I love the box meal; the chicken is in very generous proportions. The fries are also really good. If you go during the month of St. Patrick's day, they have a green lemonade would recommend. My dad, me, and my sisters would pick up there often. The workers are nice and usually not busy later in the day, from like 10 pm to closing. First time here. Went the drive thru it went pretty quick, however my order was incorrect. They forgot the sauce that I paid extra for. And from my understanding that is a must have. The chicken was pretty moist and there was plenty of food. We got 5 combos. We prob could have shared 3. Especially for the price. I think it was over $80. I have been waiting for Raising Cane's to open in the Salinas area, and happy to say that on opening day it did not disappoint! I knew that there was a loong line during the day so my brother and I decided to go during the later evening. Drive thru was busy- but if you go inside.. we didn't have to wait at all and food came out faast! (That's why it's called fast food lol) Anyone who knows me, knows that I recently discovered and am a big fan of Raising Canes. My top picks? These are good solid fried chicken strips. I've been both in the drive thru and in the store and neither are very well organized. The drive thru has two lanes,but only one window. The lane away from the window is serviced by a worker that has to cross traffic to deliver food to customers. They move pretty slowly. Inside isn't much better. It's pretty industrial, loud, and the traffic isn't much better. Fortunately, the chicken strips are pretty good, certainly better than Chick Fillet down the street. The breading is crunchy, the meat moist, and the sauce is better than most. It's a bit pricey for just chicken strips, but everything seems too expensive these days. 7.5/10. If it's a choice between this and Chik Filet, go here. read more

Went through the drive through for a quick meal. Ordered the four strip meal with coleslaw and fries and Texas toast. I always ask for the fries to be crispy otherwise I feel they are undercooked. (Personal preference). The chicken was moist and breaded lightly accompanied with Canes special dipping sauce. The fries were a tad salty. The coleslaw was fresh. We go to Raising Cane's in Texas now we don't have to travel that far. Went there for lunch. Since they are still in the grand opening phase there was plenty of help and the order came out quickly and hot. The chicken fingers had a good breading on them and fried well and the fries were cooked just right. There is seating indoors and outside. With the place being kept very clean. They offer sweet and unsweetened ice tea. The employees and the manager were all very nice and helpful. Now we just need a Whataburger out here. read more

I've always loved raising Cane's ever since my first trip there. The chicken is fantastic that's sauce! There's nothing like it. You end up dipping your fries the chicken and the Texas toast in it and it's all good. I love the free refills on soft drinks cause I'm a pig like that. Drive thru Sunday around 11:00 am. Chicken was crispy but lacked flavor. The canes sauce is just ok. The honey mustard sauce is watery like soup. The sauces were not labeled. The fries were crunchy but needed flavor. Asked for ketchup but wasn't in the bag. The coleslaw was crunchy but nothing special. The bread was a bit mushy. The coke didn't taste like coke. The 4 piece "fingers" combo $15.09. The drive thru is crazy. The car next to us was handed the wrong order and got to keep the order that wasn't theirs plus their order. The girl working the drive thru had to squeeze between the building and our truck in order to hand us the bag of food and two drinks. We sat in the parking lot sampling our meal watching cars come into the drive thru line and cars leaving the drive thru. There is going to be backed up traffic in that area as there is not enough space for the coming and going. Bad planning on those logistics. Then the guy taking out the trash has to cross traffic in order to reach the trash bins. Drivers BE AWARE! Unfortunately I see accidents in the near future. Drivers be aware and avoid problems when going to Canes Not organized at all in the parking lot / drive thru / trash bins area. I won't return. I'll stay with chick-filet! read more

My family and I went there through their drive thru to get some food to take home, recently as we heard of this place. It was okay, not as great as I thought it would be. There is a limited menu with either fried chicken strips or fried chicken sandwich. The only side I saw was crinkle fries. Do not expect to find anything healthy on the menu except diet coke. No grilled chicken, no salads, and no other side alternatives besides fries. Come on! Only fries as a side?!? Seriously?!? Most restaurants have various side choices. Anyhow, I tried the sandwich and it was delicious with huge pieces of chicken. Their special sauce that is in the sandwich reminds me of thousand island dressing. The sandwich was very satisfying. However, I thought prices were still a slight high for a combo- sandwich or strips, soft drink and fries for about $13. For that price, I would rather go to a nice sit down restaurant like IHOP, Chili's or Dennys. At least now I know what it is like to go here. read more

