I had lunch here a couple of weeks ago with this being my first visit to a Smalls Sliders restaurant. Several have opened up in Houston recently and this spot was started about 8 months ago. Not know anything about the brand, I was surprised to realize that it doesn't have an interior dining room. Instead Smalls is a to go eatery only dispensing food either thru a drive thru or walk up window. They do have a small covered outside eating area with a few picnic tables on fake grass. I ordered the meal of 2 sliders, waffle fries and a soft drink for $9.79. I ordered at a walk up window and the food was ready in less than 5 minutes and served in a bag. I thought both sliders were good tasting. Juicy and flavorful. The waffle fries were seasoned and good tasting too. Unfortunately they only serve ketchup in packets so you need a dozen or so to provide enough ketchup. This meal was good tasting and affordable. My main negative is that you'll usually have to eat your food in your car or take it home. Kind of like Checkers and Rally's. It's fast food so the food should be consistent but not warrant more than a 3 score. This is a good option for a burger and fries meal to go. read more

Located down the street from i10 and on the Main Street of Gessner Road you will find this deliciously fresh mini burger spot that serves up old school flavor with a modern look. The menu is simple and straight to the point, which made it extremely easy to order. All three of us got the two slider meal with the waffle fries and a soda, and one of us got a cookies and cream milkshake with our meal....all delicious and fresh. I recommend buying an extra side of "Smauce" for dipping your waffle fries in. Overall the food was delicious and was gone by time we made it home. Would have eaten outdoors on their patio, but it was 100° degrees today, but I wouldn't mind sitting out in the patio whenever it cools down, even looks like they had fans out there. Saw this location is on Gessner, right past Westview. I saw one of my fellow Yelp purses went to one yesterday and I decided to check this one out as this one is closest to home. I ordered a two slider combo which comes with a waffle fries and a drink for my drink. I had a vanilla shake. The sliders were very good. The bread was very soft. It only comes with one pickle, but I could live with that and the vanilla shake was really good. Service was great. I went through the drive-through and it went very quickly. There is a small patio. well not really that small but one way you could sit out and eat if you decided that you didn't want to take yours to go. I highly recommend visiting them if you like sliders or any type of burgers they were excellent. read more

Tried there 3 smalls combo and upgraded the burgers from smalls to biggie smalls (two patty's instead of one). The sliders were a smash burger style which I prefer. Each burger had melted cheese, pickles, and had there signature "smauce" on it. The burger was super tasty and the creamy sauce reminded me of in-and-out's animal sauce. (7/10) The fries were also crispy and had good seasoning. (6.5/10) This is the perfect food for after a night out and the best part is that this location is open until 3 am. My only complaint is that I wish they served more fries with the combo. They only have limited outdoor seating and are mainly a grab and go spot so keep that in mind. read more

Went thru the drive thru. It moved pretty fast so that's good . My Coke Zero tasted like carbonated water but they kindly swapped it out for a sweet tea which was good. I ordered the 2. The sliders were great for a fast food place and drive through. I mean this place def moves up in my top fast food joints for sure now. The waffle fries is what really makes this place elites curly fries style seasoning in a waffle fry form. Only reason I would give this place 4 stars and not 5 is because the meals don't come with a dipping sauce. You should at least get one and not have to pay extra if you ordered a combo imo. Facebook, you suckered me into going here with all your ads and announcements for the grand opening. I went on their grand opening day because it's very close to where I work, but I was quite disappointed with my overall experience! I appreciated that there were kids and staff helping out by passing out flyers and free samples of their vanilla shake, but that was where the red carpet treatment stopped. Only 1x person was taking orders for a drive-thru concept sliders restaurant! Definitely not efficient for a grand opening day. I noticed many staff and maybe possibly corporate employees talking and standing around amongst themselves while a young, seemingly newly trained employee was standing there taking all the orders for a menu that consists of sliders, fries and shakes... it took my co worker and I roughly 30 minutes to sit through the drive-thru line and grab our "kids meal!" PSA: their first combo is a kids meal which basically consists of 1 slider, a few fries and a kid size soft drink. Not advertised well. Nothing stood out to me about their sliders !! In fact, their waffle fries and queso tastes better than their sliders! The meat patty had no flavor, and they were stingy with the pickles and their signature sauce...so it was a bit on the drier side... They have a free queso when you sign up on their app but be warned, it's a tiny plastic to-go container with only a little bit of queso. Not what you would think when you get a "side" of queso. Quite a few hiccups, I think they have potential, but I wasn't really impressed overall. read more

