I had been going to the Threading Spa in Braintree because I live near there and was having to wait until the weekend or was in the area to get my eyebrows done. I started looking near my job so I could get them done on my lunch break during the week and be done. Well, I stumbled upon Raj's and let's say I am so impressed that I will no longer go to anyone else. The best threading jobs I have EVER had in my 5+ years of doing this, hands down. These ladies manage to keep them clean but maintain the thickness that I like. They literally look like I've had them done by a celebrity eyebrow specialist or something, for only $8! I think Raj Collections definitely has great prices, wasn't very happy with the outcome of my eyebrows. My eyebrows don't look terrible but I've definitely had better. I've been getting my eyebrows threaded all my life, so I know a thing or two about getting them shaped and trimmed to my liking. Great place to get your eyebrows threaded. It's only eight dollars which I believe is an incredible deal. They really take their time, as well as trim them. They had no problem dealing with me being picky and asking them to follow my perfectionist Way of taking out one specific care in certain places. This place was great I even gave 100% tip. For someone that spent half an hour on my eyebrows I didn't feel right spending anything less than 16$. Also I never buy things for myself. But I did have a little hole in my eyebrow from me doing my eyebrows in the past. They showed me an amazing eyebrow gel with a small brass, it was $25 and they sold me I bought it. I have lived in Boston for four years and have gone to a lot of threading places. A lot of those places have been too pricey, too far, and the customer service wasn't all that great... I have been going to Raj's Collections for over a year and it is by far one of the b e s t threading places I've ever been to. The best part is that this isn't just a threading place. This is a multi-faceted store that sells beautiful Indian/Nepali saris, lovely jewelry and accessories, and threading services. Raj, the owner, is one of the most beautiful souls I've ever met. She is so down to earth and you never would have thought she's the owner of the store. But she treats her customers individually with undivided attention and always has a smile on her face. Sheela, who also works at Raj's, has also taken good care of me and is very sweet. I'm never disappointed whenever I walk in and they have helped me by giving me the best customer service and looking my best. I've also bought accessories from them which my friends and family have absolutely loved. So if you want inexpensive threading costs, but amazing customer service and attention to detail; and have the chance to buy some pretty awesome authentic clothes or accessories - this is the place. I tried this place two more times and the customer service sucks. The woman was talking in Nepali and I spoke in nepali , the girl gave me a look like you are too ugly to be nepali. She said :" eek ! you don't look Nepali " Then I insisted I wanted the owner to be my eye brows ..the owner was like my staff can do a good job. But earlier when I asked the staff - she was like if you are not comfortable with me , you should do them with the owner only. I thought I was being sensitive and thought will try again. The owner seemed irritated to do my eye brows. She does a good job but the attitude sucks. I am better off at Aalok Fashions - they treat me with respect ! After 4 yrs of living in Boston, I finally feel like I have a go-to spot for Indian clothing tailoring and alterations! I'm always super super nervous (maybe this is just me) about handing over clothing to be altered or material to be made into blouses, because these items are not replaceable, and I've had many times that someone's taken my measurements and come up with a blouse that does not fit well at ALL (which is a huge waste of money and time). Raj and the nice lady who also does the alterations (sorry I forgot her name!), have done a handful of things for me now, and I've found that everything is either spot on, or needs just a slight tweak that gets done immediately after I try on the item to be perfect. The first day I came, they did my measurements for a blouse, and when I came back a couple weeks later, it fit like a glove and was exactly like I had asked them to make it. They also gave me advice on some of the blouse details I wasn't sure about. Since then, they've also made a plain cotton blouse from some blouse material I chose from at the store, altered 2 blouses that had already been made but were not properly sized, moved the clasp on a half-saree skirt, and made a blouse and sewn the fall and pico on a saree material I brought to them. They have kept my measurements in their book, so all I have to do is drop off my items and when I come back they fit! Prices are very reasonable, cash only. I haven't bought any clothing from them, but it seems like they have a much more extensive collection than any other store I've seen in the area. read more

