Went here for a birthday party for my friend and we had a very large party. The staff was so incredible at finding us chairs as our party continued to expand. Our dedicated server was really great! She always made sure our drinks were flowing and that everyone was taken care of throughout the night. We also ordered the rosemary parm fries and the spicy chicken for snacks! Stopped by Raised Rooftop and grabbed a B.A.R.B. drink, which I enjoyed while sitting outside and taking in the downtown Chicago lights. The nighttime views were beautiful and exactly what you want from a rooftop bar. Service was good, and the staff was helpful -- especially when something of mine accidentally flew into a restricted area and they assisted me in getting it back without issue. The roped off area were because a lot of tables were marked off for private parties, even though it was late and no one ended up using them before closing. It limited seating a bit, but not enough to ruin the experience. Found a high top and kept it pushing. I love a rooftop bar, and atmosphere is everything for me -- Raised definitely delivered on that front. I'd come back for the views alone. read more

My best friend and I were trying to enjoy a cute cocktail at a rooftop before our show. It felt like we were hunting all over the city for one, but most were packed or had cover fees. This was our third stop and first successful one. It's not a rooftop at all, but it is a nice elevated balcony space! It's on the third floor so you do get a bit of a view of the city. They had plenty of indoor and outdoor seating available. If you want the city views, you'll want to sit outside. We found a couch to sit on and order drinks. We had a server come up to us and take our orders. They do take your card to scan when you order drinks, but give it back immediately. They have QR code scans for menus. Their cocktail list is original and fun! I love that each of their unique cocktails had a photo on their online menu. I went with the Watered Flowers cocktail that had cucumber, rose water, strawberry, vodka, and some other fun stuff in it. It was the perfect spring cocktail. There is a nice view of the river if you sit outside, but it can feel quite cramped and stuffy out there, especially if there's a lot of people. I wasn't a fan of the cocktail I ordered, it had a weird bitter taste and I was hoping for more tangy. It can get quite loud. read more

I've been to this place once before for drinks with coworkers. I was lucky enough to be invited to a Yelp Elite event on the rooftop and my expectations were exceeded. The food was so good! I especially loved the brussel sprouts, and even though I'm not a chicken lover, the chicken bites were amazing! There were other things that I tried and everything was good. As the food was running down, the staff did a great job of replenishing the supply. The bartenders were very nice and the show that was put on and making the drink was quite entertaining. Rooftops in Chicago are some magical especially at night and this one definitely did not disappoint. I love the comfortable seating spaces, the indoor option, and the outdoor bars. This was a nice way to spend my last evening in Chicago. We had a few snack plates -- Crispy Brussel Sprouts, Taiwainese Popcorn Chicken, Salt & Pepper Frites, and the Ahi Tuna Tacos. There wasn't much time between us arriving and sitting before someone came to take our order, and we continually had people coming to check that we were well and had all we needed/wanted. I had the experience to try out this rooftop bar/ restaurant & patio on a Friday evening. It is located inside the hotel. Upon entering the 3rd floor, we made our way to the establishment. There is a hostess and someone to check ID since you have to be 21+ to enter. Seating is first come, first serve and we made our way to the patio. There was a few tables open. The menus outside are with a QR code and a server comes to take your order. They do open a tab for you , then you close it when you leave. We ordered Shirley temples and the salt & pepper fries. The fries come out with ketchup, honey mustard and ranch. They were pretty good. The service was great. Right at 5:30, a lot of people started coming in and waiting for seating outside. If you want to experience a good view of downtown Chicago, I recommend coming in early or reserving a spot on the patio for big groups. read more

