We ordered the 3 piece chicken tenders with fries. The chicken doesn't really have any flavor. My mouth felt weird after I ate 1 tender. The service was good and prompt. You can't deny how much flavor is in the chicken nor how moist every bite is. I don't think any other fast food can complete with canes in chicken fingers. Due to this you can expect lots of people and they're usually really busy so service may seem rushed and you may have to get someones attention to help you with anything. Canes is and always will be a crowd pleaser for us. We just love their fresh tasting chicken fingers and that cajun sauce!!! If we want a good chicken meal, its here now. This place is bigger than the one by the Fountains thank heavens. Hubby and i went on his lunch break and hoped to have enough time to get gelato after. Luckily, service is just as quick and friendly! I had to flag down one of the staff though to get our table cleaned finally, but other than that, we enjoyed our quick and delicious lunch. I went here for the first time and wasn't too surprised. The chicken strips were made fresh to order and were crispy and had the perfect amount of batter. The Texas toast was really good. The crinkle fries were okay. The lemonade was really good (no free refills though) which is probably why it's so good. I hated their sauce. Why only 2 options? And I don't like that coleslaw was my only side option. Who does that? The coleslaw is a very small sized amount and it was nothing out of the ordinary, then again it's just coleslaw. Most of that wait was for cars taking forever to order in front of me. But it was super fast moving from first window to pay to second window to pick up food. If you like the Raising Cane brand you will be more than satisfied with the newest store. The chicken tenders were perfectly breaded and the fries hot tasty. The Cane's sauce, that I was told is made in house so I had to pay for it, was really salty (and I like salt) and honestly tasted like watered down thousand island dressing. The fries are crinkle cut but tiny. They were ice cold when I dug in. The Texas toast was ok but sort of soggy and soft. Not really sure why they have it in there really. You can buy them in box combos, a sandwich, or in tail gate quantities. The box includes Cole slaw ( quite good), crinkle cut fries (I didn't eat mine, so I won't rate them), their secret dipping sauce (tart and a little spicy), garlic toast (looks better on the menu than in the box) and a drink. The drink (mine was lemonade) and the cole slaw were the best parts of the meal. The chicken is OK but it's not hard to find much better at other places. The tartness of the sauce can be overwhelming so use it sparingly. The toast was a little soggy without a crispness. All in all, its a 2.5 star chicken shack but I upped it to 3 to remind me to give it another try. I would think if 'chicken fingers' is part of your name, they would be the best in the world. Not one bit impressed. The presentation is nice, but the chicken is not the best as so many rave about. I kept eating but couldn't figure out what was missing or not as satisfying as I kept wanting it to be. I tried the sauce on it. I tried the Louisiana hot sauce on it. I tried it plain. I couldn't put my finger on it, until I decided to try it without its breading, and then it hit me. If you really pay attention, the only thing that you're really tasting is the breading. The chicken itself is pretty much flavorless and I've actually had way better chicken strips from the frozen food section at Sam's. You do also get a good sized portion of fries, but they're nothing spectacular and I ended up tossing away about a third of them. The tiny cup of coleslaw was also disappointing, not only for its size, but also because it turned out to be just a bitter spoonful of cabbage in a pretty unremarkable slaw sauce. And, the toast was also quite ordinary. Not even washing it down with their sweet tea could end this meal on a high note. It was not sweet enough to be truly southern sweet tea and was more or less that flavor that is neither sweet nor unsweet middle ground that made it feel like I was drinking yesterday's leftovers after being watered down by the melted ice. Nope. Not AT ALL impressed. I paid $9 for my meal which only left me wishing I had traveled up the road a bit more to Bush's Chicken. Yes, Bush's. If you haven't visited them, you're missing out. This review is based on an experience I had at this Raising Canes a couple of weeks ago. I enjoy the food there and go a couple times a month. This time, we went there and placed our order at the drive through. We were the only customer. We went to the window and the employee was leaning out of the window with a drink of ours. We thought it odd as we had not yet paid. He seemed to be in a hurry. My husband opened the window and reached for the drink. As the employee handed the drink, he tilted it and Diet Coke poured out of the lid all over the inside and outside of the door and window and even on to my husband's lap and seat. The employee apologized and handed him some napkins but that ruined my husband's day. We sent a message to their customer service email and received a response that we would get a call from the restaurant's management but we never did. I understand that it wasn't intentional but it was careless and we wanted their management to hear it from us. This shows me that they don't care about their customers. read more
