I stayed here to attend a close friend's wedding, but instead of celebrating, I was forcibly removed from the hotel while trying to travel with my medical service animal. During the eviction incident, staff members filmed me on their personal devices while aggressively claiming my dog did not 'look like a service dog.' For context, I live with a severe, invisible cardiac condition (SVT) that causes dangerous heart rate spikes. My dog was trained to track my physical distress to ensure my safety. Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), service animals do not require a specific breed or a mandatory vest. Management went so far as to hunt down my personal social media. They found a lighthearted, sarcastic inside joke I had posted for friends pretending to sneak my late mother's puppies into another while she was battling colon cancer, and tried to weaponize it as evidence of a 'history' to retroactively justify their real-time discrimination against a disabled guest. Being recorded in a moment of medical vulnerability, forced out during a wedding weekend, and ultimately cyberstalked by hotel management was way too far. It was absolutely devastating. I am sharing this so that other individuals traveling with service animals or invisible illnesses are aware of how this establishment treats its guests.

The man staffing the office when I checked in on a Thursday night was really nice. Not in a forced way, nor did he seem like he was tired that he does this every day. He was truly kind, relaxed, helpful and informative. And there was a lot of information to give. The record library that you can borrow from is extensive, I barely scratched the surface (not of the records of course!). Having the update of a door code instead of keys was nice. The rooms were generous in size and had everything we needed - desk for piling my stuff on, TV, single serve coffee maker, two beds, bathroom, mini fridge and microwave. Couple notes that really don't count against the place but just to make one aware - the beds felt like maybe they weren't quite queen sized but almost full sized? I don't know, I couldn't figure it out but then again, I haven't slept in a queen in awhile. But they were comfortable. Also, where the coffee maker was, on the desk under the TV, there were no outlets. Two blank outlet covers under the desk and the outlet being taken up for the TV but no outlet for the coffee maker. I ended up putting it on a nightstand. Works fine, just a weird thing. I really loved the faux-vintage mini fridges and in some rooms, matching microwaves. Location of this hotel is great, you can walk to most things quite easily. No sidewalks, but that's ok. I would stay here again!

It was $10 to buy a bundle of firewood and we enjoyed building a fire outside at our site. This place was definitely a little pricier than some other nearby areas, but in my opinion it was well worth it. The showers and bathrooms were clean and the views of the beach right from the site were spectacular. Give them a shot!

The morning breakfast option only included fruit, granola (with milk - dairy or almond), and coffee or tea. The lobby has a microwave, dishes, bowls, and silverware available and a small selection of drinks for purchase on the honor system. If you're looking for a unique, peaceful stay on the coast, check out SCP Depoe Bay. I would stay there again.

We were only there one night, but I have to tell you, it was a really nice hotel experience! I reserved the Family (fireplace) suite. The hotel has two floors and this was on floor 2. We had a nice roomy balcony with two chairs for sitting in while soaking in the beauty. The room itself was really large, with a king bed in the main and a queen, I believe, in a separate room. TVs in the main room and the bedroom. The fireplace was gas, gave off nice heat at night as it got chilly outside, and added to the ambiance. This hotel has breakfast! This was also a pleasant experience. They had the usual cereals and yogurts, but also had big waffles and biscuits and gravy! The food was good! We brought a bottle of wine ourselves, but I did notice they sell wine and beer in the lobby, which is nice, right? I definitely would (and will) stay there again the next time we are in the area. I forgot to take pics of the room itself. Sorry about that. You can check out their hotel website to see it. The next time I stay there I will fix this! Though I had to remember to be mindful of the ceiling height up on the loft and the stairs leading up, everything else was positive. I booked the stay on Expedia. On the day of arrival, received a text from host with House # and the passcode for entry. Checkout is the same way, just text bk your House # and name with time. Location was easy to locate, about 10 mins from Tillamook Creamy and 20 mins to Rockaway Beach. I was greeted by some wild deers when I pull into their parking lot. Their tiny homes each came with their own bbq grill on the front porch. In the back, there is a small fire pit for roasting marshmallows, very cute. The interior is clean and the kitchen came with utensils to cook a meal. Beds were comfortable. Plenty of windows for ventilation and their heaters kept us warm through the night.

He could have politely asked what kind of vehicle we drove to know it wasn't us, but instead he came in hot and was very accusatory.
