Shortly drinks were served followed by the 4 slices of rolls which was wonderful. Next came the hot and sour soup which was very tasty. The lettuce wrap was impressive. Generous portions of both the lettuce and the meat was awesome. The entree's were amazing. The oolong Sea bass was different from what I was used too but just as good. The Mongolian beef, my old standby was good as expected Lastly, our favorite banana spring roll. This is going to be a mixed review, BUT I'll start off by saying that we will for sure go again Food: Kung Pao Dragon Roll - The seared ahi was fresh and the spicy peanuts added a delicious kick to the roll. We thought it was a really creative combination of flavors that worked well together. My fave thing we ordered. Chicken Lettuce Wraps - One of the dishes they're known for. Very flavorful and a good portion. Worth giving a try! Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice - The spicy tuna was tasty and fresh but the crispy rice was a little too well done. It was so crispy that it was actually hard to bite into. Service: We had a late lunch around 1pm and were seated in the bartender's section. We were a little confused by his style of service. In the middle of our meal, while we were literally mid-bite, he asked if we wanted takeout boxes without first asking how everything was or if we wanted to order anything else. We were clearly still eating and ended up finishing all of the food on our plates. He also dropped off the check while we were still eating, again without asking if we wanted anything else. On top of that, he had a show or something playing pretty loudly from his phone in his pocket so anytime he was near our table, we could hear it. To top this off, we told my gf about this experience, she went the next day for the first time and had the SAME experience herself by the same bartender/server. With that being said, he was very nice and knowledgeable about the menu it's just his style of service was just a little odd. This was my first time dining at PF Changs! I always walked past thinking it was a Chinese restaurant but was just told that they serve sushi! So I made reservations on my lunch break and was promptly seated by a friendly hostess. I usually prefer a patio seating but it has been horribly hot and muggy out lately, so I'm really glad that she brought me straight indoors to the pumping cold AC. The restaurant was pretty empty, only one other table indoors at the time. My server, who was also manning the bar, was ready to take my order after bringing water to the table. I already knew i wanted the crispy rice, and decided to try the kung pao roll because it was advertised on the menu to be spicy. I waited about 20-minutes for the sushi to be served. Good thing I had my Kindle to keep my company. I thought the cripsy rice was good, but the kung pao was not spicy at all. We had dinner at PF Chang's Waikiki. Our server was absolutely amazing--friendly, attentive, and made us feel so welcome from start to finish. I ordered a cocktail that reminded me of a lemon drop, and it was delicious. The food was really tasty too, and it definitely made me want to come back and try more of the menu. The only small thing was the teriyaki sauce on the kids' meal. It tasted a little more like orange marmalade than teriyaki, so our kid wasn't very happy. They brought him another dish with another sauce on the side. He liked the "dry" chicken this time around. Huge bonus points for being dog-friendly and letting us bring our pup to dinner. Why did it took me so long... Yes I've never ever been to a P.F. Chang's and as much as I've given grief to others that came into the same situation...where have I been!? I am happy to have friends like Terry K who says ok let's go...and here we are lol! Located in Waikiki the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center to be exact so parking isn't the issue here and yes they validate making it easy as well to park and dine at your leisure as we did so along with couple of others making it a nice and relaxing way to end our day. Of course we started with drinks and Strawberry Cucumber Limeade refresher sounded just the drink to have as it was nice and not too sweet, very easy to sip and was very refreshing but I didn't know where to begin so she ordered what they're know for is the Chang's Lettuce Wrap which was not just delicious but refreshing and light. Moving on to some heartier items it was the BBQ Pork Spare Ribs, Signature Lo Mein, Crispy Green Beans, Egg Rolls and what a feast the spare ribs was nice and tender slightly sweet but very easy to eat, egg rolls was sliced in half very delicious with lots of fillings, the green beans was fried to perfection and I just couldn't stop munching on them and the Signature Lo Mein was a delicate bite filled with veggies I really enjoyed it but was hitting the limit as I grazed throughout the conversations. Staff was nice and food came out very fast I did love the vibe though we were in Waikiki it was still very relaxing and chill as there weren't much folks dining in yet. Arrived after 3 pm today, Thursday. Was sat in the main dining area which is left of the bar at the base of the stairs. It's 10 pm and my stomach is hurting so bad it was the only thing I ate today. All the doors are open up front and we just don't care about the birds.. anyway birds proceeded to jump on tables and walk over all the plates and silver ware that are already set at the tables. They eventually leave. Waitress comes by I tell her what just went down on the three tables to the left of me and I would like new plates. She says well I just set these out but sure I'll get you new. We receive new plates we order dinner apps arrive and simultaneously our waitress is seating about 16 people in the three tables next to us that just got trampled on by pigeons and no one EVER cleaned the table or changed the plates or silverware out.... So I tell the people what happened. I was a Karen and idgaf because now my stomach seriously hurts and I'm sure that several and manager and