I was 2 hours away from Olympia and at the time didn't know what was wrong with it so why would I tow it there? I had to sell my 7 year old 4 runner for scrap and buy a new car. They're lucky no one was hurt when my car suddenly froze up on the freeway. My hope is they are more cautious and careful in the future. zero stars.

Larsen's took the time to actually inspect everything and gave me a much more accurate picture. They confirmed the rear brakes were still in good shape (around 10mm), the control arm bushings were fine, and none of that additional work was needed right now. That kind of honesty is rare. They previously handled my front brake service, and everything was done right, no issues since. This time they also completed an alignment and oil service, both at fair prices. Mark was especially helpful throughout the process. He clearly explained what was actually needed versus what could wait, and didn't try to upsell anything. I never felt rushed or pressured, just informed. Bonus points to him since he's a fellow Atlanta Braves fan! I told them I thought it was an intake leak, and they said there were no issues with the intake system. I replaced the NOx sensor myself, no change as I suspected. I made an appointment with Randy at mclees and over the phone I could tell he was a friendly and knowledgeable tech. I was so thankful when he said that they can work on Diesel engines because diesel mechanics are difficult to find and always slammed with work. They charged me $120 (much better than $473) just for the diagnosis and ended up finding a split hose in the intake path. They said it was embarrassing that the dealership missed that, but I was not surprised. Randy gladly showed me where the hose was in the engine cause I was curious and answered my many questions about the repair with kindness and patience. They replaced the hose and my van has been running like it used to ever since. The only complaint I have is that they didn't ask permission to do the repair after diagnosis and ordered the replacement part before I said I wanted to do the repair. I would have said to repair it anyway, but it's something to keep in mind if you go here. I also had a coolant change and air filter replacement that they didn't charge me labor on. Overall I had a great experience and would gladly take my vehicle here again. Randy is the man!

This included a free all-points inspection with photos and info (e.g. brake pad thickness) and broke everything down by degree of urgency. Service was prompt and friendly, and after I discovered transmission fluid was leaking from one car when we got home, they apologized and got me back in right away to correct the issue. Parking lot is tight and there's no night drop (fenced lot), but they have a nice waiting area and their lobby shows how involved they are in supporting the local community. This was my first day off in multiple weeks, and I scheduled this ahead of time. I called and explained my situation to Tom before coming in, but when I got there, he was on lunch, so I had to start all over and re-explain everything--which was frustrating right off the bat. Honestly, this was one of the most annoying experiences I've had--at least in the beginning. My interaction with Race Valentin didn't go well at first. There was a lot of back and forth, details getting mixed up (he even thought my car was a 2013 instead of a 2023), and I didn't feel like I was being heard. I was already short on time, and by that point I was close to tears. BUT--this is where they turned it around. They filled up my tires, completed the rotation (which is what I originally came in for), and then went above and beyond. They found that a previous mechanic had installed a cheap knockoff sensor. Instead of just telling me and sending me on my way, they replaced TWO sensors, fixed the issue, and even handled my windshield wiper--all at no cost to me. By the time I left, everything was working exactly how it should. So yes--rough start, but strong finish. If anything, communication upfront (especially at the management level) could really be improved. But they made it right, and that goes a long way. I even called back after I got home to let them know everything was working perfectly--because that part matters too.
