This salon has gone downhill, mainly because of the attitude of management, rude. I was a regular customer since the week they opened a few years ago. Right after the holidays, I lost a gift card from my husband. I brought in my AMEX bill to show proof of purchase. They would NOT even look at the bill or give me any consideration. After going regularly for several years, I was astonished at how rudely the manager spoke to me, as though I were trying to "cheat" her out of money. Sad state. I decided to have an impromptu mani/pedi since my regular place had shut down. I walked in and was told to pick a polish and sit down. Had they told me it would be a 45 - hour wait , I would have left and come back . When I started inquiring about what time they would get to me(after waiting approx 30 min), they said 15. I decided to wait but after 15 , they were still not ready! So I left and went to another place. I wouldn't have been as upset had they been the least bit friendly. No one smiles or apologizes or seems to care . I have been to many salons and this was,by far, the most unfriendly place. Whoever the manager is should be teaching their staff customer relations. I have only been here once, and I will not be going back. I wanted a gel manicure. The staff was nice and helpful, and I loved my gel manicure color. However, before I went to bed I washed my face. Afterwards, nail polish on two fingers came off, and the others look like they won't last that long. I am extremely disappointed that my gel manicure didn't last a day. read more

The staff is completely rude. I've been going for years (don't know why) every time I'm there, they talk in their language and start hysterically laughing. I tried to ignore it a few times, but now I know it's completely about me. I'm not sure if they are being racist or what. I thought it was just me, a few of my friends and family members said the same. No matter what the case is, it's extremely rude to talk in your language and laugh. From beginning to the end I saw extreme rude behavior especially with this one nail tech in particular..I will not recommend anyone to go to this place.Then had THE NERVE to ask me for a tip. Love Rainbow Nail Spa! Never had a negative experience- I've been to many nail salons in New City. I've been going to Rainbow for both manicures and pedicures for several months now. Terrible terrible terrible!!! I wish I didn't have to give this place a star! They charged me $76 for a pedicure and a full set... Not a gel set, an acrylic set. I called before booking my appointment to see what the prices were and they said that for the pedicure it was going to be $20 and the full set was going to be $30, I ended up adding a gel color for $5 so my total should've been $55! Not $76. I asked the nail guy why it was so much and he started yelling at me! And the owner came over and said that I way lying about speaking to someone about the prices. This place sucks so bad and to top it all off, I've only had my set for 9 days and the color peeled off, not chipped! Literally peel from the cuticle. Don't waste your money here. read more

All I have to say is this place is disgusting! Rude! Unprofessional! They have no respect for their customers what's so ever! My mother in law walked in today to try this place out.. we just moved to Rockland from whiteplains and we are trying new salons to see if we find a good one. Well she got her feet rinsed off with water because calling it a pedicure would not even come close to it! When she asked "coco" a question about the pedicure this asshole rolled her eyes at my mother in law and started talking in Chinese to all the other idiots that work there. They all started laughing and looking at my mother in law! When I picked her up she told me what happened! I went inside to talk to "coco" or the "manager" and all of a sudden they all didn't know English and had a dumb look on their faces!! Please people stay away from people like this! Everytime that I have gone in there to use either of there services no set pricing...They speak there language so that none of the customers understand....We live in the US speak English....The staff is rude VERY rude...They tell you 5 minutes it ends up being a 30 minute wait...Never again read more

so I've been here a bunch of times and like 7 out of 10 times they do a great job, this is after you wait but leaving happy with your nails is always good but when you go with an appt or not and they give you, not gonna lie one of their male nail techs even if you say you'll wait for someone else, those are gonna be the times you leave unhappy. I just left and I didn't even let him finish because my nails looked so bad I told him in the beginning I wanted the same shape and he didn't do the same shape he made it look like a two year old had done my nails and this is just a single color mind you nothing special and they even made me pay the full amount like he had finished! he used wrong techniques on me even though I firmly said don't and repeated many times and burnt me several times in the process. it is very close to my house and for what I usually need basic nails for work they're usually good but I can't stand the times that I leave feeling like this. I have a vacation I'm leaving for tomorrow and now I have to budget time to go get my nails fixed somewhere else! My nails now feel weak because he insisted on not soaking off my gel but grinding it off and the paint job that he thought he had finished before putting the top coat on just looks awful. The last time this happened I let him finish and called to complain and she offered to fix it but I never had time to make it in this time they looked so bad I just left and I've made an appt somewhere else read more

They used to be great....as of recently their service and attitudes have been ATROCIOUS....I make an appointment and I wait forever and customers who walked in are taken before me...and the last 3 or 4 times I've gotten a pedicure I've gotten men who have destroyed my toes and my feet. Rico was the last person I had and he ended up bruising my back and neck during my massage even when I was pulling away and telling him he was hurting me. My feet and toes hurt so bad I had to get another pedicure the very next day at another salon. The woman who did my pedicure said it will take months for my feet to look AND feel better. He didn't even clean out the dirt along the sides of my toes, YUCK! On top of that he seemed like he was about to fall asleep and kept trying to push other services on me. Needless to say I WILL NOT be back EVER. I am VERY disappointed in their lack of knowledge, respect and manners.... read more
