It's been a while since I've had MVP Grill. Tonight, we were craving burgers and decided to grab some food to go. My boyfriend and I each ordered a bacon cheeseburger and split a 1/2 order of Cajun fries. The bacon cheeseburger is still delicious, as always. Since I couldn't decide between raw or grilled onions, I decided to get both. I love onions, so I really enjoyed it! The cheeseburger was huge, but they must be using good oil because it didn't taste greasy and I didn't get heartburn afterward. The fries were hot, crispy, and delicious. The Cajun seasoning is so good and I feel like they've improved the flavor of their fries. A 1/2 order was more than enough for the two of us to share. Customer service was good. I've been coming to MVP Grill for many years, ever since they opened, and I've never had a bad experience. It's still one of my go to spots when I'm craving a good burger! read more

There are three places in Long Beach and I know where they all are. I hadn't been to one yet so I chose my first to be at the Stearns location. It's a completely outdoor seating restaurant with big tables on either side. The guys in the kitchen put out food pretty quick. We kept things simple and bought cheeseburgers. The Cajun dressing was an interesting touch, but pretty good. I haven't had something like that before so I'll try something else on their menu. My wife had the Cajun seasoning fries but felt like there was too much of them. She was happy with the result though. read more

Gotta love a great local spot! Was in Long Beach to visit a friend and decided to stop by MVP's Grill & Patio. Was in the mood for a burger, so I went with The Fridge, which is a burger with pastrami and Swiss cheese. This was a legitimately great burger! Every burger comes with 1/3 lb patty, lettuce, tomato, Cajunaise dressing, and raw or grilled onions (I went with the grilled onions). You can definitely tell the quality of the burger is raised by the fresh ingredients and tasty meat. My friend ordered a Harry Careyclub Wins and a Jimmy Foxx. Had a bite of both and they were both great as well. Staff here are great, no complaints from me. Definitely a great spot for some casual eats! A long-standing staple for the community. I've gone here since high school, went through college (csulb) going here... absolutely must try. The burgers have been consistently good and well portioned for YEARS. They're generous with their sizes for their burgers and their fries (a full order of fries can feed 3-4 people easily). The prices have unfortunately continued to go up, but that's expected with inflation. I'd still recommend it despite the price. Service is as good as you'd expect for a burger stand. Good, but don't expect fine dining service. You're ordering at a window, keep that in mind. There is only outdoor seating, which can be brutal in extreme weather. Still worth it though. The ambiance gets loud because you're outside, near a car repair shop, and also near the airport so planes are going to continue to fly over. It's great! I recommend this spot for a chill, laidback local burger joint. It's been a staple for Long Beach locals for years and will continue to be. read more

Great neighborhood spot for hearty burgers & good vibes! MVP Grill & Patio in Long Beach is the place to hit up for decent burgers and sandwiches. I came here on a weekend afternoon and was not disappointed. The menu is huge -- all the burgers named after famous athletes, which is a fun touch. I went with the Christian Ronaldo sandwich and it was juicy, fresh, and cooked perfectly. The Burger was decent but I find it lack in seasoning. The portions are generous, especially the fries -- you won't leave hungry! Worst burger I ever had. I got the Mike Tyson the bread tasted terrible. Everything didn't taste good in it just had a really bad after taste ended up eating at Wienerschnitzel after. I typically phone in my order to save some time & the service is always a plus! Staff are usually friendly & informative. I've been to all the locations and this one and the one on 4th street are terrible. 1st incident I ordered chili cheese fries and I was served uncooked fries and a cold burger. 2nd incident I decided to try this one the stearns location and again I was served a half uncooked bag of fries and the other half crispy. Terrible terrible food service. The food isn't the same like it once was when they were located on loma and 4th. After that they completely went downhill. Decent cheeseburgers with a classic cookout taste. I came here and got their cheeseburger (I forgot which one it was on the menu as it's extensive) and their chili fries. The chili fries were ok they weren't exactly chili fries it was just beans and ground beef. Was dry but still enjoyed. The cheeseburger however was very good thick angus patties and felt comforting. I know this place is a Long Beach local classic and you get a good portion of food for the price. It's not that it's bad at all, but it's just nothing great. There are much better burgers out there, but this is a perfectly fine "fast food" style burger. The cajanaise sauce is what gets to you! It works well with everything! Fries and onions rings too. And best way to make a sandwich better: ADD AVOCADOS!!! I decided to treat myself to lunch on a friday afternoon at MVP Grill since I wanted a burger. I drive by this place on a daily basis and there are typically a few folk eating here. Unfortunately for me there was some construction going on that day so I had a hard time navigating how to enter the parking lot but I did manage to get there at some point. It's a relatively small parking lot so I suggest either walking here or parking somewhere on the street. I ordered a hamburger combo and after tax it was $15, for me that's pretty average for lunch nowadays. I waited about 10-15 minutes for my order and it got pretty busy after that. The burger was massive, definitely worth the price. The fries were fresh but I got regular seasoning and didn't think there was anything too special about it. Next time, I will try cajun seasoning on the fries. I really liked that they gave me pickled carrots, something I've never seen before but really enjoyed. read more

Service is pretty fast considering how many people all up and order. It's our door seating only and a great place if you are at the park or doing some shopping. My coworker bought me this burger; George Foreman II bacon cheese burger w/ mustard lettuce and pickles only. I ATE IT COLD and it was still fire! One of the best burgers I've had. It was huge too!
