The atmosphere is very welcoming! One thing that really stood out, and I haven't seen many restaurants do this -- is that they offer you a small sample of the food before you order. That little touch made a huge difference! It helped me decide on the right heat level for my chicken and narrow down which sides I wanted. Such a simple gesture, but so thoughtful. I ordered the H-Town wings with the hot honey sauce and a side of their homemade ranch -- and WOW. The wings were incredible, and that ranch? Delicious doesn't even cover it. I also ordered the leg and thigh Korean style, and while the flavor was amazing, it was a bit too saucy for my taste. I hate sending food back, but I knew I wasn't going to eat it -- so I did. And let me tell you, they handled it with such grace and kindness. No attitude, no awkwardness -- just genuine, outstanding customer service. That right there says everything about the kind of establishment Tumble 22 is. I couldn't even finish everything (portions are generous!), but the leftovers reheated perfectly in the air fryer the next day. I will absolutely be back -- especially for those H-Town wings. Go try them. You won't regret it!

I ordered at 9:30 in time for pick up at 9:50 before they closed at 10. We ended up standing and waiting until 10:15 before we finally got our order. We basically had no updated communication for over 20 minutes and just stood there while they went to go "check on it". Hot chicken: juicy and flavorful. It wasn't too spicy so I'll go up to Mo hot next time Broccoli salad: surprisingly good and refreshing with the chicken Collard greens: this was also pretty good and would get again Mac n cheese: nothing special but decent Szechuan fries: pretty good, except I didn't taste and Szechuan flavor. Instead I tasted a wasabi like flavor instead that was still good but not as advertised If it wasn't for the decent tasting food and the free app I got for making an account with them I probably would have given only two stars. I'm a little hesitant on ordering with them again due to this experience as there are many other decent hot chicken spots that are more efficient

Happy national chicken salad! Thanks to Chicken Salad Chick. All of their US locations will be…read moreoffering a free scoop of chicken salad today. It was my first time patronizing the business so I truthfully did not know what to expect. I thought I would be getting just a scoop of chicken salad in a cup to go but little did I know that it would be an entire meal! So they definitely over exceeded my expectations after ordering. After ordering, you were just told to give them a name and have a seat. I was a bit confused on what to do. I saw some people sitting down, but there wasn't much sitting area available for to go orders so it was kind of awkward a bit, but I will say the layout of the restaurant would allow for you to set a table and wait so that could be another option as well. The setup is very fast casual and the inside is well lit and clean. Even the drink and condiment area was nicely organized. Honestly, I must return because I do like spiciness so if you do as well, the kickin Kay or buffalo Barclay will surely do the trick. truthfully, the kicking Kay would be my choice, but if you are not a spicy person, but you do like savoriness than the sassy Scotty will surely do the trick. So if you are near Chicken Salad Chick today, I would highly recommend downloading the app and checking them out. Even if you are not able to go today, apparently you can redeem the offer in the app and use it within 90 days. So there's no rush. The only thing that I wish I would've known was that you can sample the chicken salads so utilize this as a pro tip when choosing. As it definitely would have detoured my decision based off of the recommendation that the cashier gave me. Luckily, I did like the sassy Scotty, but I would have ultimately chose something else if I would have known that I could sample the chicken salad prior to ordering. The only reason why I knew that was because I overheard the manager, offering it to the customers after me. Not a knock on the cashier that assisted me, but it should definitely be something offered if they know that customers are indecisive.