I am very happy with Raj's threading services. She is clean, quick, professional and her rates are quite reasonable. She is also great with waxing, it is almost painless! Do not shop here. They are so incredibly rude. I told that it was important for me to find a dress for my first Indian's wedding in India. My friend said they ripped me off and charged me double the price that they charged her. Then I went to pick up my dress and stones were falling off. They said not that many which wasn't true as I was holding it they kept falling off. I asked if they had another or could take money off and they refused. I have also gotten a bridesmaid dress hemmed and my hair cut there twice -I have very thick, straight hair and needed to get my hair thinned. I went to this store to look for indian outfits which are very hard to find in the Massachusetts area. When I walked into the store I sensed that it was pretty bland and a bit outdated. They had really nice outfits hanging towards the back but the front of the store seemed like it could use some more color. I was greeted when I walked in but the lady seemed aloof. I asked her to see if I could try a few outfits on so she said she would measure the outfits and me to see if they were my size since the sizes were not listed on the outfits. When she measured me she gasped when she said my size outloud, it was very rude and that's horrible customer service! She then measured the outfits and said I'm sorry I don't have your size. Thats fine if you don't but please don't judge me for my size, that was not called for and she just lost a customer! read more

I am waaaay overdue for a review for here. Back when I lived in Waltham, years ago, my best friend introduced me to threading and we had been to 2 other places on Moody st until Raj Collections opened, she told me to try this place . Both previous places were ok, but Raj Collections is the perfect place to go for threading! Ever since my first visit here, I have been back ever since. I now live in Lowell and I make the drive just to get my eyebrows and upper lips threaded done here and I refuse to go anywhere else. I get both services for the amazing price of $11 (half the price you would get the services for at a mall by people who don't know what they're doing) and I absolutely LOVE the results every single time! I have been to 4 threading spas and I always end up coming back for the ladies to work their magic on me. Sheela was my go to girl but unfortunately she hasn't been in since having her baby, but Sonia (I believe that's her name) has also won a place in my heart lol. I loved what I was going to purchase and was okay with the stitching and actual price for it, I made the payment and then was asked to pay another extra for fitting. I thought that was outrageous . I asked to speak to the owner and she calls back and tells me that if I am not happy with the extra charges for fitting then I can be reimbursed back. I felt the owner's customer service was unacceptable and was not willing to work with the customer. I'm not one to write reviews but this one is a must! I've always gotten my eyebrows waxed for years and wasn't really into threading at all. My friend convinced me to try it and brought me to Raj Collections one evening where my life and eyebrows have been changed for the better. Raj, herself, did my eyebrows and she spent a little bit more time on them since it was my first experience. She explained threading to me, and said to at least try it; she went on to explain that she could get the same results with waxing too. Raj is the BEST! I walked in here by accident one night--it was too cold to walk further down the street to Aalok--and I haven't gone anywhere else since. Other threading salons I've been at have felt very rushed and impersonal; but Raj takes the time to talk to you, discuss what you want for your eyebrows, and give you personal, one-on-one attention that is not at all rushed. She goes hair by hair if necessary until your brows are perfect. I am so thrilled with how great my eyebrows look--I could never do it on my own, and other threading salons have not done as well with my eyebrows, either. On top of the great threading service, Raj just rocks my world--she is so funny and sweet; she has mended a bunch of my sweaters (and done a GREAT job--I can't even tell when she has done work on my clothes); and she has a great collection of clothes and jewelry. (At my last appointment, I left with gorgeous eyebrows AND a gorgeous pair of handmade, sterling silver earrings with real semiprecious gemstones.) Raj is a hidden jewel--not just for her threading, but also for her entire store and her customer-centered service approach. If I ever move out of Waltham, I will still come back here to see Raj! I had a very bad experience from the owner(Raji) of Raj collections today. I took a 6:30 PM appointment for haircut as i had to go for a wedding Saturday. I took an hr off from my work and went there. I had 1.5 hrs drive to Waltham and just before 2 miles from the store there was a heavy traffic block and I reached there 5 min late, meantime I called them and informed that i will be late by 5 mins. After reaching there I waited for 5 min(which is ok for me) and suddenly the owner announced(there were other customers and she was busy) that she cannot do the blow dry as I am 5 min late.I told her my situation(long drive n all) but she responded rudely and told that it is your fault that you are late and she cannot do the blow dry. As I didn't had another option at that time, just got my hair cut alone. But there wasn't any change in the rates even though they were not providing complete service. The service you are getting is just based on the owners mood. I agree that I am 5 min late but at least if she informed that she cannot do complete service at the time I called, I could try finding another option, she just spoiled my plans. Haircut was ok, but didn't felt like its complete. I will not recommend anyone to go there. read more
