I ordered the K-Crispy Chicken "Whole Pieces" and really got ripped off. Out of the 10 Piece box, only 3 pieces, 1 leg, 2 wings were complete pieces. They actually cut in half 5 pieces of the Chicken Backs and each 1/2 counted as a piece of overcooked chicken jerky! I also got a 1/3 of a breast section with bones and not even a 1/2 of a thigh. That totals my 10 pieces. More bones and excess crispy flour then consumable meat. NOBODY gives a Chicken back (or 1/2 a back)! Not Popeyes, not KFC or Zippy's who will remain my Favorite because I will only get ripped off the 1st time, never again. Additionally, they make you buy the sauce, the reason is due to no seasoning on the over floured bread...but it IS Crispy! The Chicken tenders were overcooked and REALLY Chewy around the edges. Just a LOT of breaded Crispy with no flavor, what "Chef" doesn't even use salt? Really, if you're going to risk testing this food, PAY for some sauce! I hope the Owner reads this and realizes that ripping people off by selling broken pieces that most Chef's throw away because they have so little meat on them, isn't going to keep him in business. The profit margin may be up while folks are trying it, spending their hard earn $$$'s, yet not coming back will be the ultimate demise of this business as many other have come and gone doing the exact same thing, not putting themselves in he patron's position. I quite like the new owners of this Korean fried chicken shop! Where Good Chicken once was is now E Chicken, which is run by a sweet Korean couple. Be sure to call ahead, it usually takes ~30 min per order if you call. Takeout only. Service is very polite. Parking is tough because of the area but there are a few spots out front, would generally recommend calling ahead so parking is less stressful. Their menu was a little confusing to me so here is some explanation: K pop chicken- boneless chicken pieces K chicken wings- flats and drumettes (the two parts of a larger chicken wing) K chicken tenders- boneless tenders only K crispy chicken- full wings, thighs, and breast pieces They offer each of these items as a plate lunch too, with a smaller portion of chicken that comes with rice and salad. I personally like the K chicken wings for the variety and higher meat to skin ratio but my husband really likes the K chicken wings. The skin is shatteringly crispy and flavorful and the meat is juicy. Their honey shoyu sauce is the perfect balance of sweet and salty. You can also request the sauce on the side. I've also had the fried rice which was decent and generously portioned. We once had a complimentary house salad given to us which was unexpected kindness. Three and a half stars. This used to be named good chicken. They opened another place in Waikiki then closed this location. I happened to check out Yelp and figured out that they reopened this place under a new name. The chicken isn't completely the same and feels a bit sweeter. I spoke to the sweet lady named Sunny who said she is the owner. She also told me that next week there will be a soft opening to another chicken place which will include Korean style pizza. The name will be Eat Pizza Chicken Boys and is located near Yogurstory. Good luck to them and hope to go there after the hype dies down. I ordered boneless chicken wings (two sauces, but received one), tteokbokki (delicious), and all came with a cute little salad. As I said the chicken wings seem to be on the sweeter side. I wanted spicy and a shoyu. I think this time I only received shoyu. Good chicken used to slice jalapeño so I'm not sure by the pictures shown that that kept the original recipes. The flavor is tasty, just on the sweeter side for me. The tteokbokki was tasty and had good flavor. The salad is an element that I wish they will switch to a Korean pickle instead. I will return for I think I didn't taste the spicy chicken and Sunny graciously told me to reorder my order next time for they didn't give me the correct order. I know people love KFC. I am not people...I do not like KFC. It's always too sweet. That's why I like this one...it is not sweet. Yes, the sauce on the side is, but the chicken itself has a nice simple flavor and doesn't even need sauce. Hubs drove for lunch...good cuz had construction and trucks and traffic and it's just too much for me sometimes. Called in the order. We got there fast but only waited maybe 5 min. Hubs got the wings plate. Yum. But previously he had green salad and today was mac...we prefer green usually. She didn't ask. If you bring the brochure and show it you can get a free soda with your plate. She didn't ask what he wanted so he got some purple prebiotic drink. I didn't want rice and salad so just got chicken. It's a fact that we love KFC Korean Fried Chicken...we I do but after some decision and E Chicken Ward has been on my list it wasn't for the chicken but they also have traditional Korean food as well that I seriously didn't know they serve as well. Getting there is easy it's right on Kawaiahao Street and they do have dedicated stalls right in front of the restaurant but what's surprising is that there's no one really to greet you as you order your food using the provided kiosk and a ticket prints out. I can hear the kitchen started to prepare my food which was #22 Spicy Beef Soup (yukgaejang) as it's starting to get cooler at nights and it was a rainy day thinking that soup will give me the much needed energy was needed and it was quite affordable at $15.65 inclusive. What I didn't like is that there's no interaction or modification on the kiosk though I'm sure I could've shout it out just that it was all very impersonal getting home the sides was basically your typical local plate lunch of rice, Mac salad and tossed salad nothing Korean about it and the soup not as hot as I hoped (both temperature and heat) loved that it had basically no green onion (strange it's supposed to be more of it) few beef chunks but did love that it was filled with various veggies. Personally I can only speak about the tofu soup which was SO GOOD. Different than others I've had, but this one had a clam base which made the flavor just delicious. I'm full already but I'm still eating it. Comes with rice, tossed greens, and macaroni carrot salad. My husband is in this chicken crave. So since I was going to pick up things at target ala moana he said some yelpers went to this chicken place on Kawaihao street. Came about 10:30am and parking stalls were available in front of their kiosk. They don't have indoor seating but have 1 small table outside either to eat there or wait for your take out order. E Chicken Ward did not disappoint. When we arrived, there was no line at all. I think the owners were the ones helping out, and they were super friendly and answered all my questions. My husband and I ordered the chicken wings with fries and guava lemonade. We asked for the honey shoyu and k-bbq yangnyeom sauces on the side. It only took about 15 minutes for our food to come out, and it was hot and fresh. There was a table outside, but we just decided to sit in the car instead.