I didn't know there was one in Memorial until my administrative assistant suggested it for her birthday with lunch. We were all glad she did because we actually loved it. We dined in on a Wednesday afternoon. The place is somewhat hidden down Gaylord Street behind A Moveable Feast where we ate at for another manager's birthday lunch. The GPS might throw you off a bit. The parking strip is pretty busy, but you can still find a couple spots. It was kind of empty when we came in just before noon. It did get busy after that. You line up and order at the registers, and they give you a number marker to deliver your meal to your table. There's partial booth and low table seating inside. There's fountain drink and tea at the far end of the dining area towards the single gender restrooms. I don't remember what I tried years ago, so I went with the one scoop and two sides. I had the traditional Classic Carol, loaded potato soup and grape salad. My admin asst raved about it, so I had to try. Plus, I needed some fruit in my life. The Classic Carol is plain with celery, mayo and their secret seasoning. I liked that the celery was not overpowering. In fact, I couldn't really see it. I thought it was ok paired with the wheat crackers. I shared some with my other coworker who ordered Olivia's Old South which has sweet pickles and hard boiled eggs. I think I liked that version better. I would like to try the Cranberry Kelli next time which has dried cranberries and slivered almonds. I've had all kinds of chicken salad. It's one of my faves at HEB and will order chicken salad sandwiches at different delis. I grew up with my family making chicken salad, as well. The loaded potato soup was great. It came topped with crispy bacon pieces and shredded cheese. The cup of soup was hot and had nice chunks of potato. The potatoes were soft and perfectly cooked. I ate about half the chicken salad scoop with crackers since the soup made me full. I tried the grape salad and saved the rest. It was delicious. It has a sweet cream cheese sauce over the grapes and is topped with a sprinkle of brown sugar and chopped pecans. My admin asst was right! I also liked their tea, which I mixed with sweet and unsweetened. Other items our group enjoyed was the pimento cheese sandwich, chicken melt and the small sugar cookies the meals came with. I gave mine away. This is definitely a great lunch place option. It's right off the I-10 freeway, so it's nearby a lot of work places including ours. I'm sure we'll be back here even though it is a little pricey. My meal was about $15-16. As a side note, I'm glad we didn't experience having large pieces of cartilage in our chicken salad as other reviews mentioned.

I made it early before friends and I noticed a lot of fellow Asians and I'll assume some of them were Koreans. Don't let the humble atmosphere or environment keep you from expecting a flavor explosion. The food was perfectly fried and seasoned to perfection. The original chicken didn't even need sauce and the sweet and spicy chicken was heavenly experience of flavor. We also ordered the regular fries and truffle fries. Both great. I'm not a ketchup person at all and these fries were great enough to not use extra sauce. The service was great. As soon as we sat (around dinner time on a Saturday) we were immediately taken care of from the waitress that was also working at the register. 10/10 experience!

BEST CHICKEN IN THE CITY!!…read more This place is phenomenal! It's in a busy little market corner and you walk into an unexpectedly clean, quiet, cozy atmosphere. This place is family owned, the waiting staff is quiet but nice and very helpful. You place your order or ask for help by hitting a button on the table which I think is a great "raise the flag" type of feature. The food, where do I start! Appetizers: While I love there truffle French fries, there onion rings are always my go to for the appetizer here! Big portion, full onions fresh cut and battered, fried crispy with a bit of parley for garnish! Served with a spicy kewpie mayo sauce. 8/10 Main: The star of the show is the WINGS! I always get the Spicy Soy 6-10pc, it's the perfect blend of salty, sweet, and spicy. If you need an extra bit of kick don't worry, the wings come served with some fresh cut chilis and rice puffs if you need a quick cool off! The wings are consistently fried to perfection, piping hot and sized similar to Wing Stop so you will not leave hungry! 9/10 This is my favorite spot for Korean fried chicken and I will continue support this amazing mom and pop!

Me and a friend split the Kebab Land mix that was recommended for 1 person, but it was the perfect amount of food for two people. The shish kebab skewer was super tender and had good flavor and the beef skewer was also tasty, but just a bit tough in my opinion. The chicken was moist and had a good charred flavor. The rice and grilled tomatoes were standard though the homemade bread was a bit thin and bland. Considering the bold flavors from the other elements of the food, the bread did complement it well. (6.5/10) Overall, the food is very comparable to other restaurants that serve this kind of cuisine. I think this place is definitely filling in a gap as there are not many other places in this area that serve this kind of food. If I were craving some kebabs and didn't want to drive too far I would definitely come back here. The owner was also super kind And the service was quick. Something else to note is that they only have bottled water that they charge for but the hot tea is free. The ambiance is super casual and parking is super easy because there are a ton of spots around as it is apart of a huge plaza.