First impressions, from a distance - ample personnel, great signage directing to their drive-up, and looking like a very near approximation to the local Chick-fil-A (except that Cane's was open and it was a Sunday afternoon). Closer inspection and our ordering experience - not a huge line, so quick service, yet the rushed young man taking our order met our car far from the first menu available. He was impatient with us not knowing what our options were, explaining that chicken fingers were $2 each (then correcting himself that they are $2.39) and giving us the total for six of them plus two large cups of Coke Zero. The next staff we met had a bag of food to hand to us, along with the two cups. We parked in the lot under a lovely shade tree and opened the bag. What was and wasn't in the bag - We received a plastic box with six chicken fingers of about an inch to inch-and-one-half in diameter, and in lengths ranging from three inches (2 of the strips) to five inches (1 of the strips). No sauce of any kind, when we'd assumed there would be some - the sauce was a point that others had mentioned to us previously - and just one straw for the two drinks, along with two napkins. The breading and chicken was nicely cooked - but unexpectedly bland. Again, others' reports of how grateful we should be that Cane's had come to town? They had definitely raised our expectations. Perhaps excessively. My wife and I repeated at least three times to each other: "They're new." And when the front of the house (or driveway, as it were) and the back of the house find their rhythm in a few months, we might try again, if we're in the mood for chicken strips on a Sunday. Otherwise, there's a proven alternative just up the street. And, frankly, even though there's no drive-thru at either place, there are strong performers available from the delis at either Safeway or Lucky - even on Sunday. If you're among the Raising Cane's fans out there - I'd love to hear what it is that draws you back, especially if you're driving past other nearby options to get there. read more

I was really excited about this new Raising Cane's location. I love the aesthetics of the restaurant, and I've been looking forward to it opening for a while, so my expectations were high. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. When we arrived around lunchtime, we were told while ordering that they had already run out of fries. In addition, the restaurant was very messy and didn't appear to be well maintained. The tables weren't wiped down after usage and the most concerning issue was the restroom. When I attempted to use it, there was feces all over the toilet seat, which was extremely unpleasant and unacceptable. I know it wasn't their fault but I think having staff constantly check for cleanliness would be effective. I'm hoping this was an off day and that things improve, because I really enjoy Cane's and was excited to have this location nearby. read more

I tried Raising Canes once before in Las Vegas. While it was not very rememberable it wasn't the awful experience I just had. It was opening day and the drive thru line was about 40 mins but that isn't the issue. The issues are... they messed up my drink order, they didn't give the extra sauce I paid for, the chicken strips were rediculously tiny, and barely any fries. On top of that the food had way too much salt. I was shocked at how small the chicken strips were! I know the chicken strips weren't this small before and they gave a ton more fries. I am glad they messed up on the drinks because it took both drinks just to get through the saltiness of two of those tiny strips and half the fries. The sauce is not that great either. Total waste of money and time. Go get your chicken strips and fries somewhere else. I definitely won't be going back. read more

The food here is always pretty spot-on and fresh, however the service (as well as the service at the Salinas Chick-Fil-A) is terrible. During my last visit I ordered extra sauce and extra chicken fingers in the drive-thru. I received my order fairly quickly but once I drove away from the restaurant, I looked inside the boxes and found that the extra chicken and sauces were missing. I then had to drive back to the restaurant, park, then walked inside to have the issue addressed. Once I told one of the employees at the front counter what had happened, I didn't receive an apology, "sorry for the inconvenience", or any sign that they cared they got my order wrong. By the time I got home, my food was already cold. I don't feel like I have to be doing the job of a Cane's employee every time I try to get food here, especially if I am paying for extra items. It's nice that we are getting more businesses here in Salinas, but just know the service will be hit or miss. If you want good service, just make the drive up to San Jose and visit those locations. read more
