After my Titus contact greeted me, he went outside to kick the tires and take a quick test drive. The good news is I had done my homework and knew my Toyota Sienna was valued at about $8,500 in Kelly Blue Book. Mr. Titus rep came back in and gave me his laundry list of what's wrong with my van, then made me his initial offer of $4,000. I didn't do a good job of hiding my disgust, so literally within 10-seconds, he upped the offer to $5,000. I kindly rejected and excused myself. Good decision on my part as only ten days later, I sold my van to a great young couple in Olympia for my ask. Winna winna chicken dinna!

Shortly after purchasing the vehicle, I began experiencing serious mechanical problems. In fact, the check engine light came on during my drive home from the dealership. Since then, I have had to complete extensive repairs totaling approximately $10,000. After inspecting the vehicle, my mechanic indicated that the nature of these issues strongly suggests they were present prior to the sale and would have been difficult to overlook. Since the purchase, I have made multiple attempts to contact a manager to discuss these concerns. Each time, I was told the manager was unavailable -- either in a meeting, on a call, or assisting another customer -- and unfortunately, my calls were never returned. This lack of follow-up has been very frustrating, especially given the seriousness of the situation. At the time of purchase, I relied on the expectation that the vehicle had been properly inspected and that any known material issues would have been disclosed. Based on what has occurred, that expectation was not met.

During the sales process, the sales representative acted like we were inconveniencing her rather than making a major purchase. To make matters worse, the protective coating that was supposed to be applied was never done before we left with the vehicle. It took over two weeks and multiple follow-ups just to get them to complete something that should have been done initially. When we finally got the car back, it was returned in unacceptable condition -- the paint had not been properly buffed and was covered in small scratches and water spots. For a brand-new vehicle, this level of care and attention is unacceptable. Overall, the customer service was poor, communication was lacking, and the quality of delivery did not match what should be expected when purchasing a new car. The staff was very patient in listening to our complaints and responded professionally. There were still a couple of small things that didn't get done but the engine did get replaced and they gave an explanation as to why it took so long. Communication could definitely have been better and more specific earlier on, which would have helped ease our frustrations. However, overall we would recommend Mullinax of Olympia now.