He ordered chicken tender sliders he said were off the menu and I got the single Chubby combo. Came with canned soft drink and fries. The place is small, 4-5 table, and menu pretty strait forward, but don't let that fool ya. Food came out pretty fast. First the fries were perfect - crispy perfect. Dipped into their Chubby sauce, they were great. As for the slider, patty was perfect, grilled onions, cheddar cheese melted - just the right size for someone who usually splits a burger with the wife or has left-overs. My son had tender sliders with some sauce on them. Looked good and he scarfed them down. He also had a banana milkshake - something I wouldn't order but the flavor was certainly there. You certainly won't be disappointed in the quality of the food.

Interesting…read moreconcept, as the only other slider "restaurant" that comes to mind is White Castle, to which I haven't been so cannot speak to how this compares. I placed an online order - it quoted my food to be ready in 15 minutes but I got the text that it was ready in just 7 minutes. Fast service! When you pull up, it's a bit hidden in the strip center so keep an eye out for the Chubbies sign or you might unknowingly drive past. The restaurant itself is very small with only a few tables for dining in, so I think it's meant to be more of a takeout place. My food was ready for me to pick up on the shelf to the right of the counter. I was able to get additional napkins and ketchup at the adjacent self-serve station. I got the Chubbie and Rodeo Clown sliders with a side of fries. Total came out to just over $11 after tax which is pretty reasonable for lunch. The Chubbie is their classic slider, patty with cheese and diced onions. The Rodeo Clown was a patty with cheese, bacon, and onion ring. These came with a side of their house Chubbie sauce for dipping. I did like the Rodeo Clown much more because of the add-ons for the same price as the Chubbie. Nonetheless, both sliders tasted good and with the side of fries, I was content. I will say that the real deal was a bit of a disappointment compared to the photos they have on their online menu. IRL, the sliders appeared smaller and flatter. The fries were standard straight cut fries served in a paper bag. I do wish that they would have at least put the fries in a cup or butcher paper inside the bag, because all the grease got soaked up in the paper bag and made for a bit of a mess. I hope that this place makes it, as the employee (owner?) working the counter when I came in seemed like a genuine guy who was happy to help. I'd love to try more of their sliders as well as the chicken tenders because I read that these are massive!

I came on a Friday night and there was a long line. When I looked upfront, I realized why. There were only two people working there. But they were holding it down!! They were working hard to get everyone's order. I got the two piece dark. It took a little while, but it was worth it! Even though I ordered two, they gave me three - maybe because they were closing soon. The chicken was so hot and crispy and juicy!! And omg the hot-sauce! It was really good on the chicken. Also it comes with a jalapeño which I drizzled over the chicken. I also had greens and a roll to top it off. Delicious! Can't wait to go back :)

To be honest the service is slow and at times they're rude and don't wanna do their job. One of the only positive things I can say is that even though the service is slow, the food comes out hot & fresh. I would hope so since they're not busy. My to go orders are usually the 3 piece campus with either mash potatoes, red beans and rice, collard greens & dirty rice. Or I'll get their 3 piece catfish. Sometimes I'll get the dessert (peach cobbler & sweet potato pie). While the chicken comes out hot & fresh. There is zero seasoning on the chicken itself. Not even a pinch of salt. They rely on the batter for flavor. Don't get me wrong the batter is salty & delicious for my palate but the chicken is so bland. Collard greens are uninspiring & boring but edible. Mash potatoes taste just fine but their gravy adds a layer of flavor. Red beans and rice once again, flavorless & they always give you one measly piece of sausage. Their dirty rice is a little dry but not bad. Now for the catfish I actually enjoy it. The batter is the same as their chicken & the fish itself is moist and juicy. The desserts feel like it's store bought and not made in house but it's bearable. Overall, this location ain't it. It's located next to a gas station & the area itself isn't safe. The inside of the restaurant isn't clean either. Lazy & rude employees don't make it any better. If you want some good Frenchy's go to the one on 3rd ward. I would frequently go there but that's no where close to my house so I have to settle for this location. I hope they make improvements before they shut down.
