What an awesome business! Upon my initial contact, Justin was out promptly to take a look at my aged furnace. I have to add here that the previous owners of my house did a lot of "creative" repairs to everything, so I wasn't surprised that there was no identifying information on the unit. Although Justin didn't try to upsell me on a heat pump, I asked about it. He gave me a quote that I thought was reasonable, and let me know about the financing and rebate available through my power company. The installation was scheduled for 10 days later. I have only one simple complaint, you guys forgot to put my Daikin decal on my air box :) I had several places come to give estimates, and Mike was the only one to call out a concern on wiring. Their price was competitive, and Daikin is one of the last heatpumps still using copper coils. Now granted I've only had my unit maybe 2 weeks now, but I was pretty hands on watching the installation, plus I'm also very anal retentive expecting good work :) They installed a Daikin 4T 16seer heatpump, and we went with a 5T blower for more airflow. We have a 2800 square foot house and very high heating bills during the Winter ($800-900/month). Our in-person estimate was easy and very professional. When the crew came out to install, they were friendly, informative, and willing to go above and beyond throughout the day. It was a large job, so more people were called in to get it done (our system was over 20 years old). It was an all day project, but they finished and were happy to show us how to operate it at the end of a long day. Got 3 quotes for putting in a heat pump system. Rainier Heating and Cooling was the most complete proposal by far. One company did not even specify what efficiency heat pump they would install for the quoted price! They were responsive, on time, and helpful. They even replaced the trim at the inside furnace opening which had to be made 3 inches taller for the new hardware which was not clearly their job. They were not the lowest price but the slight extra was well worth it in timeliness, how thorough they were, quality of work and equipment, and how helpful they were. Our furnace went out in the middle of January and the same day I called they were able to send out a technician a few hours later. Steve was prompt, respectful, personable and discussed a few option with us. He sent us a quote later in the day that was very reasonable and two day later we had a new furnace installed! The owner, Mike, was eager to show up at my house and give me two estimates for their brand of central air systems. My furnace was off throughout the cold wave and snow storms. My credit is under what it used to be, thanks to the pandemic, because my hours have been slashed, so I can't borrow the $13,000-$9,000 I would need to afford a new system from this company. I asked Mike if they could just repair the heater that I have now. He sent a "technician" to my house. This so-called technician climbed into my attic and checked my furnace. When he was finished, he told me that the pressure switch was bad, and the blower motor was dying. He claimed that he could not repair the blower motor in the position that the furnace was in because of the frame work the homebuilder made around the furnace. I knew this was a lie, because I am intimately familiar with working on this furnace. I have been around it many times. I am also a Locomotive machinist by trade, so I am familiar with mechanical systems. I explained this to Mike, the owner of Rainier, and he asked me to send him pictures. I had to pay $254.00 for this visit, which Mike didn't bother to return. The next day I asked Mike what the status of my repair was, and he stated he didn't get back to me because he fired the technician that checked my furnace, because the bum didn't want to work. I haven't heard back from Mike since he told me this. I have had yet a third business come check my furnace, and he tells me he can fix my heater. Rainier just wants to put in multi thousand dollar systems in your house. They don't care if you're in the cold in a snow storm. read more

I just moved into a new home and wanted to upgrade our hvac system to better handle the uneven temperature between upstairs and downstairs. Although I know the best way is to probably to ductless system or something similar to a daikin VRV, wanted to look into a zoning system. Had a handful of companies give out an estimate. Rainier heating and cooling was by far the most responsive. Although they were not the cheapest, they did price match a competitor. In addition, they answered all my questions and explained everything to me promptly. They never pressured me into purchasing the install from them and let me take my time deciding. The install itself took 4 days and went pretty smoothly. There were some minor hiccups during install and some dampers did not work but they promptly came back to fix the issues. I can't say enough about Mike, Ryan and Rick. I was frantic after losing my foster cat down one of the heating vents!! That was a first and will be the last!! Numerous other companies were kind but had a 5-6 day wait. When I talked with Mike, he said he would get 2 of his men out within an hr or hr 1/2. Ryan and Rick showed up within an hour. They were kind, compassionate, and went right to work, crawling under the house. After checking all the ducts and the furnace, Ryan found the cat under the sink in the guest bathroom. (both my landlords and myself, had checked there numerous times). We figure that the cat came out another vent (Mike said to open all the vents, when I left the house for about an hr) and hid under the sink. Thank you to all three of you!!! "Ford" says thanks too. P.S. Next time Ford was allowed out of his cage, he went right to all the vents to check them out. He provided me with a fair estimate for a new unit the next day that included moving it to a more desirable location in the yard. About a week later he and two of his employees were out to install. I had a 3-zone ductless heat pump installed in my house. Mike and his crew did a great job on the installation. The outside lines are clean and unobstrusive. They consulted with me to make sure the inside units were placed where I wanted them and where they would be most efficient. They cleaned everything up completely.
