Food: Taste Of The Islands dish, tilapia, shrimp, vegetables, and rice. Very tasty. Atmosphere: it's Rainforest Café. How can you not like it? Service: they knocked it out of the park, honestly, they did from the hostess to the manager, greeting us and checking on us later, to our waiter, all very, very pleasant, very attentive and kind. Stopped by Disney Spring during my Orlando trip and stopped by rainforest cafe for dinner. By the time I got there around 5pm and there was already a 30 min wait. The restaurant was very busy inside and it was definitely family friendly. I've never been to a rainforest cafe and it was a unique experience where there were fish tanks everywhere and great theming. The server we had was great and he was attentive. I ended up ordering a spring roll like app and a salad. The app was pretty good and flavorful. The salad I got was also okay - the chicken was a little dry though. At the end, this turned out to be one of the most expensive meals I had despite not ordering three items and two of them were salads. read more

Stopped here while we were walking around and honestly... kinda mixed feelings on this one. The jungle vibe is still pretty cool and the kids around us were loving all the animatronics, rain and thunder stuff, but man this place really feels outdated now. Like they havent really put much money back into remodeling it in forever. Some parts looked tired af honestly. Service tho was actually solid. Our waiter was super chill, checked on us a bunch without being annoying, and the food came out way faster than we expected on Thursday night. Food itself was okayyy but the prices are wild for what you get. I got the Jamaican Pepper Steak for $31.99 and it was crazy over seasoned and salty to the point I was chugging my beer every 2 mins. Speaking of beer, a 16oz draft was $9.25 which is kinda insane but I guess thats Disney prices doing Disney things. One thing thats actually worth knowing some local tour places give coupons for a free appetizer or even a kids meal. Definatley grab one if you can because it helps alot with the bill. Where to begin...this was our first night in Orlando and I had made these reservations months in advance. For making a reservation so far in advance, I expected a better seated area immersed in the ambiance. Our table was right behind the bar in a high traffic area and we're not seated in any of the special areas. Our table was still messy when we arrived and there was a puddle of mysterious liquid that spread the diameter of the entire table. We were greeted and helped by 3 different people before our server finally showed up. Drinks and appetizers took forever to arrive after somebody who was still not our server stepped in to help. Food was okay. We still made the most of everything and had a good time amongst ourselves. We were there for almost 2 hours because of the slow service. I will say the bathrooms looked a bit rough, unkept and a bit dated. The baby changing area was dirty and soap was missing from several of the sinks. I guess I could understand this for a busy weekend but this was a Tuesday? Honestly went just for the experience and to celebrate our first night in Orlando. We had a much more fruitful and well rounded experience at the T-Rex Cafe the next day. I say, come for the experience if your kids have never been to one or you do not have a Rainforest cafe near where you live. Keep expectations low and anticipate a high bill. Let's face it you do not go to the Rainforest Café for the quality of the food. You go for the experience inside the restaurant. It was hot, crowded, and the food was just OK. But the feeling of sitting inside the rainforest and the animated animals is unmatched. The volcano that was full of pyrotechnic displays outside was super fun. And there are excellent souvenirs. We made a last minute decision to stop at Disney Springs on our way back home - quick weekend getaway! We were going to the Polite Pig- line was way too long. So, as you can see no certain plans! We had about a 25 minute wait and it was a great chance to walk through the cute gift shop. Food was excellent and our waitress was wonderful. If you've never been this is experience dining- the restaurant becomes a rainforest with animal sounds and storms (you don't get wet). Fun drinks and souvenir cups for many of them. We don't come every trip to Disney, but once every other year or so. I had the best experience at the rainforest cafe April 18th. I hadn't gone to a rainforest cafe since I was a child and I got a reservation while I was on vacation and I'm so glad that I did . It's such a Magical nostalgic place, it brought me right back to when I was a kid . The service is so fantastic our waitress went above and beyond . I have a lot of severe food allergies (fish &shellfish). The chef came out to specially take my order to ensure that my food was made separate . The food was fantastic !! I'm a vegetarian and they had a good list of meat free meals . I got anaconda pasta and it was packed with flavor it was a 10/10. My partner got a Bimini Chicken Sandwich and said it was fantastic . As a concept, Rainforest Cafe is fun and inviting with a funky menu and eclectic interior. From animatronics to fake rainstorms while you dine, this is one meal you definitely won't forget. We arrived early to put our name down on the waitlist. If there's one thing we can say it's to put your name down far in advance as this place gets packed. After about 35 minutes of waiting we were called back and seated pretty quickly. Once seated we were introduced to Kathleen, our amazing waitress for the meal. She was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and very personable, a definite bright spot in our experience dining there. We ordered some drinks to begin, the Swimming Hole and a watermelon drink that they had just released as a special. Both