5 stars!! This particular Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers is superb!! Located in Honolulu's Royal Hawaiian Center [foodcourt], Raising Cane's was most definitely one of the more popular eateries. Having had it only once and it not being fresh, I decided to give them another go and really made my opinion offa piping hot, freshly made food. I went with The Box Combo. This comes with 4pc chicken fingers, crinkle cut fries, Texas toast, and a drink. Service was prompt, friendly, and great overall. Food was just as amazing. The chicken was cooked thoroughly, meat was moist, and the ratio of batter vs protein was good. The crinkle cut fries were crisp and the toast was nice and warm. My only complaint is the skimpy portions of napkins provided but it seems to be the norm at all of the eateries. 5/5 stars. This place made me see why Raising Cane's is so widely popular. I'm ok with giving Raising Cane's Chicken a solid 3 stars. They are located inside the Royal Hawaiian Marketplace food court. There's many tables but it's crowded so grab a table right away if possible! The ordering system is simple and there's just a few meals to choose from. I ordered the 3 Finger meal which includes 3 chicken strips, fries, thick Texas style toast, and a drink. It is a lot of food! The sides are ok, but the chicken I thought was pretty good. The crust is light and the chicken tasted hot and fresh. I noticed in the back kitchen that they are actually hand breading the chicken which is unusual for a fast food chicken place. The dipping sauce is great with the chicken, definitely try it out. We actually ate here twice during our stay in Waikiki, the kids loved it and it's good for a reasonably priced meal. read more

I know Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers has touched down in Hawaii for a while now, but I finally got to try it out! The company was founded in 1996 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The dude and I spotted this while browsing the different food vendors. This is located in the food court area of the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center in Waikiki. Kind of towards the middle of the mall on the 2nd floor. Usually fried chicken or any crispy chicken isn't his jam, but he said the Chicken Fingers from here are pretty good. He was not wrong. The chicken is crispy and perfect! The meat is not dry at all. He also recommended the lemonade as being "the bomb"/ real good. We both opted for the lemonade and it really is pretty delicious. Not too sweet, not too tart, just right. Also noted on the sign that the lemonade and tea are both "Fresh" and "Made all day". I got "The Box Combo". That came with 4 Chicken Fingers, Cole Slaw, Texas Toast, Crinkle Cut Fries, 1 Cane Sauce (AMAZING!) and a 22oz drink. He got "The 3 Finger Combo". I'm so glad this Raising Cane's came to Waikiki! We tried it for the first time a couple months ago and loved how crispy the chicken is without being too oily. Note: I could eat that toasted bread all day! And our combo came with fries and some coleslaw. Recently strolling through Royal Hawaiian Center we decided to try Raising Cane's. This is the first time ever dining at any RC's. The chicken sandwich looked good but we opted to share a four strip meal. There wasn't much of a line so we were able to place our order rather quickly. The meal came out pretty fast and we checked it to make sure everthing was there before we got home to split it. Having never tried RC's we didn't know what to expect. We just knew it was popular and for good reason. The chicken was delicious. I'm thinking the chicken is seasoned or marinated before its breaded and fried. The chicken had so much flavor that it seems hard to believe that it comes from the coating alone. The dipping sauce has like a cajun spiciness with a light creamy texture. Very nice complement to the strips. The toast was nicely toasted and buttered. And it had sesame seeds on the top crust. The taste toasted sesame was a bonus. The slaw was good and somewhat interesting. Low amount of sweetness but lots of onion flavor. It was not swimming in dressing like KFC's either. We got a diet soda as our drink option. I was too busy thinking about KFC and Popeyes chicken and trying to compare them in my head. I wasn't blown away like it was the most amazing thing I ever ate but it definitely wasn't bad. I will definitely have to eat it again to give more feedback. I liked the suave the food came with. The coleslaw was alright too. Am I coleslaw person? Sometimes. Well I had to do it, I wasn't going to write a review but I had to. The management appears to do a great job and ordering the smallest pieces of chicken they can get to maximize profits. The chicken "fingers" are just large chicken nuggets and not worth what they are charging. Only half the time do I actually get the sauce I want but really its just the chicken nuggets that is upsetting. Ive gotten chicken that looks like its cut in half and then fried. 5 pieces of chicken comes out to about $11 and when I get to pick up my order, I have like 8oz of chicken...thats $22 a pound for fried chicken. Im sure the employees there just do their job like they are asked but I know its the management that specifically is ordering the smallest pieces of chicken or telling the employees to cut the chicken in half for cost saving measures. Today was actually the last straw, the last 2 times I had gone there I had to stop myself from getting in to a confrontation with the manager but Its been evident over the last year that they are purposely getting smaller and smaller chicken to save costs but keeping the prices the same. I work in the same mall and I will literally tell every person that its not worth the money. I will never buy from this location again and I will tell all the tourists that this location skimps on EVERYTHING to make a bigger profit.
