Our move was super last minute and it was during Christmas week. I went on Google to search for movers near my area, Kent, WA to be exact. Found these guys on Yelp, usually I like to make sure businesses have a legit website but this company didn't, but after reading the reviews, I was all for it. I called the number shown and I got a quick respond from Jay. I asked him if he had any availability the next day, which is the day before Christmas Eve and he kindly told me that he can provide a couple of guys and a truck to help me move. The latest was for 5pm. I was super happy that he was willing to help me, especially at a later time. Jay provided me a special December rate and a solid answer so I confirmed and approved his services. I texted him with both addresses and he sent me a confirmation text that we are still on for the next day. I texted him the next morning to make sure we're still set up and he quickly texted back with a Yes. Got home as quickly as I could. It was pouring rain! Two gentlemen were already near the old apartment just waiting. They both kindly greeted me. I told them that all the boxes were taped, labeled, and ready to be put in the truck. They were super quick and careful. They knew what they were doing. They were super careful with both plasma TVs. Everything was put in place and nothing was broken. Took about 45 minutes to get everything in. I was also helping as much as I could. Once we were ready to go to the new apartment, I lead the way and it helped all of us since I knew a quicker way to get there without hitting traffic and the freeway. Everything went well and we arrived to our new apartment. 3 flights of stairs is crazy and I can only imagine how they managed to get everything in my new apartment, without stopping. They were on beast mode! Got everything in and also set back up my bed at no problem. Made sure that I was happy with where they were putting things. Confirmed any last minute changes before they left. I was completely satisfied. I gave them a fat tip just because they deserved it. I always put myself in the other person's shoes. Good service goes a long way. I will most definitely recommend them to friends, family, and people I care about. I love my new apartment as well! Fair pricing. Good service. The guys showed up on time, ready to work. No complaints, hard working, and did a great job of moving a handful of delicate items (huge mirror, a very old picture frame, glass table, etc.). The company is reliable and honest. I had so many other companies who were trying to get more money out of me than what was necessary, and I'm glad that Rainier didn't do that with me. No stupid questions about how many boxes I had, no hiring unnecessary men or bigger trucks. I will definitely use them again for my next move. read more

Guys were great they arrived right on time, moved my 2 bed apartment which wasn't completely packed (they were really patient about it) in 3 hours from shoreline to Bothell. Super efficient, in fact I had a small monitor which was in the front and hidden, they called me straight away and bought it to my new place within 20 mins. Overall great experience. read more

These guys are great movers! I moved from West Seattle to Kirkland and it took about 3 hours. They didn't start the clock until the got to my place & there were no extra mileage fees. It was under $300 for the move & I tipped the guys another $100. They earned it.The guys were fast & efficient & very pleasant to be around. Also very easy on the peepers. Super helpful! I used their services to move from a 1 BR in Seattle to a 1BR in Bellevue. The whole move was completed in less than 3 hours. They arrived late, but still I was happy with the pace with which they worked and finished my move by the evening. They don't have a web site, and that made me wonder, but they were recommended by my building management -- and they were great! They moved a roomful of furniture from suburban Seattle to downtown for me. As I called around for quotes from a few different movers, Rainier was the first to respond (no one actually answers the phone any more) and they gave me the best price. They were very courteous -- on time, and called to let me know when they were 20 minutes away -- moved everything carefully, no damage to furniture or walls -- and when they were done, asked if there was anything else I wanted moved around while they were there! read more

This was the worst experience, they lost one of my boxes and refuse to admit to it, my mistake was I signed off to the deliver guys before counting my boxes after they were delivered, I had 46 and only 45 were dropped off, I'm missing so many things and some were from my mother I will never be able to replace it. I'm trying to dispute the amount I had to pay them. I signed an insurance claimed and the company refused to use it!! My case is close that's what david from rainier emailed me, I have never been treated this way before. This company is not to be trusted, they are crooks. read more

Rainier Moving Company is great for local relocation in the Seattle area. I used them for a move from Issaquah to Tacoma and couldn't believe the ease and efficiency of their work. They were finished in about two hours start to finish! They are also very helpful with disassembling large furniture items if need be. I would definitely recommend these guys to anyone in the area and will use them again if and when I move! read more