anyone else working at the moment does not GAF about the birds trampling over your dinner plates. Close the doors for the love of God. If you know birds are coming in why are you playing the tables before guests arrive. It's absolutely disgusting. I have always loved PF Chang's but I have to give this location in Waikīkī a thumbs down. It did not operate or feel like the PF Chang's I have experienced in the past. My server was mostly nonexistent. She left me there with an empty glass of water and waiting to order a second drink. When I did see her I would have to flag her down even though she was within eye shot of me. Grrrrr. We came here at 9:05 pm to just get a cocktail or almost an hour before close. The bar had 2 people on the bar. The bartenders were just standing around. We asked to go to the bar for just one drink and leave. The hostess said they were not seating anyone else on the bar after 9 pm even though it was empty. Huh?? Bartenders were standing around. What?! It's a 10 pm close. We just wanted one drink, but they didn't care. We would have been there for 15 minutes. Customer service was bad, uncaring and unreasonable. We went back to a local tiki bar nearby who welcomed us with open arms. This is the first time in a while that we've been to PF Changs. Sadly, for my wife and I, the food was very below par and not what we remembered. Small portions, undercooked veggies, plain taste. Our waitress was very nice. I was so excited to try the miso lobster dumpling. It wasn't the same as what I had while I was on the mainland. Here, the inside of the dumpling is a paste and not actual pieces of lobster like the mainland. I had to ask the server if pork dumplings was given to me by mistake. Where to start..? Ive been to this location couple of times and endured some lackluster service which is fine given it's waikiki. I get it, tourist town, big name company, they probably dont care. But...take a look at the napkin. NO REALLY, LOOK AT THE NAPKIN. I can only imagine what goes on behind the scenes. Hopefully the HI dept of health takes a look. Over priced Panda Express. Bland over priced food. The only reason we passed through was to use a coupon. Restaurants should adjust their POS systems to show totals with and without coupon so customers and tip appropriately. It's a lot to ask a customer to add back the cost of an item. We came here for their lunch specials which was a good value. We ordered the shrimp pan fried dumplings that were really good. They were the best part of the whole meal! My Mongolian beef was ok, not the best. I didn't expect it to be sweet so that caught me off guard. In general my food didn't have much flavour to it. The egg drop soup was good. My brother had the teriyaki chicken and wasn't impressed either. His spring roll was ok as well. His beer was at a good temperature, my coke was not there. It was lacking something, it didn't taste right. On top of that, my glass was dirty in the inside with something that looked like orange juice pull stuck to it. Service was good with the outdoor seating. The only miss was that we were not given the card back and had to come back at night to get the credit card. Overall, it's just ok not good/great. P.F. Chang's has really gone downhill since they were bought by private equity. I had a 5:30 reservation and checked in a few minutes early. They didn't even try to seat me for 20 minutes. It wasn't even busy yet. If you get a reservation, consider getting one half an hour earlier to account for delays. The food quality is much worse than I remember from when I lived near one. The orange chicken used to come out crispy, and the sauce had real orange flavor and some complexity that wasn't just sugar. Now, it's as if they watered down some marmalade and soaked the chicken in it. It wasn't crispy and it wasn't good. I suspect the ownership are cutting as many corners as they can so they can make money driving the restaurant into the ground. The ambience was ok. It's all dark wood and low lighting. No complaints. Bottom line? Go to Panda Express. Sure, the ambience sucks, but the food is better than P.F. Chang's. read more

We made reservations on OpenTable. It was a Saturday when we went there for late lunch. You can park at Royal Hawaii Shopping center and get your ticket validated but still a little pricey. We started with some appetizers. I got the bean tempura and that was delicious. And my meal I got the beef stir fry with the fried rice. It was delicious. Pleasantly surprised! Haven't been to PF Chang's since it was near Ward. Hosts were not friendly, no smiles, no welcome to PF Chang's, nada, that was the only down side, you would think especially in Waikiki where there are tourists galore, not a great representation of the Aloha spirit, but we were seated right away, that was great! Our server was welcoming! Nice decor, Asian themed, red , black and gold, dragons and a staircase with nice art on the walls. Food and drinks came out fast, hot and everything was tasty! Where do I even begin on what was a lengthy trip from Waipahu to Waikiki? I had no idea what I was in for in terms of where I wanted to eat at, so...I guess finding myself at P.F. Chang's somehow convinced me to go eat over there for today. I have "sort of" heard about this place, but never ate over there. I'm just as surprised it just so happens to be in the Waikiki area. The place delivers in terms of the atmosphere and setting, that's for sure. Because it definitely feels like the kind of place where it definitely feels like a Chinese restaurant. I had a great lunch over there, which was their lunch special Chang's Spicy Chicken with brown rice and some Egg Drop Soup to eat with it. Super filling and definitely delivered in the presentation. At first, I didn't think it was too spicy, but having ate 3/4ths of my meal, that's when the heat started kicking in. The heat kind of cooled off after a bit, but at least it wasn't like...'in your face' or anything. Overall, in terms of experience, I'd say this was really enjoyable. Would I come back there again?
