Probably one of the worst places I've ever been. I've been coming here for about 3 years now and they do not care about you whatsoever if you are under the age of 30. They'll tell you it's a ten minute wait then they will have you sitting there for 30 minutes like it's no big deal. Then when they finally help you they don't care if they hurt you or how hot the water is!!! Customers are not a priority and I've honestly kept coming back here because of how close it is to my house but never again .... OH And two days later my "amazing gel manicure" this rough lady gave me started peeling off. I went into the salon, I was choosing a color and all of a sudden a woman grabs me and starts my nails. She does an absolutely botched job on the shaping and sizes. Then, a man starts painting. I decided to try this nail salon. I walked in and the lady was sort of nice. I had the guy do my pedicure and mani. I got the rainbow spa pedicure. He was really nice. The massage was awesome. The chair massage was good too. The place looked very clean and it was relaxing. The rainbow spa pedicure was $28. Did I mention that the massage was amazing???? Because it was. Then moving on to the gel manicure. I think he did a good job. After he finished my gel manicure, he gave me a shoulder massage. It was quick but it felt amazing. He offered for 10 min massage. I came here to get a quick pedi after work. This salon is not my normal nail salon, but since I was in the area I figured it wouldn't be too bad. They took me after waiting 5 minutes and out me in the pedi chair. The girl who was working on my feet didn't say a word to me---except to ask I was pregnant (which I'm not) Very rude! The pedi came out fine. But the next morning my feet were very itchy and I now have a lovely rash all over my feet to go with my pretty blue toenails. Went to this shop to get my gel manicure off and just a regular manicure. The child didn't know what she was doing, that was obvious. I left with a mess. Asked how much I owed them and left. No polish and didn't trust her to cut my cuticle. I don't know why I didn't say anything. I was tired and didn't want to have a back and forth conversation. Pricy, the staff is nice but they do not disinfect their tools I did not see the disinfection liquid anywhere even if they disinfecting the tools over night they should saok it in liquid between clients it was scary but I did not say anything I do not live here so I will not be going back I hope for them that the health department will not visit them, I saw few tools they use and they are not suppose to use them by law but maybe it's only NYC law but to disinfect is for the sake of everybody their costumers should insist for their own good. I have been going to this salon since it opened. Savita does my nails and Maggie my pedicures. Both of these ladies are very sweet and do an excellent job. Yesterday while getting a pedicure I felt ill as if I was going to faint. I told Maggie I wasn't feeling well. Maggie lowered the temperature of the ac and wet some cloths with cold water to put on my neck. Tina, the owner of the salon, came from the back and proceeded to yell at Maggie for lowering the ac. I could tell from the look on Maggie's face that she was upset. I wonder if Tina would have preferred me to faint, fall out of the chair, and spew blood all over the floor. If that wasn't enough, Tina then went and put an angora sweater on as if it was the middle of winter and then walked passed me to the back laughing. Really? Her behavior was beyond disgusting. I give Maggie and Savita 10 stars, Tina -1000. Unfortunately in order to post a review I have to give Rainbow Nails at least one star. read more

I haven't gone to this particular nail salon for months because every time I go there is always an issue. I had once slightly smudged my nail polish and I apologized to my nail tech while asking for it to be fixed and the attitude I received was just rude, I shouldn't have returned after that but I did. After waiting a while I went back because no one else was taking in walk ins and I was assigned to this Hispanic woman and I thought she was doing a good job but another nail tech came to take a look and just started yelling at the poor woman. She was saying it was crooked and it didn't look good (I was getting tips on) she then switched me to herself and took off the tips roughly. As she was electric filing my nails after putting the acrylic on I was bleeding so much. I do not recommend going to this place at all. I live 30 seconds away from this nail salon and I never will reconsider it again! read more

This was my worst nail experience in my whole life. If you have an entire day to get your nails done, this is the place for you. My friends and I came here after lunch at 1:00 and didnt leave until 3:00 for two manicures and a pedicure. The first hour we just sat there soaking our nails in pure acetone to the point where my skin started to sizzle. One of my friends didnt even get her pedicure because the wait was insane. I went here and used a credit card that I had not used in a month. Within an hour of leaving the nail salon there were hundreds of dollars of fraudulent charges to the credit card! Needless to say I wont be returning!!!! If you do go to these crooks- PAY CASH!!!! Also, the way the man that did my nails filed them made them all chip and break when they normally don't :( He was also rude, pushy, and made me feel uncomfortable. I went in to get a gel manicure and the lady suggested I get powder, I never tried it and she said it was healthier so I said sure, when I did not like it because it was too thick, she ended up ruining my nail bed and it has been 4 months and my nails have almost grown back. If I could give negative stars I would... I went to rainbow nails today for a manicure. Another customer dropped a bottle of nail polish that spattered across the entire floor. The extremly rude owner was more concerned about getting it off her tile floor then she was about helping me with the red nail polish on my designer pocketbook. Most places would cater to their customers first, not them! My nail tech tried to help but ended up making it worse. They told me to ask the other customer to pay for the damage to my bag since she dropped the polish. Everyone in there spoke a little english at first but when I started getting mad all of sudden only one girl was able to speak broken English. I will say Tracy was the only one who semi-helped the situation but I will warn to NEVER use this salon. They are so unprofessional and extremely RUDE! read more