Came here for a happy hour social and gotta day, this place gets pretty busy. It's great for being a hotel bar, they even serve small plates which are perfect for sharing. However, if you're looking for larger meals, I would not recommend this place. They do have an extensive drink list, with options ranging from specialty cocktails to beers and wine. I ordered the Rośe before Bros and it was really good! Aesthetically, it looks amazing and tasted even better if you're looking for a drink on the sweeter side. It's not London House, but for being near the river, it's not a bad spot. The servers were kind and very helpful as well. This place is easy to find with quick service and a great ambiance for hanging out and chatting - it is definitely more chill and not so much a party-place in my opinion. We swung by Raised on a crisp fall evening. We could easily walk in without a reservation. The place was relatively full for a weekday night. Even though this rooftop is on the third floor of the renaissance hotel, it still offers an amazing view. We seated right by an outdoor heater and felt cozy throughout. There were a few tables either a small bonfire in between but those were mainly for large parties. It would have been fun if all tables had a bonfire. We ordered the 24 carrot drink, cauliflower poppers, Brussels sprouts and truffle fries. The 24 carrot was so good, it looked literally like a carrot in a glass. I loved the cauliflower poppers. The Brussels sprouts were good too but a bit on the oilier side for me. The truffle fries were just ok. I wish they added more truffle and more Parmesan cheese. The service was relatively fast. The weird part of my experience was that we had to get water ourselves from a separate water station placed by the exit door. I mean, you can server everything on the table but not water? Strange. Regardless, we had a great experience. Definitely a good place to go last minute if you can't find reservations at the other rooftops. read more

3.5** I'm looking for more rooftop bars in chicago so i was excited to try Raised. the views are gorgeous and didn't disappoint!! they dont take reservations so you should try to get there a bit early esp if you want to sit outside. we sat inside but the view was still really beautiful !! i got the arianagroni which was a little on the sweeter side but still rly good, esp if you like negronis. our server was also so sweet and nice! unfortunately, the food was not that good. we got the gnocchi and huaraches to share. the gnocchi was definitely better - the sauce was pretty good but the texture of the gnocchi wasn't exactly right. it wasn't bad but it wasn't the normal texture of gnocchi i'm used to ; it was a little crispy and soft at the same time. the huaraches were pretty flavorless and didn't rlly taste like anything which was pretty disappointing. especially for the prices i wouldn't come here to eat again, but i think this wld be a nice place to just get a drink and enjoy the view read more

One of my vendors hosted a happy hour here. It was my first time since the Renaissance Hotel had been remodeled and I was pleasantly surprised. I had to ask in the lobby how to get to the "rooftop" which is a actually only on the 3rd floor. The restaurant/bar is inside and you go through the place to get outside. The outdoor patio there is very nice. It was packed! We had a nice corner with seating and a food station. We were able to scan the QR code for drinks. I had a couple of their signature drinks, which were delicious. Scanning the menu I saw pricey; fortunately I wasn't paying, this trip. I definitely recommend the shaved Brussel sprouts, corn ribs, shrimp skewers and the parmesan fries with various dipping sauces. The hot chicken/beef sliders looked good but I wasn't that hungry to have more. They also had signature candy bars which I forgot to get. Darn! I had an enjoyable time and would definitely revisit while the weather is nice! read more

This was my 2nd time being at Raised and I will be back again. Mainly for the views/vibes and good service from servers to bartenders. Thank you for that! The only thing I would think about/wasn't my favorite is their prices. We had 4 drinks & fries for a little over $100+ (including tip). Pretty normal prices in comparison to other rooftop bars but definitely something to think about. The fries = spectacular with their dipping sauces! I love a place that isn't stingy with their food, gets a nice rating from me. It was cold outside this day so we were able to go outside but inside is a good time as well. We didn't need reservations or anything & that made our group of 4 very happy! Unlike across the street rooftop, I would go to Raised any day of the week. Thank you Raised staff! The good: elote dip was great. View is nice if you can get a good seat. The waiter was funny. Bad: you have to stand around and compete with other people for a spot; people are always standing around staring waiting for your spot, water is self-serve, the sliders were awful - dry, tasted so bad, and literally made me sick. The cocktails were not good at all and probably also why I got sick after eating here. There aren't many food options. It's so expensive for what you're getting. You have to fight to get a server's attention at times (they are just so busy and it's so chaotic for them with people constantly self-seating and keeping track of everyone). This is a place you go to maybe once or twice, but not somewhere you really want to come back to. read more