I went on a Monday afternoon during lunch rush hour. There was a bit of a line in the drive thru, but honestly they kept that line moving. So the wait wasn't that long to me. Keep in mind it's basically a drive thru only restaurant. There is an order/pickup window with a few dining tables outside, but who is about to be outside in this Texas heat. I ordered their 3 sliders combo with a side of their queso cheese. While I disagree with the price & portion size, it was good. It came with seasoned waffle fries and a medium drink. Apparently if you get the 4 sliders that will come with a large drink. There were servers outside in the drive thru line taking orders and keeping the line moving. Poor things were out there in that sun with no tent/shelter and no fan. And even with that, they still were patient and kind to us. I ate one slider before getting back on the road and tried some of it with the cheese. I liked the sliders. It was good. More patty than a Krystal's or White Castle. Best thing was seasoned waffle fries. Eat them fresh. Sliders were good but I think I'm the type that can't just do meat, bread, cheese. Look this is no papa's burgers or pub cap or any of the other height and burger places in Houston but you won't be disappointed. The food is very good. The burgers were juicy and very tasty. She provided five star customer service remembered everyone in the lines, names and orders as well as with hustling back-and-forth by herself working the entire drive-through line on a busy day. They offer Outside dining, which is not ideal for Houston heat, but I took my food to go because I was in a hurry. I'll definitely be back. Told by one of the workers that this restaurant is owned by Drew Brees and that it was bought here from Louisiana. I have never seen one in the boot but I hope y see more. I've been excited to try this place since it's construction, and I'm glad I was able to do so yesterday. I rounded down from 3.5 stars and I'll explain why. First, I have to give a huge shoutout to the drive through person taking my order. I wish I had gotten her name, but she was a vibe. She was kind, patient, and just gave off this infectious energy. In a drive through! I was so hyped for my food after, I loved my interaction with her. Overall, the customer service was fantastic. My wife and I I ordered the three slider combo with a cookies and cream shake and four a la carte sliders, biggie smalls style. The fries were good. People have given their complaints to the fires in the reviews, and I'd say they're on point. The shake was exactly what you'd expect, which is above average for me at fast food places. They make good shakes, at least what you're expecting from a shake. So the burgers... People are correct, they're a bit dry. It almost feels like they're cooking for too long or they have the patties on a hot stove, already cooked, waiting to be put on a burger. This is a franchise so I don't know how much power they have but I'd suggest at least two things: Add one more pickle to your burgers. Figure out how you can provide grilled onions. You can charge for them! They would help a ton with the set up that features patties chilling on a grill until the order comes through. If not the onions, then y'all need to grill the patties when ordered. I realize that'll increase time via drive through, but people will sacrifice the time for the fresher patty. I want to reiterate, the people working there during my visit were amazing. No notes. My review is specifically directed towards how Smalls Sliders approaches preparing their sliders. It's not on the cooks, it's on corporate and their ideal as to how to make a slider place efficient. You can sacrifice efficiency for quality, all I'm saying. Might be back, going to give it a few months. I love sliders so I hope their approach, as a company, to the patty preparation improves. read more

Fresh, hot, simple, and convenient -- a solid, kid-friendly burger spot. The burgers were good and satisfying, while the fries were pretty basic but still decent. The staff really stood out friendly, attentive, and even helped carry my order to my car, which I appreciated. I ordered online and picked up at the walk-up window on a cold, windy day, so I can't fully judge the ambience but a few outdoor heaters would be a nice touch while waiting. We ordered the no. 2 biggie sized and the 4oz cheese sauce on the side. We requested no smauce but the order was made incorrect so we were served the order as is. The bun was buttery and the meat cheese tasted plain and despite pickle being an ingredient it was nowhere to be found. The waffle fries were batter seasoned but tasted like freezer burn cooked potato, most unpleasant and the cheese sauce was ok. The drink we ordered had to be replaced bc the sprite was flat but the staff was kind and replaced it with a non carbonated lemonade.