Scheduling conflict they were suppose to be at location to pick up at 1:15 and had to go later. Said would be at location between 4-5 pm and finally got there around 6:10 pm. Two guys to move a upright piano. They had to have help moving it out of house and then finally got to drop off location around 7:30 pm. They struggled to get piano out of truck. Finally managed to get it down ramp after much effort. After getting it over lip of doorway finally got it into house. The 2 guys were very nice but I really think they should have had 3 guys because they had such a hard time. The piano had a few nicks out of it from the move. I also found a piece of wood that got torn off from bottom of piano at doorway. I asked if I would get a discount for them being so late and the owner on phone said he would see what he could do. When it was time to pay they didn't give me any discount and the piano was damaged. I would definitely not recommend this company to move anything heavy. The people were very nice though, even though it took them all day and my whole day of plans were screwed up. I also thought it was weird to write the check out to the delivery guy instead of the company. Just wanted to ad the owner never called me back to make it right. Jay, the owner, and his two crew members came through for me this morning at the last minute! They arrived 15 minutes early and were finished in less than 2.5 hours - I moved from Auburn to West Seattle. All my furniture arrived in one piece :) They offered to help set up once everything was moved into the new place. They're super fast and efficient, not to mention friendly and professional. And the prices are very reasonable. I'd definitely recommend their services to anyone and will be referring friends and family for sure. read more

This company is absolutely the worst moving company ever. We had a week to move. I called various movers and checked rates availability etc. I spoke to the owner, Jay at Rainier and they we're able to schedule us with a fair rate. Also promised nothing but complete professioal move ( since last time we moved our movers spit sunflower seed shells all over our new house and old. I mentioned thos to Jay and he said no way would anything like that happen with his movers). On Saturday I texted Jay to confirm our meeting time on Sunday. He texted me back and said we we're on for 10am. I get a text on Sunday saying his movers we're running late and wouldn't be to our place till 10:30~12:30 pm. I was a bit put off but this can happen. At 10:31 am....I received a TEXT (yes text....no phone call) saying the movers we're not coming AT ALL. I was completely taken back. This man can't even call my husband or myself! They are just cancelling us and we have to be out by midnight! Two kids that have to start their new school tomorrow. My Husband and I both have to go to work. Wow! My husband and I call and call and call. No answer. Just the excuse that it is a scheduling issue and Jay is taking all the blame. Again thru a text. Finally Jay calls. An hour and a half later. This is sunday....no moving companies open. He now has a whole other story. Jay says he'll move us anytime this week for $50 an hour not $90. Seriously!!!! Wow. Then he says he has another truck and he's trying to find someone to help and that he's going to do it himself. I also state my Husband is here and can help. I'm thinking "okay, this is going to happen....calm down". Nope never heard from Jay or Rainier moving again. Left us hanging in a very big way. Also cost us an extra $1200.00 for rent because we were not out by the time our lease was up. Plus another $1150.00 in wages for my husband and I missing two days of work....moving ourselves Monday and Tuesday. I could go on and on re: financial costs. We have contacted the BBB and reported this company and our Lawyer. Do not use this company unless you wanted to be stranded on moving day. I'm not over exaggerating this story. In fact I've left a lot out. I do not want this to happen to another family. Moving is stressful enough. read more

We hired Julio and his crew to move us from Woodinville to Olympia. The truck was not big enough so we had to have them come back a second day. Julio did not have enough movers to complete the job and we had to help with the move both physically and by loading our flatbed trailer and make several extra trips. The movers damaged my dining room table and broke the lags off by putting items on top of it. We were told to get it fixed and we would be reimbursed. We had it fixed and requested the money. Julio told us the check was in the mail. It never came. Julio asked us for our personal checking acct numbers and said it would be a direct deposit. The money was never deposited. Julio will not answer the phone or talk to us. Julio owes us money for the damage to out dining room table. I will NEVER use this company again and will tell anyone to NEVER use this company.