were very, very sweet. Almost too sweet. If your kids order this you may want to prep for the next few hours of an energy burst. Beyond that we ordered a cheese quesadilla and the fish and chips. The cheese quesadilla unfortunately came with chicken and the dish itself tasted a bit off. It tasted a little sour as if the cheese was old. We couldn't put our finger on it but it was a big miss. The fish and chips were likewise just okay. The breading on the fish was very soggy and fell apart at the slightest touch. The fries were at least good but the meal just missed across the board. Ultimately nobody really comes here for the food, they come for the atmosphere, and this place really does have an atmosphere. Between the vibe and Kathleen alone this ended up being a decent experience even with the food not being what we had hoped for and expected (especially at the price point). This is a hard one - because I love the concept of Rainforest Cafe and always have a nostalgic tie to it, but the most recent visit just didn't hit my expectations. Over half of the animatronics in our area were broken or covered. We were celebrating my husband's birthday and this is one of his favorite places, so that really sucked that we couldn't be a part of the "storm" whenever it came through. Our server was really sweet, so kudos to her for making sure he got his birthday treat/desert. Besides all that, the entrees/food is usually overpriced in comparison to their actual value here. It had been years since we visited one of these restaurants and during our visit to Disney Springs this weekend we were torn between this one or TRex (owned by the same company/similar menu) but there was no wait here so that's where we went. Service was good but food did take a bit to come out (it wasn't nearly as busy as previous times). Ambience is cool, in my opinion, if you have kids (the reason we came lol). They tend to enjoy these a lot more. It's still nice to enjoy a place that's out of the ordinary... this one having a tropical feel with jungle animals, fish tanks, fountain. My kids enjoyed their dishes (fish with rice, Dino nuggets and shrimp Alfredo). My husband and I shared the quesadilla and enjoyed it. Dessert is a bit overpriced for my taste ($22) but we got to sing happy birthday to my oldest and that make it extra worth it hehehe In the end, if you've never visited these restaurants... you should give it a try :) read more

I wanted to take my kids someplace fun after being dragged around shopping at Disney Springs. I hopped on their waitlist online as we walked over, but it still seemed fairly long. We chilled in the gift shop, where we could see the aquariums. We were seated faster than anticipated, with an easy system for notifications. We were seated at the back, where animatronic gorillas and birds abounded. This place is all about decor and eating someplace different, but my kids were really too cranky to appreciate it. I enjoyed the aquariums. My Volcanic Cobb salad was huge and tasty; I brought half of it home. Service seemed slow, but our server was beyond friendly and kind, and they were able to bring the kids meals out first. The kids menu is pretty extensive with much more than the usual kid food fair in both entrees and sides, and the prices don't seem overpriced for this kind of restaurant. However, my kids both ordered mac n cheese, which- note to self- they are way too old for, because once again I had to order second portions for them! The ending was sweet: I let both kids order the Lava Mud kids desserts, which was a much, much larger portion than their small cup of mac n cheese. Once seated we were tucked in the corner by the bar seating and got to see most people passing by and the animatronics. The check-in attendant was rude and in a rush...you have to remember, the Rainforest employees are not Disney cast members, so that level of Disney attention isn't a given. We came to eat here for my son. He had just learned about the rainforest in his summer camp, so we thought he'd enjoy the experience. We got seated immediately. Jeanie was our server and our experience with her was 5 stars (and she was honestly the only reason we gave the service 5 stars). We ended up waiting 40 minutes for our food, but she came to our table numerous times to update us on where it was and when it would be coming. Of course, that's challenging with a 5 year old, but we made it work. However, he loved the animatronics. The thunder and lightning and moving animals had him mesmerized. That was the fun part of the dining experience. The lights dimmed when it would thunder and flash for the lightning. The animals all made sounds, and it was fun. We thought our food was great! The ribs were good, and I swapped the fries for vegetables, which turned out to be a great choice--fresh and flavorful. An unforgettable experience from start to finish! My daughter loves Rainforest Café-themed restaurants, so on our recent trip to Orlando, this was a must -- and I'm so glad we made it happen! We've been to a few smaller locations inside malls, but this one, located in Disney Springs, is on another level. Hands down my favorite dish (and funny enough, it wasn't even my order). * Rasta Pasta - Creamy, cheesy, and balanced perfectly with peppers, onions, and my added broccoli. * Python Pasta - Cheesy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. * Awesome Appetizer Sampler - Everything hit. There was some serious back up of seating people - only 25% of the restaurant had seated customers and loads of servers and 30+ people waiting for a table. The hostess was losing her mind. But finally around 4:25 we were seated. Service was not very good. It took a long time for anyone to come take our drink order and the table next to us was seated after us and already had drinks and their order placed. The food was good, not great and overpriced.
