried wontons...those are tough to come by. And the owner (I believe she was) couldn't have been any nicer! She truly, truly cared about her customers and wanted to go above and beyond to make sure we were pleased with our orders and experience. Me and my girlfriend stopped in for lunch. I got general tso's chicken and she got sesame chicken. The service was great. It was hot out and the girl from the back brought us out 2 ice cold teas . Which was very nice of her. Then she brought our egg rolls which were great. Then our dishes came out . Both came with delicious pork fried rice . And both were really delicious with a good size portion for the price . The place is cozy and comfy for a quick place to eat. I will be back soon! read more

The food is better than the average Chinese carryout, spicy beef broccoli and Mongolian barbecue are hard to beat, they don't mind doing things extra spicy and always excellent quality relatively quickly. As an addendum to this My vegan wife absolutely adores the vegetable lo mein. Not much ambience to speak of but I go there for the food and always for takeout. A bit of issue with larger orders being accurate so make sure and double check before you walk out. Their food was not bad and their shrimp dish had pretty large shrimp in it, but they had kids at the counter doing the ordering and cash register. I'm talking about 10 year olds. And other little kids running in out of the kitchen like the 10-year-old and the teenager were babysitting their family. Of course, a 10 year old and slightly older than that kid is not gonna really understand business or care about whether the floor is clean the table is clean or bring the food to you or anything. They don't wanna be there and they don't wanna be working and it's quite evident, it's because I don't wanna go back there and see these kids manning the counter which is against child labor laws and dealing with kids that don't want clean tables. Don't want to sweep under tables and don't want to treat you like a valued customer. I don't think this place is gonna make it through this economy. read more

Ordered take-out for pick-up twice. Both times I waited an extra 15 minutes for my food. (Did they think I wouldn't show up?). The first order was Hunan chicken, stir fried green beans and mei fun. The Hunan was very good. The beans were undercooked and too peppery. Noodles were almost dry and flavor-free. Second order the Hunan was sweet rather than savory/ spicy. The beans were overcooked and bland. Also had a black bean dish that was also bland--needed way more black bean flavor. Although Rainbow is just 5 minutes away, we won't be going back. read more
